Welcome to Wickiup Cabins where adventure or relaxation can go hand in hand.  We have what you are looking for.  Our rustic yet modernized cabins were built in 1937 and provided all the comforts of home.   Perhaps, a wedding destination, family reunion, small company retreat or a destination for relaxing while enjoying our mountain streams and quiet peaceful settings under our 80 foot spruce trees. It is here you can also come for hunting, ATV riding, rock climbing above and below us, mountain biking, fishing, riding the Mickelson Trail, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse or historic Lead Deadwood to name some of our Black Hills offerings. We are located central to the Northern Black Hills at the top of Spearfish Canyon 10 minutes west of Lead Deadwood on Highway 85.  Wickiup has the monopoly on Spearfish Creek.  Long gone are the cabin camps that once provided memories for children to older folks never to be forgotten.  Warm summer days of tubing, fishing, panning for those gold flakes or just skipping rocks.

Downey Ranch Devils Tower

Welcome to the Downey Ranch!  The Downey Ranch has been in the family for over 60 years, and 4 generations.  We are a  working cattle ranch in Northeast Wyoming.  With views of the Devils Tower, and only minutes from world class Keyhole Lake, it is our little slice of heaven.  We were also the very first National Audubon Society Conservation Ranch in Wyoming and our commitment to our land is what makes our ranch special.  Part of the black hills of Wyoming, the ranch is a mixture of ponderosa pine canyons and sagebrush steppe prairie.  We own cattle, horses, chickens and our wonderful dogs.  Our wildlife includes Pronghorn Antelope, Mule and white tailed deer, mountain lions, prairie dogs, badgers, weasel, mink, beaver and much much more.  Our birdlife includes a highly visible Bald Eagle Nest, Blue Heron Rookery, and many other avian species. Quiet Cattle Ranch

We recently purchased this and put a house and fill basement in it. We have a cool old barn and corrals that have been there for decades, as well as other old buildings. We offer our basement as an Airbnb rental, and would like to offer camping opportunities as well. Redwater Revival Campground

Book a peaceful and beautiful site on a private creek.

The Redwater Revival Campground joined Hipcamp and was open during the 2020 summer season. Herb met and accommodated many wonderful guests and had a blast doing it. 

The red bluff in the background was a very strategic vantage point for early Indigenous Americans for hunting game that roamed the creek bottom.

The Redwater Creek is full of Brown and Rainbow trout. They are sneaky little buggers that can actually hear your footsteps when you are fishing along the bank.
Please make sure that you stay with us for some very restful mesmerizing sleep along our part of the creek at the Redwater Revival Campground.
