Wood Spring is a private members only rustic camping club. Hipcampers have access to all 52 acres including our pond, meadow, Little Buffalo Creek, and our hiking trails.
You’ll get a gate combination after confirming your stay. Enter through the gate on our one lane road, cross the shallow creek and end at our large open meadow. If the creek is ever too high to cross, park in the grassy area and walk across foot bridge.

Come and enjoy WNY winter sports!! We are ideally located for skiing, tubing and boarding directly between Peek N Peek (43 miles) or Holiday Valley (40 miles). There are snowmobile trail heads 5 miles from our location. Be in the country yet just 5 minutes from 4 local wineries and 10 minutes from dining/shopping. We have kept the farm house feel with plenty of room for a family. This is a single occupancy listing. Your party will be the only guests. We do have a separate living space in our barn so only parking is shared. Originally 100 acres was purchased by the Deering family back in the 1800's from the Holland Land company. Then sometime near 1900 the farm was split between two brothers, each receiving 50 acres. The home was originally built in 1903 and is currently updated and remodeled for today’s codes and standards. 47 acres of accessible woods and pasture remain for hiking and at the top of the property a breath-taking view across Lake Erie into Ontario Canada.

Great location for winter sports just 20 minutes from the newly renovated and reopened Cockaigne ski resort, and it’s just miles from access to marked snow mobile trails. Mud room makes it easy to shed and store boots and jackets. Spring time activities includes “March maple syrup madness” and exploring the Amish communities of Chautauqua county. For summertime it is just minutes to the Lake Erie shoreline and Dunkirk harbor for aquatic activities. In the Fall you cannot beat the canopy of colors. There are 4 wonderful wineries within 5 miles of your door, bring a bottle home and enjoy it by an outdoor campfire, or just sit on the patio and look up at the night sky. In the morning you can make your coffee by the cup, or carafe then sit on the patio and watch the sunrise. Major department and food stores are just minutes away. The hosts were so wonderful to chat with and very welcoming! The campground was amazing, from the expansive sites complete with water and power hookups (if needed) to the many various glamping sites. It is an eclectic mix of fun for everyone! The little store in the trolly was super cute. This place has it all. I would definitely recommend this place for family gatherings or the solo adventurer.

Our group had the best time at this campground. Absolutely no complaints! The hosts were friendly. The sites were very spacious and flat, great for tents or RVs! This would be a great spot for newer campers with the extra accommodations, games, and kitchen amenities. Bathrooms, outhouse, and showers were very clean. Great spot for birdwatching and stargazing as well. We have stayed at many Hipcamps and State Parks but this was our favorite so far. We will be coming back next year!

Gorgeous spot! So peaceful and Neil was super helpful. They had wood and ice for sale. The bathrooms were clean. There were fire pits and picnic tables, and our choice of where to make camp. Just far enough from it all to relax but close enough to spend a fun day at Niagara Falls.

Excellent creekside camping. Dog friendly with a private fenced in dog park that is close to an acre in size. We were here early in the week with very few campers. Bathrooms are set up with two stalls and two showers: separate mens and women's, plus 2 outhouse. Shared kitchen space was nice for easy clean up. Highly recommend

Came here on a couple summer weeknights while visiting the Seneca nation and allegheny state park, and we were the only campers. Dolly welcomed us and her son showed us around the place, but for the most part we were there alone. The pavilion was a great place to convene and offered helpful living amenities, while our camp spot was next to the horse field, offering beautiful views. Would love to come back.

The property and facilities are very clean. The camping spaces are too close together for my style of camping. There is also a road nearby that was a bit noisy. It is a very cool set up with a communal area to hangout, and fully set up kitchen! It has many options for camping, with cool rentals. It also has the best dog area I have seen. The creek is lovely. I loved it, but it wasn't crowded when I was there. I am more of a primitive camper, so it wasn't my style.
