Weekend Trip to Ohio Red Barn

We really enjoyed our weekend at Ohio Red Barn. Even though there was a bit more traffic on the road than we imagined, we still felt like we had privacy. We enjoyed the quiet nights and being so close to the Amish bakery and general store as well as Paint Creek. Great hiking nearby as well. We would definitely camp here again.

The Rattle Snake Creek boat ramp is only 1 mile from the property. Perfect for fishing (either by boat or shore) and recreational water sports. Likewise, the property is just minutes from public hunting. As a bonus, Rocky Fork lake is only a quick 15 minute drive. The property is in the middle of an Amish/Mennonite community, so you'll be able get your fresh produce and other delights as well.

Outside on deck is a propane grill ,dining table for 4 ,accent lighting , shower area with cold and hot enclosed area,sink .stairs lead down to a fire pit & hammock and across the campsite is the clean porta potty fully lit at night as is the shower area,Creek could be used for small mouth bass fishing ( Ohio fishing license)or swimming when water is up or floating around

Come stay on our 11 acers located just minutes away from Mad River Mountain ski resort, Indian Lake, Ohio Caverns, and Camp Myeerah. They have a great nature preserve with breathtaking hiking trails. Logan county is also home of the Piatt and Mac-O-Chee Castles both located 20 minutes from camp. For those who desire to shoot small or large guns, there is a gun store/range located next door to us. Great way to relieve some stress. (Able to watch the total solar eclipse. April 8th 2024.) We offer two excluded primitive sites with fire rings, spaced for privacy. Both surrounded by trees and wildlife. We have two porta john toilets in a central location with a hand washing station. If weather permits all vehicles have access to both sites.
