We do offer horse back rides, cattle penning, cattle drives and shooting at our shooting range. You have to call reservations to book any of these activities.

The peaks are composed mainly of volcanic tuff, and the deep erosion of the rocks has created distinct, sharp summits. You're also rewarded for your efforts to get here by lush grasslands, Joshua tree forests, mountain vistas, and abundant wildlife. The rugged Mojave Desert is home to mountain lions, bighorn sheep, golden eagles, coyotes, and bobcats.

Jeffry’s Farm was a very convenient location for our needs. It is under a flight path, but we found this not to be a problem. Evenings were fairly peaceful and we actually enjoyed watching the planes come in during the day. Parking area was fairly flat and easy to get in and out of. We would stay here again if in the area.

It was wonderful camping. close enough to civilization that I didn't have to worry if I forgot something, but far enough away that it was quiet all weekend - unless you don't like the sound of coyotes singing, and dark enough to sit out, watch the sunset, and enjoy a nice pour of Weller C.Y.P.B.. My trailer is 22 feet, so I would pull in, and still unhook, giving me a great view of the mountains.
Some weekends, I just need to get away from the house and all the stuff, and I will certainly look for this spot.

Exactly as described - I didn’t get to meet the camel cause I was there so briefly (10p-6a for one night) BUT I admired both horses and alpacas! Would def stay again - without traffic it’s less than 10 mins from the airport. (Midday it would prob be like 16-17 min)

What an incredible experience! My husband, fur baby, and I had such a fun time visiting all the animals on the property❤️ Elvis the donkey was definitely a highlight of the trip. Like a giant puppy!🥰 The random visits all through the day and night by the friendly farm dogs and a nice hot outdoor shower under the beautiful stars were the cherry on top. 10/10 experience

Weekend Trip to Mojave Desert Ranch
The Ac is perfect and hits as soon as you walk in, the bed area was warm during the day but with the fan on and the cooling down on the evening it was comfy at night as well. We were pleasantly surprised to see a toilet and a shower since we hadn't seen them in the pics.
It's a dreamy tiny home with everything you could need. Even some board games and checkers. Loved the cute little radio which I enjoyed while cleaning the pots and pans. We made breakfast in the firepit and smores at night. The night sky was clear that you could see the milky way! We fell in love with Sandy Valley Ranch a second time. So serene and beautiful. The dogs are so well behaved and we love all the animals. Glad to celebrate a birthday there and already looking into staying again.

Enjoyable site. It's close enough to the casinos to enjoy Vegas (if that's your thing), but far enough away that you can feel isolated. The land is flat, and packed earth, so it's great to set up on. You're close enough to shopping, groceries and dining, but away enough to set up and make your own meals. I did not get a chance to meet the host (I was hurried - visiting with a friend who had emergency surgery), but it was quiet.
MAKE SURE YOUR BOONDOCKING GAME IS GOOD, especially in the summer (I just made it through with my solar battery - I should have brought the full set). If you have battery generators, you can charge up free at the Silverton nearby (top level of the parking structure has outlets on some of the light poles), so you can plug in and shop, dine, or gamble.
There are horses, alpacas, and a camel to see, and because there was always a breeze, it doesn't have that horse farm smell, which I like.
Overall, it's a lovely place to park for a night or two. Next time, I'll bring friends.

1 night at Sandy Valley Ranch
This was such a lovely stay! The airstream was so cute and well set up, have everything you could need! Nice to have the option of getting wifi and a shower at the ranch house. Hope I can stay again sometime!

Weekend Trip to Sandy Valley Ranch
We enjoyed our stay and we can't wait to go back! It was so peaceful and it was so nice to get away from the city. Loved being able to walk around and see all the ranch animals! It was the perfect getaway. The camper is charming and cozy. It got a little warm during the day but it wasn't unbearable. They have a mini swamp fan. There are plugins for a fan if you wanted to bring one. We cooked breakfast in the morning and made smores in the campfire at night. We brought our portable hammock/ w stand to star gaze. They do have meals and other activities available. We plan to do it all next time and hopefully stay a bit longer. We stayed one night and even though it was short I would do it again! We will keep an eye on events so so we can drive down and enjoy from time time to time.

Nice, private spot — close to town but suburban/rural in setting. There’s horses in view & it’s a great spot to boondock. I was only reserving the spot to do some cleaning/chores inside my van, so I didn’t stay the night — but I bet the sunset was beautiful.

Where to go
Lake Mead National Recreation Area
Lake Mead National Recreation Area offers 1.5 million acres of mountains, canyons and two lakes, Lake Mohave and Lake Mead. Lake Mohave and Cottonwood Cove is the closest to Laughlin and offers 200 miles of shoreline, and hundreds of secluded coves, along with hiking and biking trails. More than a dozen campgrounds offer some 900 tents and RV sites, along with vehicle, horseback, shoreline, and backcountry camping options.
California and Mojave National Preserve
Just over the California border, north of Needles, the mountains and deserts of Dead Mountains Wilderness offer options for primitive camping, hiking, horseback riding, rock hounding, and hunting. Further east, the Mojave National Preserve offers a vast open land with dramatic terrain of sand dunes, canyons, mountains, and Joshua tree forests, along with three developed campgrounds and plenty of backcountry for dispersed camping.
Arizona
RV parks can be found across the Colorado River on the Arizona side at Bullhead City. Campgrounds can also be found along Lake Mohave at Katherine Landing. At Moabi Regional Park, along the Colorado River at the California and Arizona state line, dispersed and developed campsites are available, along with fishing, hiking, boating, and off-roading. Further south, camping can be found at Lake Havasu State Park, near Lake Havasu City.
When to go
Searchlight’s location in the desert of southern Nevada means hot summers with soaring temperatures, making outdoor activities other than water play a bit dangerous. Spring and fall offer the best weather for outdoor recreation, including camping. The best time for largemouth bass is between March and June, striped bass is between April and November, and rainbow trout is between November and March.
