This forest supplied timber to build railroads and homes for families in the western migration. Our family is the current steward of this forest and it is our wish to respectfully share its beauty and observe its wildlife with your family and friends! Our Forest is surrounded by Kaniksu National Forest which is managed by the United States Forest Service (USFS) as part of the Idaho Panhandle. National Forest.. The Moyie River ( say Moy-yay) has headwaters at Moyie Lake in British Columbia and feeds into the Kootenai River (say Koo-ten-e) just East of Bonners Ferry. The Moyie River is 95 miles long. The area is private, so there is no view of the neighbors. You’ll have a broken view of the Host’s Cabin. Camp is situated on 15.4 acres of Certified Family Forest. If you hear the rumble of a train at night, it's because the Union Pacific passes along the opposite edge of the property from the campsites. There is no mobile phone service at the campsite . There is WiFi at the campsite shelter. We strongly suggest you activate the “Cell over WiFi “ function on your smartphone BEFORE you arrive/lose cell signal so you can access Emergency 911 Services. There is a fire pit (firewood provided), covered shelter, a USFS-style charcoal grill, (bring charcoal and starter), picnic table, benches, bear-proof food storage box and TEMPORARY trash bin. Please plan to "pack-out" all of your trash and recyclables. There are a lot of deer roaming the property, along with many birds and other wildlife . OUR NIGHTLY CHARGE Includes all the firewood you need and a 10% Hipcamp Service Fee. It does not include 6% Idaho Sales Tax and 2% Idaho Convention and Travel Tax. Be Bear Aware : From April 1 - November 1 all food, beverages and trash must never be left unattended and, all of the same, be stored properly. Our winter visit to the Far North was excellent. The cabin was a perfect place to spend time together. We loved the selection of books available to visitors during our stay. It was great to have kitchen equipment and to use it easily. The fireplace kept us nice and cozy on snowy, cold days outside. The Views are stunning, with no one around but our family. It was ‘dry’ camping because of the late season, but that did not stop us from having quality time together. I love that Paul provides firewood. He was great at communication and make us so welcome at his property.

We had a really fun time staying in the cabin! It was very cute and had everything we needed. The fire pit / covered picnic table / bench swing area provided a beautiful view of the river and surrounding mountains. My husband was very happy with the trout he caught and the kiddos had a lot of fun playing in the river. Definitely recommend!

Paul has an amazing get away in the perfect location. It's right off the highway, so it has easy access. It is incredibly secluded and shows incredible thought into every aspect. The cabin is thoughtfully equipped with all the things that makes for a relaxing stay. He is fantastic with communication, too. Thanks for a great stay!

This is a beautiful private campsite. We loved the views and sound of the rushing river. The hot shower was a bonus. (If camping here be prepared for mosquitoes.)

We absolutely loved this place. It was much nicer than we expected. The scenery was amazing. The set up and the new showers were really nice. We visited it while there was no one else there and all of the campground is separated from the cabin side. you feel really secluded there highly recommend this place and we will definitely go back again. The little store in good grief was nice and the people there were really nice. Some nice hikes are very close by all the communication was great with Paul. Thank you very much for sharing your space.

Our stay at Paul’s cabin was one of the best camping experiences we have had! The kids loved the playground and being right by the river. We were able to wade in and collect a few rocks. The river view is so beautiful. The table, swing, grill and fire pit is in the perfect location to enjoy the view. We made pocket stew! Everything needing to have a fun, safe, comfortable cabin camping experience was provided. Paul was away during our stay but was available for any questions via messaging. WIFI was spotty at the cabin but we wanted to unplug anyway. Updated shower house was relaxing after a long day. We definitely want to stay again and will highly recommend this place!

Wow. What a beautiful space. While we weren’t fortunate enough to get to meet Paul, we did get to enjoy a perfectly serene get away. The grounds are so quiet and gorgeous. The cabin was the perfect accommodation for my husband, our dog and I. Leaving feeling refreshed and relaxed after four days of low key nature living!

The cabin is very nice and the environment is beautiful. Paul was very informative and everything was as he described. The place is eay to find and the access road is fine for any vehicle. We were there late season the wood stove was awsome.
