19mi from Owego · 1 site · Tent · Van Etten, NYOur land is nestled in a quiet, hillside forest. Meandering paths connect various spaces - flowering gardens, sunny meadows, rocky fern slopes and meditation circles. Lovely places for solitude and enjoyment. Our intention is to offer an experience of peaceful refuge… A rustic retreat in nature.
Below our land is a seasonal dirt road. You can walk into the forest - visiting a stream and beaver pond. If you walk up on our rural road, to the open fields, you may see goldfinches, bluebirds, bobolinks, American kestrels and various other birds. If you are a birder, bring your binoculars.
Some of the other wildlife you may see or hear include…
Red squirrels, gray squirrels, chipmunks, raccoons, opossum, rabbits, deer, coyotes, wild turkey, hawks, owls and great blue heron.
Activities on or near our land include... walking, hiking, biking, meditation, nature photography and guided retreats.
