Detailed directions to their place (don't trust Google maps, trust the directions they give), friendly greeting and tour of the space- they have a composting toilet, music studio, and are working on a shower space. Flat camping spots for tent camping- very minimal light made the stars stand out which was awesome to see, even with the fuller moon the milky way was visible.

Cassidy and Chase are creating a wonderful Travelers Oasis. During a cross country adventure I needed to leave my husband and dogs to take care of family business. After reading reviews and looking at the photos we thought this might be a comfortable place for my husband to hang for a week until I could return and we’d co time on with the trip. It was all we had hoped for. A rural suburb not far from town, a fenced yard with several innovative gardens, a outside shower and raining into a large galvanized tub, a composting toilet that works, a best of all a hot home made breakfast. He had a great time, and I had one night. To see why. Highly recommend for people who can back up there camper Vann an extended distance. There is not room to turn around and we were pre-warned by the host.

Wonderful views and very quiet. David was a great host and helped us out when we had a couple of issues. We work from the road and Starlink worked perfectly. T-Mobile Home Internet Away not so much. AT&T cellular was slow, but solid. Would stay again!

This was a great place to stop over for a couple of nights. It's a no nonsense pad to park your van/small RV but has water, a table (2 actually), and a grill. I was able to use the laundry and drying line too which was awesome! The site gets pretty warm early in the day if you don't have an awning (I was there in late June), but by late afternoon it's mostly shaded and really pleasant. Its pretty close (1/2 mile) to an amazing multi-use path where you can bike, run or walk for up to 35 miles! Lots of people were out on it. Also there's a taco truck about 2 blocks away that's amazing. All in all, great places if you're looking for simplicity, but it was nice to have a safe space to camp for a couple of nights.

Manny and his family are very welcoming and their space is wonderful. Nice level parking with electric and water available! Nice quiet neighborhood. We will definitely return! Highly recommended!

Courtney’s spot was a great spot! We were looking for a safe place to car camp after a concert at Isleta. It was a 10 minute drive to the venue and located near tons of breakfast places. It was clean and well maintained, secured and beautiful! Courtney worked with us for our super late arrival and made everything super easy. Would definitely stay again next time we’re in ABQ!

The hosts were so patient with me while my GPS went wonky. It was late at night but they kept in touch with me until we made it there safely. They came to introduce themselves and made sure we were good. My dogs loved walking/exploring the property and Ivy offered us the shaded area which really helped us cool down. If we pass through the area again, we'd definitely stay again. If you come in the summer, you will need to bring shade.

The Desert Getaway… was just that ! Super private and submerged in the desert while also being very close to everything .. super convenient affordable and just an all around great spot to chill for a night or two.

Our group tent camped at Darkmoon and really enjoyed ourselves. The desert is peaceful, stars and sunsets are spectacular. Roan and Sara were glad to show us how their tiny houses and domes were built and gave us a tour. We ended up playing campfire games with Roan and Sara all evening. So fun! This stop was at the end of a 4-day New Mexico trip and several in our group said it was their favorite part, mostly because of how fun the hosts were.
Tips:
Don't let the thought of composting toilets scare you. These were clean and well-maintained.
Bring a track identification book. The animal tracking here was fascinating.
Bring a table if you are tent camping. The tent sites don't have tables.
There is a hidden flamingo on the property. See if you can find it!

You’ll never sleep better; but if you do stir at night, you’ll be greeted by every constellation in the cosmos! Arrive early enough to relax and take in the beauty of the expanse. Oh, and bring some stories and snacks to share with Roan and Ivy as the sun sets!
