Pea Ridge Bike Camp is about 7 miles to downtown Bentonville and only 5 miles from Exit 88 and I-49. We are located n the country, yet only 1/8 mile to state highway 72. Restaurants, food trucks, groceries, banking and laundry facilities are only 2 miles away in Pea Ridge. We have 10 designated campsites and 10 dispersed campsite locations that are not in any designated area to allow guests some say as to where they camp. We are very flexible with arrival and departure times. From West to East, the property starts flat but then begins to slope upward as it runs from the base of Fitzgerald Mountain Eastward nearly to the top of the mountain. The former homestead was removed within the past 20 years, creating a fantastic spot for the campground. Other than these neighbors, the area feels secluded, especially at the fire pit and barn area. Fitzgerald is a historical area. Fitzgerald station is nearby, and served as a stop on the Butterfield overland stagecoach mail route that was used in the 1800s. Downtown Springdale is 2 miles away, and the pubs and restaurants cater to bikers. A paved trail is planned for the near future that will provide bike access to downtown.*Note* Backing up to a turn around area will be required for exit from the RV spots.

For our self-contained RVers we have various areas to utilize the grass but yet still close to shade, some with picnic tables, fire pits and some without but we are growing into those features for all sites. Neither area has table or firepit as of yet. Animals are welcome but we ask they stay on a leash. We have spotted several turtles on the property, and we have free roaming guinea fowl to help keep down on the pesky bugs. We do have mosquitos, tics etc. on the property so please come prepared. We have a 13,000 sq ft building with Military Surplus, flags, FREE morning coffee and a small vending machine with drinks, snacks and ice cream in freezer 7 days a week 9am to 5pm. We do have locked gates after hours, so please let us know if you need a gate code. We make it easy to get in and out of the property with three entrances/exits and large enough for big rigs to pull in. We are on US HWY 60, aprox. 1.5 miles West of Indigo Sky Casino and a short 3 miles from River Bend Casino and Twin Bridges State Park. We are close to Grand Lake which is a premier fishing location and host top professional fishing tournaments here. Grand Lake is great for Large Mouth Bass, bluegill, smallmouth bass, white crappie and channel catfish. If you're looking for something different, they are known for having spoonbill as well. For the kids there is a Safari Park not too far from us with lots of animals to checkout.

We are centrally located in the United States and just 30 to 60 miles in any direction offers lakes, attractions and even an hour and a half away is Branson! We are situated just off of state highway E, it provides easy access to all the wonders of the great outdoors, making it the perfect destination for those seeking a peaceful getaway in the heart of nature.

Bentonville Bike Camp – Jason & Julie are lifesavers! Our reservation with Koler got completely mixed up, and Jason and Julie at Bike Camp Bentonville truly saved the day. Their property is absolutely perfect—peaceful, well-kept, and thoughtfully designed. The facilities were spotless (the shower and bathroom were such a bonus!), and hookups were incredibly easy. We genuinely enjoyed our stay and can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you, Jason and Julie, for turning our trip around!

Awesome place to camp while in the Bentonville area! Damon's southern hospitality makes you feel right at home. The campground is equipped with hot showers, personal and community fire pits (firewood also included!) and a cool old school bus containing loads of information and maps of the area. Good location if you are looking to check out the vast trail systems in and around Bentonville and Bella Vista .

Weekend Trip to Bigfoot County Campgrounds

Found some trees perfect for a hammock, hiked down the rock trail, made a campfire cake, had camp coffee and enjoyed the scenery. It was my kind of party. Camper was in good shape, smelled and looked clean. Having a flushable toilet, a queen size bed to sleep in, and the option to use the stove were all very convenient (especially with a 4 year old). Great place for the price, I enjoyed the atmosphere and it was peaceful and fun. Host was responsive.

Really enjoyed our stay at Pea Ridge. Damon was great & immediately offered up his knowledge about trails & things to do in Bville. His campground has a super cute set up with a communal fire pit/grill area & an old school bus full of informational pamphlets and maps. Not sure if every site has its own fire pit but site 8 does. Thankful to find a place that takes larger rigs as our options were limited at 28’. His location is super close to town and only took about 10 minutes to get to Crystal Bridges Art Museum.

Wonderful site! Clean, quiet, and beautiful views. We just stayed one quick night and car camped but all went well. Easy to find and close to everything Bentonville and all the mountain biking trails, especially the back 40. Bathrooms were very clean and easily accessible.

Our two night stay was awesome. Even able to find our spot in the dark after visiting the museum and grabbing dinner in Bentonville. It had been raining several days before but the short section of dirt road was not terrible and the site was in great shape - just wet grass. Biking trailheads are close by and downtown trails (like Coler) a short drive. Showers were nice and hot and welcome after our ride. Late October so only a couple of other campers - very quiet nights! Definitely recommend and will stay again next time in Bentonville!

This is my third time camping here as a stopover on a roadtrip and I have enjoyed every stay. It is close enough to the highway to be easy to get to and off the beaten path enough to be a quiet place where you can encounter wildlife. Kelda is welcoming and a good communicator. I also appreciate the access to drinking water and a bathroom. I would definitely recommend Stardust.

This place is truly wonderful. Damon is so nice and takes care of the place with lots of love. A good mix of sunny and shady spots (enough of a clearing for solar/unobstructed Starlink). You can even order groceries delivered via drone. 10-15 min from the mountain bike trails 👍 We will definitely be back the next time we pass through!

Where to go

Joplin, Missouri

You might know of Joplin from Nat King Cole’s classic “(Get Your Kicks on) Route 66.” Once a stop on the famed highway, today, Joplin is a small town on the rise, recovering from a devastating tornado. Travelers can check out picturesque Grand Falls, the Wildcat Glades natural area, and sites from the Route 66 heyday. Several private RV parks in Joplin and nearby Carthage provide amenities, but public parks are hard to find without venturing out of town.

Northwest Arkansas

Another hub of activity near Pineville is found in Northwest Arkansas, where the tri-cities of Rogers, Bentonville, and Fayetteville converge. The Ozarks hills are home to a mountain biking scene that’s gaining national attention, as is the renowned Crystal Bridges of American Art. Private RV parks are scattered across the metros, with scenic public campgrounds found at nearby Devil’s Den State Park and Beaver Lake.

Roaring River State Park

Grab a fly rod or fishing pole, and head to Roaring River State Park. Located around 60 minutes east of Pineville, this state park is a popular spot for trout fishing, thanks to the well-stocked spring-fed waters. It’s also a good location for soaking in the scenery of the Ozarks, with hiking and biking trails crisscrossing the landscape. The onsite campgrounds offer sites for tents and RVs, some with electric hookups. Cabin rentals offer comfortable accommodations along the creek.

When to go

Summertime brings the bounty of campers to the Pineville region, due to the popularity of the rivers and outdoor activities. The waters are a refreshing break from the heat and humidity of the season. Spring and fall are pleasant, with moderate temperatures and scenic landscapes. For prime leaf-peeping, head to the region in October. Winter is the slow season, as freezing temperatures and winter precip are possible. Some campgrounds close temporarily.
