Mirror Lake Private Property

You talk about social distancing Mirror Lake  is the place for you.  All of the Mirror Lake properties are private. There is 175 acres here at mirror lake and the lake is approximately 12 acres. With Amish farms and families all around.  The Mirror Lake Bunkhouse has all amenities. You are welcome to cook over an open fire, use the grill or the small kitchen accessories provided. don’t forget the option is always available to go out to dinner with a restaurant only 4 miles away. Although we are located in the middle of the country. You can wake up to beautiful sunrises or take in breath taking sunset in the evening.  The lake is a private lake owned by three property owners. Our Cabin # 2  “Old Phil”  Is located on the west side of the lake in a 15 acre woods. About 1-1/2 miles away is Our cabin # 1 “Little Elk” Is located near the little Elkhart River. Nestled in its own 10 acre woods. Both of these properties are primitive ( no running water in an out house for a bathroom). Firewood is provided and there are trails in the woods to walk. The Mirror lake property has been a family farm for over 185 years. There is a family cemetery that dates to 1832. If you want to be around a lot of people in the fast track this is not the place for you. If you’re looking for peace, quiet, tranquil, social distance but still enjoyed this is the place for you!

Naquadah

Named for our friend Cris Kauffman who passed from an epileptic seizure.  His family entrusted us to clean it up and finish ehat her patents started, Cris  was going to live here, in essence he does because he helped build it. Forest, music studio, music events, nature, wildlife preserve with hiking trail, state land borders, 3 rivers within 10 miles, private, rustic site, no power at this time. Still in development. Come on in and help us out! We welcome all, we love you whoever you are.

Sun Creek Farm

Tents. Hammocks. Vans. RVs. Small camper trailers. Groups. Glamping 

This property has been in our family for over 40 years- it is our own little piece of heaven and we are wanting to share it with you!

The land was originally bought to be a hippy community- but sadly people grew up and moved on, leaving my father as the lone survivor of the property. My husband and I have recently purchased the land from him and want to make it into something beautiful- a new community of sorts. We are excited for you to come and camp on our property!  We have lots of fun things planned for the property and will be making improvements as we go!

Our little slice of heaven is nestled back off the country road- with over 30 acres, we have a couple of old horse pastures and barns, a beautiful grassy area that has a large fire pit and a natural pond. Some wood is provided for your initial fire; more can be purchased from us for $5 per bundle.  We have basic electricity, a country swing, a dock if you would like to fish- we also have nice grassy walking paths and a wooded area as well. Our land is very peaceful and safe.  The perfect space to unplug and unwind and to recharge yourself. 

While we do only consider our space one site, it is large enough for groups as big as 30 ppl, with plenty of room to set up tents in your desired areas. Campers and trailers are welcome, with limited size requirements and space; we also restrict where they can be parked. 

We are very close to several rivers in the area, so bring your kayaks, or inner tubes and float down the rivers for a peaceful afternoon. We’re not too far from Lake Michigan (easy day trip), Kalamazoo or Lansing,

Several breweries in the area- (Battle Creek, Kalamazoo and Marshall) as well as a casino (Marshall). We are in a very nice happy medium to a lot of Michigan favorite spots. 

Come and enjoy the quiet country- and get some amazing star lit skies. 

Ask about our “glamping” set up, for an additional fee- or even an outdoor movie night.

We can accommodate large groups, or family gatherings. Large groups (over 10) must add on an additional portable toilet to their stay (seasonal only)

We have an open air shower (see photos) that is cold water- but can be hot on sunny days. 
We also have a sink area. 

Well trained- recall ready pets are welcomed- please pick up after your pet. We do have free range ducks that use the pond- who should be respected. Leashes are required for all dogs who are dangerous to our animals. 

*We are now accepting winter rentals, winter campers should prep for the cold winter weather and should have 4w drive capability’s. Some add ons including portable toilet are not available during winter months. Please confirm rentals or add ins before booking. 

We do a meet and greet with our guests and will show you to the space;  go over any information that we need to with you, and then we try and leave you to the space so you can experience it for yourself and enjoy your time. 

We are proud to be a certified pollinator sanctuary, and do not spray our property for insects. 

Visit our seasonal farm stand for fresh produce, eggs, and some beautiful flowers and herbs.

The Glamping tent was spacious, comfortable, and the lights added a wonderful ambiance! We heard a bard owl during the night and fell asleep to crickets.

Songdog Meadows

Home Sweet Home, tucked in the heart of agriculture and lake life, Angola is a wonderful small town in the north east corner of Indiana.  Songdog Meadows is our little piece of joy, from morning swims in the pond, long walks with our retrievers and sunsets to take your breath away, it is truly and deeply a treasure we cherish.  The property host a variety of apple trees, open grass land, and a large cluster of trees surrounding a 3/4 acre pond, while being surrounded by wood lots on three sides and open fields to the west.  It is truly a peaceful haven in a rural country area. Learn more about this land:Hang your hammock or pitch a tent just outside our 3/4 acre pond. There are two basins with a channel and a peaceful tree filled grass area between. The pond is in the corner of the 10 acre lot where we live at the end of a dirt road with only a small amount of traffic. The camp site is walk in on mowed pathways, with the driveway and parking area less than 200 yards away. There is a security light so you will never be in complete darkness. A stone fire pit and picnic table sit just off shore of the swimming area of the pond. There are several wide mowed pathways surrounded by prairie grasses, shaded by large trees. The area can easily handle several tents, hammocks and small RVs. The area is rural farm land with a handful of houses on the short dirt road. But this property is surrounded by wood lots and open fields. Two neighbors houses are visible but separated by trees. Our house is visible from the pond and camping area.

This path leads from the driveway and parking area to the pond and the best tent sites.  

There are mowed paths and parkways thru the area.  

There is a picnic table at the ponds edge.  Please feel free to use it during your stay.  There is also a bottle of Dr. Broner's available for you to use if you choose to bath in the pond.

Lake Getaway

The property has been in the family for 60 years. There is a small lake cottage enjoyed during the summer months by our family. We love to share the lake with others and see them enjoy it as much as we do.Learn more about this land:The camp site is located on a 246 acre all sport lake. Come enjoy the lake! Bring your kayak and paddle around the lake. Don't have a kayak? Well...neither do we but we have a canoe and paddleboat you are welcome to use. Come swim, float and relax on the water. Guests are invited to bring their boats and tie up at our dock.We have one campsite that is shaded by old growth trees on a dead end private road. You will feel like you are camping in a forest but only be 30 minutes from Notre Dame, 60 minutes from Lake Michigan, and close to shopping districts.

The campsite is mostly level side to side but requires some leveling front to back.
