This five-acre oasis was once a landscape nursery. So given the close proximity to downtown we are a hidden sanctuary from the outside world, secluded by cottonwood trees and mature foliage. The site now serves as a wedding venue and offers views of Mount Helena to the South and the Sleeping Giant to the North. Learn more about this land: Pitch a tent in our aspen grove or park your camper/RV in the grassland field. You're close to downtown with lots of privacy/scenery. You'll have views of regal Mount Helena to the South and The Sleeping Giant to the North. The South Hill trail complex is a great place to explore as well as the Scratchgravels. We also have several great breweries - our favorites include Ten Mile and Blackfoot Breweries (a perfect stop you can ride to after a trail ride/hike in the South Hills). This site is perfect for those wanting to explore Downtown Helena, it's renowned trail systems, but still sleep under the stars. Pets are allowed. Please make sure you pick up after them. There is water throughout the property that you are welcome to use for cleaning, but it is not potable.

Weekend Trip to Paradise Awaits

We really enjoyed our time on this property. It is a true taste of off grid living. It is not an in town rental, but instead your experience will be far from town with the comforts you still enjoy. Elk will keep you company when you wake up in the morning. The bathroom has a unique experience that just has to be seen to understand that is very enjoyable. The host provides a very hospitable experience. I would highly recommend and also recommend enjoying all the back roads that are accessible from this cabin.

This was a great location for visiting friends in Bozeman. The directions to the site were good and the site was clean, level, completely fenced, and offered electricity and water. We travel with two golden retrievers and after checking with our host, they were allowed to roam freely on the large, fenced property. We are very satisfied RVers and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wild Horse.

What a beautiful location! A little bit of a drive north from I-90, but well worth it. Wonderful sunsets and all the stars! Chris was very friendly and a great host. The campsite was a good size. The portapotty and garbage were easy to get to. Ground was easy to stake a tent. We saw several deer, osprey, bats and pelicans. Would definitely stay here again!

It was an amazing time and experience at Chris’s property! A perfect getaway and I would highly recommend it for the solo traveler great for families looking to camp in Montana. I explored the hill side lots of deer and wildlife activity. 10/10

Great place to stay for a few days. Very nice hosts…they even shared some of their fresh eggs with us! Electric and water was nice to have and convenient to town. We really enjoyed watching their chickens and chicken ‘guard dog’.

This is our second time this summer on Christian's land, so obviously it's a big thumbs up! Christian is a super great and amiable host who enjoys sharing this little paradise; Campsite was on lush green grass adjacent to a perennial spring-fed creek. Lots of birds and wild flowers! This is a beautiful location, but please be sure you are 100% self-contained as there is no power, or waste disposal. Overall, one of the nicest places We've hipcamped in Montana!

We camped at site 2 of Michael’s property for three nights while exploring the Bozeman area. I highly recommend this for several reasons. Michael is a wonderful host; very responsive with communications, friendly, and helpful once on site, as needed. He was generous to give us a dozen fresh eggs, which we enjoyed all of (Thank you, Michael!). The location was easy to set up at. It took very little effort to level my RV; potable water was readily accessible to add to my fresh water tank (I connected my own hose to the one already in place to add water to my tank at Site 2; Site 1 likely would not require any additional hose length); and the electric service was reliable (30 amp at Site 2; Site 1 has 50 amp). The location was quiet and the surrounding neighborhood is a nice area for walking. There is a Town Pump less than 3 miles away with a free RV dump station. I would definitely stay here again when in the area.
