We are currently in the process of redesigning the main part of the campground and bringing all of our amenities back. As of the spring of 2026 our full-service cabins and camping cabins are available to rent.
We are located along 1600 ft of the North Toe River. Buck Hill Campground is the perfect place for families to relax and play! The campground features 150 acres including a 1.5 mile hike to the top of Buck Hill Mountain with amazing views! The river is stocked with trout for fisherman and is also the perfect place to enjoy lazy rides in river tubes.

It was absolutely beautiful! Very secluded, very steep driveway but I literally drove my Toyota Camry up and down with no problem, the fear just came from within. Lol The host was very pleasant to speak with and always immediately responded back to me within minutes. I recommend this spot for seclusion, animals, creekside, romantic get away!!! It was perfect! Also you will get your exercise in going up and down the stairs but Lord did I need it!!! Lol 😆 we WILL be back

absolutely wonderful place to wind down and enjoy nature. the cabin was the perfect size, spacious, warm and stocked with everything you’d need. the property was gorgeous, the trails right on site were a great introduction to the area before hitting Stone Mountain. both Marsha and Greg were welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for a cozy trip in the mountains.

We loved staying at the sight. Enjoyed the privacy and the view, and the hot tub. This was in spite of Mother Nature giving us rain for 3 days. Kevin went out of his way to provide us with dry wood; we just couldn't use it. The facility was clean, great condition. It was high-end and we plan to return at another time. Thanks!

Such lovely hosts and the views from their property will set your soul at rest. Everything from the tall trees that embrace the cabin to the beautiful songs of nature.
Unfortunately the forecast had my husband and I in house slippers and napping during the entirety of our visit but it was exactly what we needed. The first morning we lost power but Greg was so kind to stop by and offer to pick us up some breakfast as he made his errands and Marsha kept us updated on things until the power was back on.
The cabin was so clean with a relief to us as we don’t wear shoes inside and all of the linens, towels, throws etc were all perfectly clean as well. All the amenities were well provided and well thought out.
This is the coziest place I’ve stayed through HipCamp and we can’t wait to come back to explore more of the area before snowfall.

The stay was amazing! The cabin was the perfect size for us and the dogs! The weather was absolutely beautiful which allows us to go hiking at some nearby trails. The cabin was equipped with anything we could have needed and more. We loved the hot tub and fire pit and were able to see the stars from each spot.
Definitely will be booking a stay in the Fall.
Kevin the host was super nice and accommodating, got to chat with him on our last day before we left. Looking forward to our next stay!!

Kevin was a fantastic host, super responsive & gave us perfect details of everything! Very quick to reply. The property is great, with many places to hike. The cabin kept us warm & toasty. The only thing I would recommend is the tv mount be adjustable, it’s not a great angle to watch from the couch. But hey, you don’t go to sit & watch the TV! Beautiful views, would recommend to everyone, especially great for dogs that like to hike with their families!

The cabin was a perfect getaway weekend for my husband and I (and our dog). It was 20 degrees outside the nights we stayed, but the cabin was warm and cozy with everything we needed. We loved hiking up to the tower and having a campfire at night. The hot tub was the best part! Stone Mountain Park is a short drive away and is one of the best parks in N.C. highly recommend!!
