Robinia in Glenwood Heights

Robinia in Glenwood Heights is a working homestead located on 24 acres of mostly forested land. The predominant species in the mixed hardwood forests are Robinia Pseudoacacia (Black locust) and Black Walnut. There are places on the land and a short walk away along DuBois and Glenwood Heights Roads where there are wonderful views of Cayuga Lake. It is less than a mile walk or ride to the Black Diamond Trail, a hiking and biking trail that extends four+ miles North to Taughannock Falls State Park and four+ miles South to Cass Park, the Ithaca Children's Garden, and the City of Ithaca Municipal Pool. And all of downtown Ithaca. Hundreds of adjacent (although not accessible) acres are wildlife preserves, abandoned orchards, and a working honey bee and bison farm. Bathroom and hot showers available in the house, included in price, indoor kitchen and an on-site enclosed porch space for rainy days available for separate fee. Gardening, produce and flower-picking can be arranged on-site in season. Within biking distance of Finger Lakes National Forest in Hector. Located half-way between Ithaca and Trumansburg, down a long driveway. Amazingly quiet and private.

Head down the mowed path through the locust and walnut woods to reach the clearing in the woods site. We have a wagon to haul your stuff!

'Hearts Desire' is our name for the camping sight of your choice on our organic dairy farm known as Bundy Creek Farm.  Our family has been farming this land since the depression era when our ancestors moved east from California during a drought and were enamoured with our green rolling hills and abundant water resources. In all, this land is the backdrop of the story of five generations of the Murray family.  Through good times and bad, our dairy cows have been the backbone of the farm, grazing on the mostly hillside pastures.  Forages and grains are grown in the valley and hilltops, all surrounded by hardwood forests or wooded swampland; all together encompassing 775 acres of land.  Maple syrup is also often made from our top of the hill sugarbush.  And yes.....a river runs through it.....or actually several creeks....Learn more about this land:Nestled among the rolling hills that are the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, our organic dairy farm is the backdrop for this camping experience.  Tell us what is your 'hearts desire" and we will accommodate you as best as we can on our 800 acres which encompasses hundreds of acres of woodland, pasture and crop land, creeks and a 80 acre navigable swamp (seasonally).  Wildlife abounds with deer, coyotes, turkey, fox, geese, ducks, small mammals and an occasional eagle.  Hike, bicycle, kayak or just chill in the beautiful surroundings.  We are also two miles from the finger lakes trail.  Currently available for tenting only

Camp Earth Connection

Camp Earth Connection is located in the town of Dryden, NY just 12 miles from Ithaca, NY.  Camp Earth Connection offers a relaxing stay with a variety of camping options including Log Cabins, Rustic Cabins, AdirondackLean-To's and Tent-Sites.  Each site has privacy, picnic tables and grills or fire pits.  Camp Earth Connection is an alcohol and drug free facility, offering guests the opportunity to connect with nature and each other in a serene and beautiful natural setting.   The Hammond Hill trail system, which offers hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing connects to the 950 mileFinger Lakes Trail system.  Wildlife is abundant in the area. It is common to hear the Coyotes and Owls throughout the day.  In addition,Mink, Fishers, Bald Eagles, Turkey Buzzards, Porcupines, Raccoons, Skunks, Wild Turkeys, Ravens, Grouse, Red and Grey Fox and an occasional Black Bear are some of the inhabitants of the local forest.

Guests can choose to have some peaceful alone time or be more engaged in our small community during our community campfires, campfire pancake breakfasts or workshops.  Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, Camp Earth Connection offers a variety of activities and workshops such as:

-Saturday Morning Campfire Pancake Breakfast between Memorial Day and Labor Day

-Saturday Evening Community Campfire (when scheduled with guests)

Camp Earth Connection values Diversity, Acceptance and Community.  It is more than just a campground, it is an experience that can be life-changing.  Guests enjoy making meaningful connections with hosts, guests, family & friends.  In addition they experience the beauty and healing that is provided by this sacred natural environment. Rashid Fields Farm

This is a family farm on 48 acres, with access to hiking the snow mobile trails that run over a couple of hundred miles. We have horses and alpacas to pet and visit, a few sheep and chickens, and a couple of Scottish Highland Cows. Close drive to swimming, hiking, shopping and museums. Away from the city, cozy and country. Come out and visit! Learn more about this land:This is a family farm on 48 acres, with access to hiking the snow mobile trails that run over a couple of hundred miles. We have horses, sheep and cows to pet and visit, a few ducks and chickens, and a rabbits. Parking is at the house, walk in to campsite. If you need help, we will gladly load up the tractor and escort you to the sites.Swimming at a state park/lake is a 5 mile drive, and there are other hiking trails within about a 20 minute drive. You can pitch a tent of your own, or borrow one of ours here by the house, or further out by the creek. Each campsite has a fire pit for your use.Restroom is available just inside the house if needed, and potable water is available via pump or hose outside the house or at the barn. We have a couple of dogs on sight, and we like to visit with folks - let us know if you want to socialize or not and we'll respect that. Your dogs are welcome, but please keep them leashed. Chickens like to run away, and dogs like to chase them. If you are traveling with horses, please contact us! We can provide turn out or possible stalls for you, if your shots are current (proof required). *fees apply depending on requirements.

Come visit Caballine Equine, a place to combine camping and equines. We are a semi private equine facility, located in the heart of central NY. Take in stunning views while trail riding throughout our trails & state land. Stalls available for your beloved equines. 
We provide 12x12 stalls, deep bedding, turnout areas, self care or full care for your horse well you are here. We feed organic hay only,1st or 2nd cutting, we prefer you provide your own grain during your stay. Fresh water is provided at all times, tacking and grooming service available, as well as many other extras!! 
Now for your accommodations: we have a private cabin, located on the property. Wood stove for heat & cooking(wood provided) cabin is very spacious and can comfortably sleep up to 8, more if you are comfortable with doing so. Cabin has a very spacious downstairs, couches, dining table, cupboards and counter, there is a full upstairs with a drop down ladder ,that  is the sleeping quarters.(please bring your own cots/air mattresses/sleeping bags/pillows and so forth).
Camping here is semi primitive, there is an outhouse, complete with a  light! You have the choice of using lanterns or we will set up the power inverter for you!! (With the power inverter you can watch DVDs,& movies, as well as have electric lights throughout the cabin. 
You can either hike to the cabin, or we have transportation for you and your equipment. 
Campfire area, and peace and quiet!! The serenity of the area is wonderful, it is truly a place where you can get away from it all. We have miles of marked trails on the property, as well as access to miles and miles of state land, you can choose to trail ride with a guide or by yourself(we have maps) if there is a specific area you would like to ride at,we have equine transportation available as well!! 
Please bring your own food water, and anything you will need! We have the horses covered. Camping your way with your beloved equine partner. We offer custom accommodations as well!!
