During or right after a NorthEast Tropical Storm or Severe weather the power can go out.

Weekend Trip to The New Weis Center
The staff (especially Jon!) was so helpful and accommodating. They offered heaters and let us pick a different cabin to have more spaceto ourselves. I got to relive my boyscout days. Lovely stay in a lovely area.

2 nights at Wurtsboro Ridge Retreat
This cabin was exactly what my partner and I were looking for for a quiet two-day retreat that felt outdoorsy without all the work of true camping. Space heaters and a woodstove kept it fairly cozy for cold November nights, and there was a ton of wood available for the outdoor firepit. We enjoyed exploring the collection of board games and CDs inside, plus outdoor badminton and frisbee under the lights. Beautiful clear stargazing, and easy driving distance to some great hikes.

2 nights at Wurtsboro Ridge Retreat
This was exactly what I was looking for. It was quiet and relaxing, but there was a cool town nearby to explore if I want to see other people. There were tons of games, so you would never need to feel bored, but also a TV just in case as well. The ability to just pick fresh herbs from outside always makes me feel great.
I really felt like a friend was welcoming me into their cool house.

Weekend Trip to Wurtsboro Ridge Retreat
Victor’s cabin/property is beautiful - we had a great time. He provides so many great recommendations and the cabin is stocked with games, movies, etc. The local area is fun to explore as well. We highly recommend!
