New Earth Homestead

This land is just off the "Old Taos Highway" which used to be a travel route for the Conquistadors who mined gold out of the nearby Sangre de Cristo Mountains. They would sometimes bury their gold along the way as to avoid being robbed. Located in the shadow of Taos Mountain, this place is mystical. After leaving my corporate job, I've set up a homestead here, all built by my mom and I. The campsite is adjacent to our homestead, and it embodies all of the beauty and excitement that the West Mesa offers.

Taos Goji Farm & Eco Lodge

Taos Goji Ecolodge, is an historic property with ten renovated cabins and a 4-acre goji berry farm located on 40 acres of pristine land in San Cristobal, New Mexico. The cabins were built at the beginning of last century, originally for sheep herders. Both Alduous Huxley and D.H. Lawrence lived and wrote in this cabins, and later Elizabeth Kubler Ross and Ram Dass stayed here.

Camping site #2. Once in bloom, you will be sleeping under a handful of apple trees!

Ulhr Ranch

For many years after a long winter of making snow and grooming, I always enjoyed returning to this piece of heaven outside of Taos. Through the years, friends and co-workers came to visit and enjoy the land and named it Ulhr (god of snow) Ranch. The house is being built with 1880s reclaimed lumber from the Gold Pan Dance Hall in Eagle Nest NM. We aim to be kind to the land and try to reuse any time we can.Learn more about this land:Come stay awhile at the Ulhr Ranch. High Desert Vistas gives your ears a rest from the noise of the city. Just a few hundred feet from BLM and Carson national forest and a beautiful hike up to Three Peaks.  Only three miles away from the Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument and the Rio Grande river with gold medal fishing, rafting and swimming. Three ski resorts just a short drive from the ranch. No matter the season, there is something to do at the ranch.

La Luz Vintage Campers

Three years ago, two lonely campers sat abandoned in the sagebrush of Northern New Mexico. While they enjoyed spectacular mountain and mesa views, they longed to be inhabited by travelers once again. Thankfully for these vintage beauties - and for me - I stumbled upon them during my own summer wanderings, and the rest is history. Set just 10 minutes from town, this amazingly well-designed 1964 Barth travel trailer features the comforts and amenities of home in a small, stylish package. The many windows offer views of mountains and big sky, and the large fenced yard, comfy outdoor chairs, and vintage outdoor fireplace offers even more living space! 

Taos night skies make campers (of the human and trailer variety) feel like a very small piece of a very big place.

The camper shares a yard with two other vintage travel trailers - I live full time in my Spartan trailer on the property and the other trailer is also a guest rental.

This little camp toilet was recently replaced with a real RV toilet that is hooked up to septic - ahhhh, the comforts of home!

During times when it is safe and legal, feel free to enjoy a cozy fire in the midcentury fireplace. Firewood available on site!
