RV Owners PLEASE READ to the end for directions. We are a private campground and wedding venue in the heart of Hocking County. We are located 9 miles from Laurelville, 16.4 miles from Logan, 17 miles from Lancaster, 19 miles from Circleville, where stores and dinning are abundant and easily accessible. The property is full of wildlife and magnificent views and rainbows galore, with minimal light pollution, our night sky's are spectacular. We are within a 30 minutes drive of all of Hocking Hills State Parks, Nature preserves and so much more. Hocking Hills features beautiful towering cliffs, thrilling waterfalls, and deep, hemlock-shaded gorges. With stunning ice formations in winter, wildflowers adorning the forest floor in springtime and vivid foliage in the fall, hikers and nature lovers have plenty to enjoy in this awe-inspiring area. Other local activities include, rock climbing, ziplining, ATV/UTV Rentals and tours, along with Canoe/Kayaking on the hocking river, horseback riding and so much more. Southern Ohio offers some amazing roads for motorcycle rides, including the Hocking Hills Scenic Byway, The Windy 9, The Triple Nickel and Three Rivers . Please message me on the morning of your stay with an ETA so I can make sure I'm here to great you. RVers if you are coming in from US Rte 33 please use Buena Vista Rd. Buena Vista Rd is one exit after Oppossum Hollow if you are heading East on 33 and also one exit pass 374 if you are heading West on 33. GPS will usually route you onto Oppossum Hollow Rd or State Rte 374. The State Rte 374 route will have you turn onto Oppossum Hollow. Oppossum Hollow road is a one lane unlined rd and is not the best for RVs. Taking Buena Vista Rd will only add about a mile and a few minutes to your trip. Be advised Buena Vista is a very curvey road but is traveled by large vehicles all the time. Just take it slow and you will be fine. We have a dully truck and 45 ft rig that we bring in and out just fine. If you are coming in from the South (Chillicothe area.) From State Rte 180, please take Jack Run Rd. This is also a paved two lane road. All other roads in the area are single lane rds and are not the best for RVs (don't use Middlefork, Long Run, Stump Run, or Clapper Hollow off of State Rte 180). Safe Travels..

Mostly wooded, this 7.2-acre property features rolling hills and a stream. The woods include groves and unique spaces to explore, and by 2026 the paths will be more fully formed for easier access. The hills throughout the property provide beautiful views, and the landscape is alive with ferns, moss, deer, pollinators, trees, and plants. Thanks to the excellent air and water quality, salamanders and toads also thrive here—though they may take a little searching to spot. During the day, the dappled light makes the site feel magical. The campsite includes a furnished yurt with a bed, fold-out couch, chair, table, and beverage bar for coffee, tea, and water. Propane burners and utensils are provided for cooking, along with an open-fire grill (removable from the fire pit if needed). The outhouse features a composting toilet, a wash area for hands and face, basic hygiene products, and potable water. Additional potable water is also available in the yurt. A dining table with chairs is provided, and plenty of firewood and kindling are stocked for your stay. Solar lights along the trail, on the outhouse, and on the yurt create a warm, cozy atmosphere at night. This property is conveniently located within 20 minutes of the UNESCO World Heritage Hopewell Mound sites, Legend Valley, and Buckeye Lake (30 minutes), as well as OSU Newark, Denison University, the Longaberger Basket Building, and Dawes Arboretum. Grocery stores and restaurants are nearby, with a gas station and mini market just half a mile down the road. Columbus city center is about a 45–50 minute drive. The drive here follows scenic country roads, so please be mindful of winding turns and local wildlife along the way. While visiting, you may hear or see our chickens and pups, though they stay close to the house.

A beautiful secluded cabin near The Wilds Safari Park. We have 30 acres of property for you to explore and unplug and unwind on. The cabin is a bit off-grid meets high-tech. We are on a rainwater collection system that is permitted through the Health Department and our propane is trucked in, but we have electricity and Wi-Fi. There is no TV though you'll need to spend time talking, playing games and just enjoying the beautiful peaceful surroundings.

My friend and I had a wonderful time at the campground. The RV is very nice and clean, quiet and surrounding by nature, have everything you need. Marcy is very nice and kind, responsive and got everything ready for us before our arrival. We couldn’t ask for a better get away to relax, recharge and enjoy the nature. Also, it’s only 20 mins drive to Hocking Hills State Park if you want to check out some of the beautiful hiking trails. We definitely will be back :)

This was the perfect stay for my daughter and I for a nearby wedding. Everything we needed to get ready, and enjoyed a serene fire while we were there. Marcy greeted us upon arrival and showed us everything we needed. My only complaint was we didn’t stay long enough to explore the area, and I would love to come back when I have more time! Beautiful setting!

We recently had our first-ever glamping experience at Canvas Cottages, and I can confidently say it set an impossibly high bar. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this wasn't just a place to stay—it was a truly special, detail-oriented experience. We stayed in the magnificent Bombay Belle, which was far more than just a tent; it was a huge, luxurious, and perfectly equipped sanctuary. The hosts have literally thought of every single thing you could possibly need, all while maintaining a commitment to sustainability. The entire space was spotlessly clean and felt incredibly comfortable. What truly made our stay so relaxing and memorable were the incredible amenities and activities. We spent our days by the fire pit, tried our hand at fishing, and had a blast with the classic nostalgic games. The unique activities like tomahawk throwing and archery added a fun, adventurous twist to the getaway. We also loved the secret library, which was such a cool touch! Beyond the beautiful accommodations and activities, the hosts were absolutely lovely people who made us feel so welcome. Their wonderful dog, Spirit, was an absolute joy and a perfect companion to the serene surroundings. This was more than just a trip—it was a chance to disconnect and fully immerse ourselves in a beautiful, peaceful environment. It was absolutely beautiful! Knowing it was our honeymoon they went out of their way to get us a bottle of wine, forest cover meant even the rain through out the weekend never spoiled our fun, and the honey is to die for! I promise they have thought of everything you haven’t! With so many activities and amazing relaxing spots you’d never have to leave! The most sweet pup wonders the property, who often came to get some love and check in on us! Super close to some amazing spots - you’ll have to ask the owners for their favorites spots!

Weekend Trip to Chipmunk Ridge

A great little cabin to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It’s very remote and secluded but is accessible by a gravel road. I think we counted 3 trucks and 2 side by sides as traffic for the entire weekend! The cabin was neat as a button and every question a guest could ever ask was already addressed either in their cabin manual or little notes adjacent to the items. It is SOOOO quiet! What a great place to relax and unwind. Many trails criss-cross the property so bring comfortable shoes. Thanks for the opportunity to share your little slice of heaven!

Diana and Don’s land is truly a magical place! We left the weekend feeling rested, recharged, and grateful to have spent time on such a beautiful property with such lovely hosts. From the gorgeous Bombay Belle tent to the hammocks on the dock—and one of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve ever seen in their stunning woods—this place is incredibly special and will leave you with lasting memories. I also want to add how incredibly accommodating they were to our dog 💗 She was treated so well, complete with her own adorable pup tent, and had a blast exploring the property alongside Diana and Don’s amazing dog, Spirit! We can’t wait to come back!

6 nights at Chipmunk Ridge

I had a wonderful time here. We stayed for a week and got to experience several thunder storms. Peaceful and serene location will lots of amenities. About a 30 min drive to the nearest town for resupply. While there is no TV there is WiFi and a small desk with a PC display and HDMI cable that I was able to plug into so I could complete some work. The shower, stove, and toilet all made the stay very comfortable. The wood burning stove was excellent as was the hvac system with A/C and heat, a refrigerator, and propane range in the kitchen. Would definitely stay again. Perfect for a romantic stay.
