Where to go
Downtown Kansas City
Just 30 minutes west of Oak Grove is Kansas City, Missouri’s largest city. Visitors won’t run out of things to do—or barbecue to sample. Private RV parks and glamping rentals are found downtown and across the numerous suburbs that ring the city. Nearby public campgrounds can be found at Weston Bend State Park and Watkins Mill State Park, both offering scenery, history, and outdoor recreation close to the city.
Lake Jacomo, Longview Lake, and Blue Springs Lake
Water, water everywhere. That’s what you’ll find at Lake Jacomo and Blue Springs Lake, just 20 minutes west of Oak Grove near the town of Blue Springs.
