We loved staying at the Silo! It served as a great base camp for our adventures throughout the weekend. It’s a short drive from Santa Fe and Taos and surrounded by a ton of outdoor recreation areas. The space itself had everything we needed - fully stocked kitchen, bathroom with a shower, and a comfortable bed. It’s also secluded and offers great solitude surrounded by nature. We briefly crossed paths with Pat who was very friendly and welcoming. We would happily stay again and suggest this stay to everyone!

Just wonderful. Highly recommended for those who explore creative living spaces. The Silo is super comfortable and well taken care of. The land, THE LAND is magical and Pat is a dear person and knows how to run a HipCamp.

Very cute little place. Nice private location, but easy to find. Pat is very kind. There were a few things in the Silo that didn't work upon arrival. Pat brought in the maintenance man, but was unable to fix them during our stay. Thanks for putting in the effort.
The bed is very firm but we found it very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen and linens situation. Porches are really nice for enjoying the views. We would definitely stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Casa de KAMA (The Silo)
Pat was responsive to all our questions before and during our stay, and we appreciated her flexibility. Our concern about a gas smell turned out to be an unlit pilot light on the stove, and that was easily remedied. We also wondered if a silo would be drafty--but it wasn't. We were there in early October, and the view of the surrounding Chama River Valley was beautiful. We loved the Silo and would stay there again!

I took my 8 year old grandson (at his request) to visit my birthplace of NM and show him things I had told him about from my own childhood. I had only 4 real days to be able to give him a glimpse, but it was enough for him to ask to return again. One of the first questions he asked was what "enchanted" meant when he kept reading it on signs. Words are not useful when trying to paint what that means, but after 2 full days at Casa Kama, he said "now I get it." We chose the silo because it looked remote and yet not intimidating for a first kid visit. What transpired for both of us was a punctuation of the beauty and quiet grandeur of not only New Mexico's land, but the warmth of the people who reside in respect to the earth and one another. Sometimes it is "risky" to book on line, but in this case, it was truly magical. There are enough photos on the website to show what this is physically, but what I can say is that there is a deeper, more soulful elegance and comfort to sitting in the morning listening to the birds, and ending the day with the sky illuminated with stars and meteor shows (it was Perseid time), and hearing distant coyotes in the nightime. Pat is a gracious and generous host who met us as we arrived and advised us of the last hour of the farm market in Abiquiu which we promptly went to find. Again, the beauty of the people, the bounty from the farms and skilled hands was so refreshing. This is a gift for one to be able to visit here.

super cute living space and love being close to nature and the stars! we got to see hummingbirds, lizards, and birds. the a/c was awesome! the living space was nice and welcoming. the random doggos running around were cute to watch. they looked like adventurers lol

Weekend Trip to Casa de KAMA (The Silo)
This was such a cool and unique stay! It was such a perfect place to reconnect to the land and getaway from the city. My boyfriend and I stayed here and it was such a great place to watch the sunset, take in the views of the land, cook dinner together, and explore what Abiquiu has to offer. This Silo was not only really cool but it also came with everything you needed to make this trip memorable. I would definitely come here again!

A thoughtfully designed, comfortable space with everything you need. Extremely comfy bed, lovely native plant landscaping, stocked kitchen, fabulous shower, expansive views and fresh breezes, night skies and coyote calls, proximity to excellent pizza. Thanks, Pat, for making such great use of the place and space!
Couldn't ask for base camp to romp around the area - of course Ghost Ranch is nearby but the Casa is also spitting distance to Plaza Blanca, Poshuouinge, the amphitheater, the reservoir, the arch, sport climbing, Carson access...

My friend and I loved staying at Pat’s silo! It was a perfect place to retreat in the rain - so unique and comfortable and cozy. We had everything we needed - comfy beds, a terrific bathroom and a well supplied kitchen - all in a gorgeous setting! I definitely want to come back!!!! Highly recommended!

The stars at night were what shined brightest about this location for me and my wife. The surroundings were great for walking our dogs and going for quick hikes. We spent some time at Ojo Caliente mineral spring and spa which was amazing. Lastly the silo was a perfect home away from home. It offers everything you may need plus more. We hope to return soon and we would highly recommend a trip to visit here.
