This river is fishable with flat bottom jet drive boats most of the spring and early summer and floatable year round. You can float to your campsite and relax instead of waiting in line at the boat ramp. Also we are located about 13 miles from Crane Creek, A blue ribbon trout park. You can camp here and fish there.

I enjoyed camping at Howler Bike Park. Jennifer is one of best hosts ever. The coffee is great and food is outstanding. I recommend the chilli burger. There is a little road noise from the highway, but the traffic is pretty sparce at night. I will be staying here again.

We loved it. A quiet pocket of woods that feels worlds away. The campsite is old-school and unfussy—just everything you need :) —it’s thoughtfully stocked and surprisingly cozy. We went during late summer and the trees produce a flood of green, and companioned by the nearby river, it was all entirely refreshing. We loved the privacy, the walkways, a home for a fire & a canoe at the ready. If you want seclusion with a touch of trust and care, this spot is a pure woodland balm.

It's hard to beat the array of accommodations, including the shower house and various other amenities, not to mention the unparalleled hospitality at this price. It's also some of the best shuttle service downhill riding in the Midwest and one of our favorite places to spend time with our mountain biking family and friends! Highly recommend! I was able to get a great nights sleep in my camper in the parking lot for the three days I was at Howler. My camper is 22 ft and I would not suggest that anything larger be attempted.

had a wonderful stay here with my friends. the land is really pretty and our spot was shaded, great access to the river, nice and secluded. bathroom was clean. greg was great. definitely gonna stay here again! hidden gem of missouri for sure
