We are a horse boarding ranch south of Livingston that caters to people traveling with horses or other people traveling and camping. We have an outdoor arena, indoor arena, a bathroom, a shower, barn stalls, barn stalls with runs and paddock areas for horses. Leashed dogs are welcome, but we ask that you clean up after your dog so another camper doesn't have the misfortune of stepping in it. We are located exactly 2 miles from the interstate south of the lovely town of Livingston. We will not allow large party gatherings for local concerts. I will give a forewarning that Livingston is a windy place, especially when storms are coming through. I try to help accommodate tents during these times by letting people set them up in the barn if needed. Please stay attention to checking the weather during your stay so I can try to hep accommodate.

Quiet, private place with views of the Crazy mountains and the Absaroka mountains south of Livingston that caters to overnight people camping with their horses. We are allowing people to stay without horses. There is plenty of room for larger rigs. Electricity may be available depending on availability and the area you chose to camp in. We are 2 miles exactly from the interstate south of Livingston and 50 miles from Yellowstone Park. There is a bathroom with a sink and toilet along with a separate shower for usage by guests. We have a playground open for use by our guests. There is a Keurig if you bring K cups to use, and also a microwave. Our place is close to shopping, restaurants, and fuel stations. We are also less than a half mile from the Yellowstone River. Horses can be boarded for $25 a night per horse.

Our home is located in Emigrant, Montana. We are approx. 34 miles from YNP and less than 10 minutes to the nearest Yellowstone River access. As the name implies, our campsite provides a convenient "basecamp" for exploring YNP or experiencing the Yellowstone River through Fly Fishing or water sports such as kayaking, white-water rafting, canoeing and or SUP. Our campsite provides the perfect retreat after hiking and experiencing Yellowstone. After spending the day doing whatever you please in Paradise Valley or the surrounding areas, come back to your campsite and relax in the hot tub and prepare dinner on the BBQ & amp; Star Gaze. In Emigrant, there is a bank and a post office as well as a bakery and a BBQ restaurant and The Old Saloon. Additionally, there is a small gas station, laundromat and a general store.
We offer 20Amp electrical-hook up. We do offer water hook up through a hose. The nearest dump station is 1/2 hour in either direction (Gardiner or Livingston). We have a variety of options that should suit just about anyone. We are near Yellowstone National Park as well as Bozeman, MT which offers all types of recreational opportunities e.g. hiking, fishing, climbing, skiing, cycling and running trails.
VanGoBoon is the perfect "Pull-in for the Night" as well as week-long stays! Most of our sites are SELF-CONTAINED. We have 4 sites that have electric and water hookups. (20,30,50amp)
The lawn area has horseshoes, frisbee golf, and corn toss. We mostly offer dry campsites for overnight stays for vans, tents or RVs . Most sites are on concrete slabs so they are level and the property has grass areas with trees as well.
FYI: Great site if you like trains! An important part of Montana’s commerce is transportation by rail so there will be highway and train noise. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to have noise-cancelation devices handy.

The ranch is located just outside of Livingston and offers beautiful open vistas of the Paradise Valley. The tan barn spot was big, flat and quiet and the owner offered us electricity, water, and a bathroom. All these were right by where we parked. All in all a great place to stay.

The directions are accurate but finding the pull off was a bit difficult. It is before the bridge; don’t cross the bridge it is behind you.

Well maintained campground with fantastic host and some of the swankiest camping showers and restrooms ive ever seen, seriously those ammenities were better than some hotels ive stayed at. 20 minutes from livingston and 45 minutes from yellowstone, hikes in the area. Had a wonderful time! Watch for deer when driving.

What a great spot!! After staying at the hot springs for two nights it was WONDERFUL to pull into Stacie’s spot! So quiet with room all around you. The views of both the Gallatin and Bridger mountains is to die for! I pulled up next to her rv (just parked there, no one in it), my 20’ 50 amp cord didn’t reach the outlet tho. She had a standard 120 I could have used but I had a 30 amp extension cord with.
I rode my bike just a mile to the local steak joint and had an amazing burger AND desert! Pizza place is there also. I’d go back in a flash!

I have such a great time at the V20 camp spot at Jammin Jackalope! I have stayed there several times (sometimes in a cabin) for concerts at Pine Creek Lodge. This is a relatively quiet spot after the show, more private than other spots. There is quite a bit of light coming from Pine Creek shining on this campsite which is probably good for security but might be a downside if you prefer complete darkness. Colter is super helpful and frequently goes out of his way to make sure your stay is optimal. Close to town, lots of river access in the area, hot springs, places to explore, etc. during the day before concert time!

A nice set up! Restroom was very clean and there's a solar shower as well. Located near the interstate and railroad which didn't bother me. After dark it quiets down. Dan the owner is a nice man who has made a great stop for travelers to feel at home. 5 stars.

The Ellison ranch is the epitome of hipcamping! Big ranch, lots of space and privacy. The dogs so enjoyed it!! They also loved when I would get in the river with them for fun :)

I've always enjoyed ranchers because I come from ranchers. Good people!
The sights around the area are spectacular not to mention the wildlife!! Do not miss Natural Bridge Falls. It isn't far away at all. The drive alone is spectacular!
I rode my bike for 13 miles from the ranch down a forest road and it was breath taking. I really enjoyed my time in Big Timber as well. I love small towns where people are polite, helpful and friendly.
If you have an rv, Big Timber Tire has an rv dump even after hours.

Where to go
Yellowstone River
The Yellowstone River flows right through town and offers excellent fishing and whitewater without straying far. Go south towards the park and places like Yankee Jim Canyon have wild rapids or go toward Big Timber where the river broadens but the fishing remains excellent.
Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone National Park is on the wish list for many Livingston visitors and it’s a short drive at roughly one hour to the park entrance. You can camp outside the park and day trip or use Livingston as a jumping off point for a longer journey through the park.
Paradise Valley
Livingston sits at the north end of the Paradise Valley which essentially includes everything between town and the park entrance. Gardiner, Emigrant, and Pray are all amazing small towns to visit and the valley itself is bordered by public lands with camping, hiking and biking trails.
Chico Hot Springs
After camping and exploring the great outdoors, take a trip to Chico Hot Springs, where natural springs have been developed into hot pools at a quaint resort. If camp food has you looking for a break, they also have an amazing restaurant.
When to go
If there’s one thing reliable in Livingston, it’s the wind. Winter and spring are especially wind prone, so campers gravitate toward summer and fall for more comfortable weather conditions, consistent fishing, and warmer temperatures for hiking and mountain biking. That said, there are plenty of mellow winter days, when exploring the valley and greater Yellowstone region can lead to increased wildlife sightings and unique experiences. Snowmobiles make winter exploring a complete rush—or you can opt for quieter methods of travel with snowshoes or skis.
