Across the gravel driveway you'll find a second campground that is tucked back in a secluded cottonwood grove, and further down the driveway, you'll find the 3rd campsite. The campgrounds are 5 minutes to the charming historic downtown of Livingston and the Yellowstone River, 20 minutes to Bozeman, 20 mins to Pine Creek Lodge and an hour to Yellowstone National Park. Dogs are welcome, as long as they are friendly to other dogs. Our dogs freely roam the property. **All sites share an outhouse located in the parking area by the trail to camp #2. It is only onsite from May 15 to Oct 15. #1: "Creekside Oasis" campsite has a picnic table, fire ring, a hammock, solar lighting, and a small portable charcoal grill. Although you can car camp at # 1, please note that the camper spot is just off the gravel driveway, and not across the creek where the tent site, picnic table and fire pit are located. #2: "Off the Beaten Path" campsite requires a short 1-2 minute walk on a tight, uneven path through the trees. It is a small campsite with a fire ring, 2 camp chairs and solar lighting. Do NOT rent this tent site if you need to be close to your car. This site is not on the creek. Creek access is down a trail to the left off the parking area. #3: "Not for the Faint of Heart" campsite is a 2-3 minute walk from the parking spot on an uneven, tight trail through the trees. It has a fire ring, two camp chairs, solar lighting, and a small portable grill. Do NOT rent this tent site unless you are ready to explore and do not need to be close to your car. Local attractions include Hot Springs, Hiking, Rafting, Biking, Dirt biking, 4-wheeling, Fly Fishing, ATVs, Caverns, National Parks, Ringing Rocks, and Mining Towns. 17 minutes S of I-90. We are an active farm, so do not expect the "Ritz" or any fancy gardens. We do have free-range poultry, so expect some animal droppings on the property. Experience the stars as you've never seen them before. Our views are unbeatable and your experience with us will be memorable. Bring your binoculars - you never know when you might get a glimpse of the majestic Montana wildlife! Meet the farm animals or watch for bald eagles and deer and even possibly meet our resident moose family. We are surrounded by National Forest and untamed rivers that make us the perfect location for your next adventure.

We stayed at campsite 1. Very lovely place with 2 relaxing hammocks. Big fireplace with some chairs around it and pretty string lights. Louis the dog came down and spent some quality time with us at campsite and was super chill.

What a great spot!! After staying at the hot springs for two nights it was WONDERFUL to pull into Stacie’s spot! So quiet with room all around you. The views of both the Gallatin and Bridger mountains is to die for! I pulled up next to her rv (just parked there, no one in it), my 20’ 50 amp cord didn’t reach the outlet tho. She had a standard 120 I could have used but I had a 30 amp extension cord with. I rode my bike just a mile to the local steak joint and had an amazing burger AND desert! Pizza place is there also. I’d go back in a flash!

1 night at The DET Place Hideaway

McKenzie was great. She was very quick to reply to questions and super accommodating. Our check in time changed a couple of times d/t unforeseen delays getting to Montana - but she was really easy to work with and understanding. The 5th wheel was great. Lots of space and well kept. Bedrooms were a nice surprise (bigger than appeared in the pics). Shower was hot and plenty large enough for me (6 ft and 245lbs) to clean up. Water and heat were included and welcome. The view of the mountains out of the camper door were a pleasant way to wake up and her property was secluded enough and well kept. Easy instructions and only about an hour north of Bozeman. Would def stay with her again if we made it back up this way.

It was lovely! We were close to Yellowstone and close to town to go out to eat if we didn’t want to cook at camp. The sound of the creek was peaceful. When we first pulled up, we thought we saw a bear, but it was a dog named Louis. He helped us unpack when we first got there and kept us company for a bit. ☺️ There are two ways to get to the site which is by walking over the logs or going on a mini trail path.

Cool camping spot on private land near Livingston. Far enough away from the freeway so you don't hear traffic noise. I stayed in camp #1 with my camper trailer. A little bit tight parking in the spot but do-able. A timber bridge separates the firepit and grill from the rest of the space. The bridge is probably not great for people with balance issues or little kids. But me and my dog loved it. Firepit area is very shaded and has lots of string lighting and also hammocks. All in all a fun and unique camping spot. Would definitely stay again!

Awesome place with plenty of room, Roger was awesome! We stayed at site 1 which wasn’t directly on the river but it was a short trail to the river and you had your own private beach. I actually drove my truck down the trail and made it to the beach. 100% recommend.

Great spot next to the river where the kids could splash in the river, we caught trout, watched nesting eagles and enjoyed locally grown corn! We will be back next year!

What a sweet, well conceived, well maintained and thoughtfully carved out little place Jenny has created on her property. Made me think of the little hideaway's I created in the woods as a child. Wandering down a short path to a perfect retreat - wish we’d been able to stay longer. Jenny was very accommodating and responsive.
