The pasture is quite visible from Old Route 66, nearly adjoining it. Therefore people traveling “the Mother Road” find it convenient to stay with us. Grass is the best forage for horses, especially older ones, so we take care of our pastures, making for beautiful scenery for campers, too. Plus the entire back mile is bordered by old forest. And there is a swimming hole not a half mile away.
This is a quiet and private site, bordered by a neighbor's old forest on back, other neighbor's cattle pasture on side, and you're in one of the pastures used by the Horse Sanctuary. (You are camping about 1/4 mile, more or less, from our house.)
We regularly see coyote, wild turkeys, deer, fireflies, and the like.
We are just 1/2 mile off Old Route 66, therefore there are quirky little museums and great restaurants (for such a rural area!).
Plus we are only about an hour's drive from Branson. MO. which is a known tourist attraction.

The cabin is perfect. John is great he helped us with getting to town after our car broke down. The grounds has so much to offer. I came in Nov seen John building the cabin and had to come back. We will definitely come back in the future. We had firewood and a fire starter for us. It was a perfect weekend to a rough start with our car.

Luke's farm is a sweet spot with. Back yard and small farm setting. It's safe clean and convenient with gas stations, fast food and grocery stores right up the street. We felt like was at home! Nice fire pit to cook on and a clean porter potty! Luke is very responsive and helpful! This s safe place for children a my and pets!!! We will most definitely be back!

Great place. Great value. Everything could possibly want and need for an overnight stop or extended stay. This place got it right. Possibly the best private campground we've ever stayed. Dog park, showers, restrooms, level sote, full hookups, plenty of room, close to the freeway but not too close.

My best friend and I decided to go camping for the weekend on very short notice. We found this spot which was so nice and pretty. The creek wrapped around the campsites. The water is so clear and refreshingly cold. It might even be a spring. There is a beautiful sunflower field that is just a glorious backdrop at sunrise and sunset. The campsite is very spacious and private. It was a great weekend. Very relaxing and Ann and Dave were super friendly and worked around our tardiness getting there. Over all one of the prettiest campsites I’ve ever been to! I plan to go back soon but with a bigger group this time!! 10/10 recommend!

It was really a great stay. My wife and I got there, met him, and he told us we could set up anywhere we wanted even though we booked a certain spot. He allowed us to use an extension cord to draw power from the bathroom for our tent. We were welcome to as much firewood as we wanted. He was very respectful of our spot and wouldn't come over unless we invited him. He even came over to help with the fire even though he had to use a portable respirator to get around. This is the most selfless man I've ever met and he's on the top of my list for places to camp again.

Dave and Ann have a treasure here and they are also great hosts. Our family of 4 tent camped at site 2 for 5 days. It was bordered on all sides with either the clear Spring River or a field of sunflowers. They have put love into the set up with lighting, chairs, two fire pits, charcoal grill, trash bin, portapotty, and a spacious gravel lot that is so nice for keeping the site clean - no mud. We didn't use the deck except to put up our fishing bag and poles but it is a neat and unique feature. Tons of space for multiple campers and/or tent setups. Trees aplenty for shade. The spring-fed river kept us comfortable on 112°f heat index days. Plenty to do: swimming, casual catch and release fishing, rock hunting and painting, hammocking, crawdad catching, exploring. Mount Vernon is ~10 min away with gas stations, Walmart, fast food and some restaurants. Check for copperheads and leaches in the river, and horse and buggy on the roads!

We really enjoyed spending the night here! The hosts were wonderful with excellent communication. They have an indoor bathroom during the day and evening and a porta-potty at night.... I was relieved to find the porta-potty super clean! They also have an outdoor shower. Sunrise was beautiful!!!

Had a great time! I stayed in the cabin, it was small but had everything I needed, with a restroom close by. The farm had lots of things to do, darts, pool, ringtoss, ax throwing just to name a few. It also had a little common area, with electric and different things you could use to cook your food, crock pot, hot plate, waffle iron. It was also close to many things outside of town. You could come and go from your campsite. Teresa was a great host! She gave me her phone number to call or text with questions. He answered them all in a a timely manner. I also ordered some banana blast cookies. They were to die for! I ordered them and they brought them to my campsite a little later still warm from the oven.! I will definitely be going back again soon!
