Turkey Hollow is nestled in the rolling hills of Holmes County Ohio. We are right on the edge of the largest Amish settlement in the nation. The primitive campground is in the corner of a small 40 acre farm owned by Matt Polcyn. He started the campground 8 years ago because of his love for nature and real camping. He enjoys traveling in many places in the States and the Caribbean islands and loves finding places off of the beaten path and not commercialized. Because of his interest and love for primitive camping he decided to open the campground in order to provide the same opportunity as a getaway primitive camping location that he tries to find when he travels. We had a great time at Shady Maple cabin! It was a beautiful place to unwind, de-stress, and be in an amazing setting! The cabin had everything you would need for a relaxing time. We love a good log cabin and this did not disappoint! It was clean, had snacks, jacuzzi tub inside, a hot tub outside, board games, was private enough and everything worked as it should. Shout out to the hosts for sharing this beautiful property with us! Will definitely go back!

We had a great stay at one of the cabins on Matt’s property. It got a little cold one night but nothing we couldn’t handle. Had a very nice campfire that kept us warm! We hope to get back there again next year!

Weekend Trip to The Turkey Hollow Campground

This was a wonderful location! We used infrared and night vision plus Heat sensors down in the hollow looking for Bigfoot. Had a great fire at the fire pit. Spent Saturday at the Bigfoot Conference. Drove over to salt fork state forest - packed like sardines there vs turkey Hollow - never felt crowded. Will definitely return. There is electrical and one light inside the cabin - didn’t have to use my ECOFLOW. Bring your cot or rollout matt - plenty of room. Approx 16x16 cabinets with porch. Outside there are plenty of trees for hammocks as well. Two port a John’s to choose from and water outside the cabin. Again, I will be back! Thx … this was a great accidental find. The Seabee Clem

A beautiful and quiet place, would definitely recommend staying here! The cabin was clean and cozy. I would recommend parking near the first campground where the wood is and not by your cabin unless you have 4wheel drive because the hill is quite steep. I definitely plan to stay here again!

We absolutely loved camping out at Turkey Hollow! This campground was so quiet and peaceful. The land was beautiful and there was tons of things to do to keep us busy. Our time here went way to fast but we will definitely be booking again & again! We had no complaints what so ever and can't wait to come back. The nature is beautiful and the sky at night is stunning to say the least. If your looking for a quiet, peaceful, & beautiful place to get away, I highly recommend this campground. Its a beautiful escape from reality. This campground is easy to book, affordable, and was really clean and chill. A+ from us !! Hot water ✔️ Toilet ✔️ Wash station ✔️ All you have to do now is book your stay and start making memories 😀 lol We look forward to coming back!!

Me and a couple friends stayed for a night in the cabins, it’s a pretty area and relatively quiet! there is a bit of construction during the days but you really don’t notice it. Also the gravel roads are a bit bumpy but that’s to be expected, all in all a successful trip.

It was nice, quiet, and relaxing. My husband and I enjoyed staying in the clean cabin and canoeing on the pond. Make sure to bring an extension cord as there is no electricity in the cabins, but there's an outlet outside. So we went to Walmart which was a short drive away, for a 100 ft. cord, which was needed for the Poplar cabin. The other cabin is closer to the outlet. The cabins have a deck for you to sit on with privacy. Be sure to bring your chairs. Overall, we enjoyed our stay! It was great!

The land is simple & peaceful. Only what you need & nothing more. The pond was a lot of fun for both fishing & swimming.

Great cabins. I would suggest renting both and maybe the Kermit’s bottom campground outside for a memorable large gathering. Sweet location. Never found the shower though. I’m sure it’s there somewhere within the trees, but it was invisible to us.

Beautiful camp ground. There’s a pond you can fish in and there’s a 4 person kayak that is a ton of fun. The two small cabins we stayed in were perfect. The experience was well worth it. I’d recommend getting thee two cabins along with the meadow at the bottom of the hill (Kermit’s bottom) for large get-togethers. The only negative thing was that we couldn’t find the shower and didn’t have anybody that we could ask where it was. Great time if you’re looking for a secluded camping stay.

Words cannot describe how much we enjoyed this stay! It was our first time using the Hipcamp app and the description was spot on! We happened to be the only campers at the time and that was great! The owners sons came and took my grandson crawdad and minnow "fishing" in the creek! We were given a tour of the animals and was able to feed the cows. The use of the pavillion was great because we had rainy days! The hosts were very accommodating, the scenery and sounds of nature were soothing! We ❤️ this spot!

It was an amazing and enjoyable trip to just relax and take in nature. We fished in the pond and the grandkids loved it. Downfall is that the porta potty’s were FULL. Glad we brought a bucket potty and we have an outdoor shower tent so we were looking forward to a hot shower but the insta hot would not work so cold shower just to get mud off. Great place and would return and recommend to everyone.

Hosted a craft camp recently with 10 women and had a wonderful time at the farm. Shelia and her family were very open to communication throughout the booking process and during the stay. We had cold weather and she was incredibly efficient with our requests for more wood and questions about the hot water (which worked well throughout our stay). Grateful for wagons to use for unpacking and packing and a clean porta potty throughout the weekend. The property is as advertised with exceptional service. The cinnamon rolls are a must have!

Weekend Trip to Pleasant Valley Farm Camp

We love camping at this spot! The area is always clean and accessible. The communal pavilion with running water is a huge plus. There is a Porta Potty which is always in great shape. The hosts are super responsive and kind-they were great when we needed to purchase some extra firewood. There is a grate so you can cook over the campfire. There are TONS of great hiking trails, a pretty stream, and farm animals. We also love this spot because it is right down the road from Wooly Pig Brewery and a great little market called McKenna's Farm Market.

Weekend Trip to Tranquil Acres Cabins

We had a great time spending our weekend at Cozy Pine Cabin for my Husband’s birthday. The area was beautiful and peaceful. The cabins were also not too close from each other which is great! We enjoyed being in the Hot tub on a cold weather, We love the amenities especially the outdoor gas grill, fire pit (with free fire wood), whirlpool tub for two and many more!! I was also impressed with the host for being so responsive and for granting our request to make our stay convenient and memorable. Truly a star host! ✅Self check in and check out ✅Functional amenities ✅Good smelling sheets/linen ✅Very responsive and accommodating host Looking forward to be back in summer and see what activities they can offer! 👍
