It would be perfect base camp for motorcycle camping, Bikes, Blues &BBQ, centrally located between Branson, Missouri, and Rogers, Arkansas beautiful fall drives to all the craft fairs local in the area, War Eagle Mill, Old Applegate, etc., the fall color change for all the leaf peepers, remote mountain biking, hiking, exploring, hunting camps, etc. Near the intersection of Hwy 76 and state highway M it’s only 6 miles to big M marina Campground for access to the lake and between Eureka Springs and Branson for exploring and shopping
Property has a feel for an old west gunsmoke town. Separate his and her shower houses private loft room is available, apartment available, bunkhouse available, pergola and smokehouse for cooking or small wedding venues, hillside spots for camping, hammock camping or tent camping, joins Mark Twain national forest, hiking headquarters or mountain biking, close to big M Marina, Eagle rock Marina and Roaring River State Park

Float, Fish, Swim or vacation in the Ozarks. We have approximately 3 acers of the 15 we own set aside for camping. Plenty of room for two campsites on cleared, level land adjacent to the James River. Best suited for tent or small campers. We offer firewood, a port a potty, a dumpsite for holding tanks, water from our well to fill your water tank and electricity to charge devices and RV batteries at my barn. Generator rental available on a first reserve, first serve basis. Located about halfway between Springfield, MO. and Branson, MO. Nearby attractions include trout fishing, and a mountain bike park.
Please note, This campground is located in a floodplain and weather related cancellations are common.
Fish, Fish, Fish. This river is primed for fishing. You will have to bring your own boat, or float as I don't have good river bank fishing access. I added a small floating dock last year to fish or swim off of. There is a state park boat ramp a short distance away. The steps in the photos are plenty sturdy to tie boats to overnight. This river is fishable with flat bottom jet drive boats most of the spring and early summer and floatable year round. You can float to your campsite and relax instead of waiting in line at the boat ramp.
Also we are located about 13 miles from Crane Creek, A blue ribbon trout park. You can camp here and fish there.

Kevin is a gracious host and the upstairs room was a welcome respite on a cold, windy, rainy night. It was clean and warm and roomy. He is new to Hipcamp and is still working on amenities but I had everything I needed because I’m car camping. I will return if in the area. Thanks Kevin!

Kevin is a gracious host. His place was welcomed shelter on a cold, rainy, very windy night. I was comfy cozy in the upstairs room. Kevin is new to Hipcamp and is still working on the amenities, but I had everything I needed with me since I was car camping. I even decided to stay a second night.

We stumbled upon this jem while booking a last minute stay and we really lucked out! We even ended up staying another night. The location is great for an off grid experience with all the amenities. There is a boys/girls bathrooms with showers, plenty of tools and wood for making dinner, and amazing nature spots all around to explore. Kevin was the icing on the cake, he is very knowledgeable, welcoming, and we couldn’t have had a better host! The primitive spot is surrounded by trees and very private, due to having a large truck though we ended up setting our rooftop tent up by the teepee!

I absolutely LOVED this place!! It has a very unique cute vibe, old time western but with modern features, clean restrooms and showers, wifi.. plus I've never seen so many hummingbirds at once! This is our family's third time renting Orphans Island. We love that we can rent the spot and have the privacy to be as crazy as we are. Greg does a great job keeping things clean and updated. This was my first experience with Hipcamp and I truly enjoyed my time there. Greg is a great host, the bathroom was kept clean during our 4 day trip. This was the first girl’s camping trip I took with my best friend where it was just the two of us and we had a blast the entire time. There was plenty of shade, a pretty big fire pit, and tons of privacy. When the sun was too much, we grabbed our river tube and headed to the private dock off of the James river. The water was clear and the surroundings and wildlife was unforgettable. Despite the rain, our campsite stayed dry and we didn’t get bogged down in a ton of mud. It was easier than I thought it would be to find the camp itself and there is a Dollar General about 15 minutes away, so it was convenient. We will definitely be back to do a couple’s camping trip very soon. I am pleased that there is an app like this for people who want to camp more privately. It was a great experience all the way around.
