4 tent/small camper sites nestled in a wooded yard at the South East corner of the charming little town of Hungry Horse. It’s about a 10-15 minute drive from Glacier National Park. You’ll be nestled into the canyon that leads directly to the park. Feel cozy and comfortable in our scenic little side yard. Sites are small but allow plenty of space for smaller campers, vehicles, tents and all sites include a picnic table and access to a water hydrant! We do allow pets as well! An ideal location for those looking to explore all the Flathead Valley has to offer.
The 1.25 acre yard is on the end of a normally quiet street. The spots are plenty shady and cool given all of the tree coverage in the yard. Spots are all fairly flat and the perfect sizes for a group of tents or a small camper and some vehicles. Between sites 2 and 3 are hammocks set up for guests to use. There is a playground near by across the street at the old school for kids to enjoy.
***At this time, THERE ARE NO TOILETS so campers must be self contained. Due to previous reviews, we are trying to make this even more clear. We expect to have a port-a-potty set up by summer 2026. We do now have hydrants for clean, potable water!!! We are working on getting more amenities to these sites in the near future.
We do allow pets at this time but they must be leashed and looked after responsibly. There are other pets at this property as well as at surrounding neighbor's homes so please exercise caution and make sure pets are well behaved and polite guests. Thank you!

We loved our stay here! Huge driveway / lot so it is very easy to navigate. Easy to get hooked up. Owner is lovely & has a large fenced in area right next to the rv spots that our pups enjoyed running around in. 15 mins to glacier entrance / going to the sun road (must see). Would stay again. This campsite is just a short drive to the park - its best feature in my opinion. The trees give you plenty of shade during the day, which helps with the heat. The ground is covered in soft grass, making it more comfortable to sleep in a tent. Only drawback is there’s no on-site facilities.

We had a wonderful week stay at Bullwinkle RV Site 1. It's an ideal location to serve as a basecamp to explore in and around Glacier National Park. The site and property is very well maintained. Dan’s property is very nice! Plenty of room for our large 5th wheel. Very nice fenced yard for our dog to run around in. The highlight is how close you are to Glacier NP, Hungry Horse Dam and Hiking Trails.

This is the best hip camp site I’ve been to. Dan was extremely helpful and had a world of knowledge about the area and the best way to take advantage of it. His site was very well maintained and easy to get into and out of when your trip was over. The rig I took there was a 40’ Toy Hauler Fith Wheel trailer and a 34’ bumper pull trailer. Lots of room.

Beautiful little spot just off the highway. Nice and close to glacier National Park, and a quick drive to Whitefish/Kalispell. The owners were so kind and the spot is great for exploring. Although there’s no washrooms on the premises, the gas station is close by. Couple cute coffee shops and baked goods right around the corner. We had 6 of us, and the three tents and vehicles had plenty of space in just the one site. We will definitely come stay again
