Travelers, wanderers, students, naturalists, collaborators, creators, and the curious - stopping by or settling in - you’re in for a retreat beyond the ordinary!

Artemis Gardens BnB is more than just a place to sleep (in cozy, enchanting bedrooms) and eat (delicious food the host makes for you). It’s an eclectic oasis nestled within nature, infused with art, and just a few miles from Dayton - very convenient if you’re attending an event or visiting someone in Ohio!

I live on the property in a separate cabin, with three indoor cats - Artemis, Luna, and Nemo. They can hang with you or I can keep them away depending on your preference.  When I book individual rooms, I fix breakfast for my guests. When the entire cabin is booked, I can still provide breakfast or you can have the place all to yourself. You’ll always have my contact info and I won’t be too far away.

Nature is strong here. The cabin is rustic, some of the native plants can be prickly, and pollinators are everywhere - including the honeybees with stingers (who live in three different natural hives on the property). 

In other words, stay aware of your surroundings.

• Stroll among the flowers, fresh air, and sounds of nature.  

• Enjoy homemade breakfast noms in the sunroom.

• Check out a book from the home library. 

• Get the band back together in the music lounge. 

• Dip into the art supplies if inspiration strikes. 

• Close the curtains and nap anytime in your own private bedroom made for a goddess. 

• Gather your friends, book all three of the rooms, and reconnect for a weekend. 

• Meet new friends by mingling with fellow guests in the safe, inclusive shared spaces. 

• It’s only five miles back to the BnB if you’re going to a show at Rose Music Center. 

• Take a five minute drive to see Charleston Falls and hike. 

• Need a picnic packed or candlelight dessert setup? You got it. 

• Build a fire outside. 

• Craft culinary creations in the stocked and equipped kitchen. 

• Finish the novel you started writing. 

• Finish the tv show you started watching. 

• Enjoy the view of the stars from the back deck or while perched in the Lyra hoop in the sunroom.

This is a forested area including trails and a wooded wetland. Campfire sight is provided as well as a port a john toilet. 

  It is a rustic site with a small cabin and areas to pitch tents.  The area where the cabin sits is all pines. 

  Secluded area yet close to town. Easy access from State Route 33.

Walk in or drive in depending on your vehicle you drive.

   The cabin consist of a fold out bed, table and heater. 

Propane is provided as is a rustic portable ice chest inside the cabin.

For those that desire to shoot small handguns we do have a pistol range on the property.

In addition we have a small wooded dock area beside the wetlands to relax and enjoy.

Our site was rated as Tree Farmer of the year (2021).

Lots of wildlife and again very private oasis in the midst of a growing rural community.

 In addition GreyOaks has tent camping spots as well!

Also near Indian Lake is the Mad River Mountain ski resort, the Ohio and Zane Caverns, the Piatt Castles, the Neil Armstrong Air and Space Museum, and Marmon Valley Farms with horseback riding, all open to the public.  Also just fifteen minutes to two other small towns where you will find big box stores to stock up on your supplies for however long you stay. We know your stay with us will bring you one of the quietest night's sleep you've ever had, with all the sights and smells the country has to offer, and convenience to many nearby activities, all at a price you can't beat!

LRB Farm Hidden Escape

Little Riverbend farm was established in 1996 by Dave and Traci Bitler. The original property was settled sometime in the mid 1800s with the main house built sometime between 1872-1875. Through several generations the property was passed between the original owners family members, then split up and sold into lots. When the Bitlers purchased the property in 1996, the main house was sold with 3 acres and the 2 stall barn. Then in 2015 they were able to purchase an additional 9 acres of adjoining property giving them the additional pasture and woods running along the Auglaize River.Learn more about this land:Pitch your tent in a secluded site nestled between a&nbsp;babbling creek and pasture. Located behind 8 acres of lush horse pasture,&nbsp;a mini working dairy goat farm and few chickens and ducks for fresh breakfast eggs. You'll have access to a fire ring, firewood, and a wrought iron picnic table with chairs and scenic views along the Auglaize river.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Country Outpost RV Site

Looking for a couple acres all to yourself?&nbsp; Then overnight your self-contained RV at our retired Christmas tree farm.&nbsp; An active "choose-n-cut" tree farm until 2019, we're letting most of our farm grow wild with some deciduous&nbsp;trees also. There are walking trails throughout the "woods" and around our 3/4 acre fishing pond (catch n release please).&nbsp; Relax on the bench on the old country store porch or by the fire ring, fish, or stretch your legs and walk the dog.&nbsp; &nbsp;A pleasant, private, isolated spot in the country to overnight or spend a couple days.&nbsp;

If you're a small family staying just one night, there is no "extra guest" fee for dependent&nbsp;children.

Includes a 30 amp service hookup.&nbsp; Gravel parking lot angles slightly up hill.&nbsp;&nbsp; No tents, no&nbsp;swimming please.&nbsp; 2 nights max per stay.&nbsp;&nbsp;No bathrooms on site! Operated by Outpost Enterprises, LTD

Welcome to Chippewa, a waterfront community on Indian Lake in Ohio!&nbsp; Electric, (well)water is on 4/15-11/01 bring water during off season, sewer, trash included!&nbsp; Bring your street legal Golfcart, Kayaks, Canoes, Bikes, Jet Skis, and&nbsp;Boat. Chippewa offers: State Park, Boat Ramp/launch, Public Bathrooms, (Waterfront) Moose Lodge, FOE/Eagles, Gas Station/Grocery/Deli/Beer Cave/General Store, Bait &Tackle Shop, and Dollar General- just a Golf Cart ride away! In under a 5 minute car ride you can be at Indian Lake State Beach/(Oldfield Beach), (waterfront) Achesons Resort, (waterfront) Tilton Hilton, (pool & waterfront) Froggy's on the Lake, and even a few other places to grab a bite to eat.

We are half an hour from Mad River Mountain, which offers winter activities such as snow tubing & skiing.

Sea of Green Campsite

If you are here in the spring through fall, you can expect a "sea of green". We are surrounded by corn, soybeans or some other mid-west crop. It's quiet out here, so enjoy the sunshine. We put out a large garden each year and we'd love your help.

Right now, we can only offer primitive camping. Our electric is not operational. 

If there has been a lot of rain (April and part of May), then the ground is too soft for camping. However, if you just need a spot we have some gravel driveways where you can set up. 

There are lots of places to visit while you are here. Two large lakes with free public access are about 40 miles away - Lake Loramie and Grand Lake St. Marys. Lake Loramie has a public beach, bicycle rentals, canoes and kayaks. There is a great restaurant across from the State Park.
