Our goal was to find a place we could wake up in the woods, and this was the spot! Nice having coffee on the deck overlooking the property and ending the day w a fire. We were pretty self-sufficient, but my impression was that if we needed something we could just message to ask. I would have liked to be more social w. our hosts but just didn’t have the energy; the whole point of us being there was for a much needed respite. Also we were there during the work week and they were busy going about their business. We stayed in the treehouse and didn’t need the heat even, it is pretty well insulated which also cuts the train noise others commented on. Super cute goat! Very personable turkey! Definitely the woods go back a fair ways for exploring. We found good nearby hikes too; the big loop around the lake at Metamora-Hadley was a really good route.

If you're looking for a place to get away for a few days I'd highly recommend. Booked during the week in September and had the whole place to myself. Plenty of places to walk around on the property and explore. I stayed in the treehouse and would encourage you to try it for yourself.
The hosts left me pretty much to myself unless I requested something and they were friendly and quick to respond if I needed something (fresh eggs, firewood, etc).
The tent campsites I saw were all nice and clean and were far enough apart to have some privacy if they have multiple guests. They also have a group campground.
One note, watch the chickens, they are sneaky and will sneak up and steal your food if you aren't careful.
I'll definitely be back.

The Treehouse and surrounding property are beautiful and serene. So much to see and experience, it felt like being in a different world. The host is very accommodating and provided everything we needed to make our stay great. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway and place to recharge.

This is an adorable little piece of heaven. Kids would have an absolute blast. We had fun spotting all the wildlife and things that glowed once the sun went down. Nice, quiet,and relaxing.

Patrick was great, place is great. As we were pulling in Patrick was up in the treehouse installing an air conditioning unit because it has been so hot. So glad he did, it was over 90 degrees throughout most of our stay. Appreciated it so much.

Weekend Trip to The Jolly Treehouse
The spot is private in a wooded area by a pond, and the little cabin is neat. Sleeping on the futon was a little rough on my back, but better than the ground! We hope to come back again, and I'll bring a mattress topper next time. Because the weather had been overcast for a while, there wasn't enough solar power for my little fan or hot plate, but it charged my phone just fine.

1 night at The Jolly Treehouse
The Jolly Treehouse was the perfect place to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday with a quick getaway. It is tucked away in the woods while still maintaining beautiful views of the land around! I purchased the s'more and firewood bundle and had a wonderful time sitting around and enjoying the campfire with my girlfriend. We did some arts and crafts at the campsite, enjoyed the hammock, sat on the bridge that goes over the pond, and played some of the games provided inside of the treehouse. The treehouse itself is a gorgeous space!! We slept with the doors open, as there is netting covering any openings, and listened to the rainfall on the tin roof as we slept. Derek provided wonderful directions pertaining to the rules of the treehouse, and I couldnt have asked for a better time at The Jolly Treehouse(((:

Weekend Trip to The Jolly Treehouse
Very cute and thoughtfully put together. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed our time here. Nice hiking trails and places to check out within a 30-minute drive. Loved hearing the frogs at night, and the surrounding woods on the site. It was so relaxing and comfortable!

This is SUCH a cute space. Derek has created an adorable spot here, and the treehouse is absolutely full of thoughtful touches that make it feel really special (so many things- a spot for kids to play under the treehouse, an ax for splitting wood if you need it, peppermint oil in the outhouse). I brought my bin of camping basics (lighter, bowl and mug, etc), and found that I didn't even have to open it. I'm definitely more of a backpacker than a glamper, but this went above and beyond glamping. There are some really good mountain biking trails and hiking trails nearby, and it's very accessible to Ann Arbor but also feels quiet and removed from the city. Great stay, and would definitely recommend.

Weekend Trip to The Jolly Treehouse
In an area with a lot to do, hikes, downtown Chelsea. The treehouse was clean and comfortable with many thoughtful amenities. Outhouse was clean and odor free. Do not have little kids, but would be an amazing place to bring children, so much for them to do. Host was very available, kind, I had a restorative girls weekend around the campfire!
