We have 40 acres of woods, tiny waterfalls, hiking, stargazing, bird watching, and sunset watching for the campers who like primitive camping. Enjoy the best of both worlds with a quiet, natural area to camp in, and destinations to see close by. Private area with sun, and plenty of shade. Blackberry's are available to pick in late June or early July. There are three logging trails that you can bush wack your way through just behind the campground. There are cliffs, and plenty of scenery to enjoy. We are a short drive away from Eureka Springs, Turpentine Creek(big cat sanctuary), War Eagle Cavern, and War Eagle Mill. Hobbs State National Park is close by off Scenic Highway 12, with biking, and walking trails galore! We are also close to many of the NW Arkansas mountain biking trails in the area! Access to Beaver Lake is a short drive or a long hike down the scenic rock roads. Due to the remote, and private location, we want to remind everyone that consuming alcohol under the age of 21 will not be tolerated. Safety is very important to us. Beautiful little primitive, RV and tent campground on Leatherwood Creek. There are plenty of things to do around here for kids, such as building fires and making s’mores, hiking, climbing trees, catching frogs and crawdads, fishing, and swimming. Located 5 miles outside of Eureka Springs city limits there you can find shopping, restaurants, nightlife, zip lines, mountain biking, horseback riding, and many other things. I am a stone throw away from Holiday Island city limits where you can find restaurants, golfing, walking trails, and the marina where you can rent a boat or just put yours in. There is a RV and boat storage facility on the property so if you like this area that much you can store your toys here and come back every weekend to play with them. I just got started on this new adventure so in the years to come I will be putting in water and electric hook ups, including a dump site.

We bought our land in 2004 for riding and getting away. Built a cabin for us and our 6 children to stay in, when we came riding. We have been told that these hills were once used as strawberry farms. We still find wild strawberries growing. The hills we ride and hike in, were once used by Jessie James and his gang. They robbed the local bank in Pineville, MO. And the first Jessie James movie, filmed in 1939, with Tyrone Power as Jessie James and Henry Fonda played Frank James.

This was just what we were looking for! Quiet, private, peaceful! We stayed at site 2. We were the only campers for the night but it was still a nice distance from the other 2 sites even if they had been occupied. We brought our teardrop and had no issues. We also had Verizon signal in case we needed to hop back online for something. We hope to visit again!

Such a great spot! We had a group in Site 2 and there was plenty of room for multiple tents. We went in the fall so the creek was dry but I can’t wait to come back and explore more in the Spring Jill was a great host - met us when we got there to make sure we had what we needed! I hope to be back someday ski !

We got there shortly after sunset, but we were able to find the site, no problem! Usually you expect to orangutan hang off a tree and aim for a hole when camping, but they provide a luxury private bucket toilet experience, 10/10. Our only regret was not seeing the note about exploring the old logging trails before we left for a different hike. Check under the water jug! A bunch of cute mushrooms around the site too. Also a great site for bird watching!

Would give 10 stars if I could. Not only is the location perfect, scenery beautiful, and very secluded, but the hosts are great. We had a flat tire and didn't realize it until the next morning. Jerry came out, aired up the tire so we could move to flat ground, and helped get the spare on. Will 1000% be coming back (for a third time haha)

We didn’t have anyone staying at the adjacent site during our stay so it was very quiet & owner gave us privacy. The hiking trails are overgrown so I didn’t get an opportunity to explore the creek but still had a great time.

I ended up arriving really late so basically just stayed the night there before heading to next destination but I was so tired so I appreciated being able to arrive so late and loved the privacy so wasn’t bothering others either. They recommend 4WD and I would also recommend 4WD as well. I drive a Honda HR-V so it’s not too low to the ground but is FWD. I ended up backing down the hill when I got in and getting more speed to get up the hill but other than that did fine and was definitely worth it once getting up there! When I woke up in the morning, I got to see the beautiful site and surroundings and man did I want to stay longer! It was very clean and shaded and they provided a 5 gal water jug on the picnic table, stone fire ring and toilet tent🙌🏼 I booked short notice and inquired about firewood and they provided me with some🙌🏼 I definitely plan to stay again.

Very peaceful. Loved the drive out to the property, as mentioned the driveway is steep and you’ll likely want 4WD for the last bit. My dog and I enjoyed exploring the trails, though it was pretty overgrown at the bottom so we didn’t get all the way to the river. I appreciated the firepit and the big jug of water. Overall a really nice stay!

Had a great stay! The site was peaceful, private, and surrounded by beautiful woods. The host was super easy to work with. I also drove out to Hogscald Hollow (20 minute drive on dirt roads) for some paddle boarding, which was perfect. Can’t wait to come back!

It was gorgeous and very beautiful area. Luckily we were the only ones out there when we went to camp. The lake isn’t far from the campsite just a short 10 min drive. The host is very nice, they’re sweet people. They don’t bother you or anything much very helpful when it came to directions around the area and to the lake.

If you are looking for a remote wonderland this is your place! We had so much fun exploring the mountains and creek. We even came across a small cavern. Jerry was a great host and made sure we were taken care of the duration of the trip. With that being said, he also respected our privacy. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area.
