We live on the property, not far away so are available if you have any questions, etc. We have a two night minimum stay. There is a book in the house full of info on our favorites...favorite place for breakfast, favorite beach, mt. bike, etc.  Other things to note:  We have a french press for making coffee and provide fair-trade coffee.   I haven't been able to update the caption on our "outdoor shower-like structure"-this is a rinse station-perfect for cooling down on a hot day!  We have an indoor shower and flush toilet.  We are pet-friendly and have hosted many groups with dogs. We built our family home in the woods behind the tiny house.  When leafed out, the trees protect the view but just want to make sure you are aware of this before you arrive. This cozy cabin in the woods was exactly the peaceful getaway we needed. The starry nights, crackling campfires, and quiet walks through the forest with our dog made the stay unforgettable. The cabin itself was warm, welcoming, and full of thoughtful touches, especially the welcoming basket waiting for us. The propane gas fireplace kept us perfectly comfortable on the cold nights, and the entire space felt like a true retreat. We loved having time to relax, recharge, and enjoy nature together. This stay was a much-needed mental health reset, and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Ricky’s Pine River hunt/camp

We loved camping at Rick’s! The cabin was well stocked with spices, flashlights, cozy and nice bedding. Rick resupied firewood for us and pointed out the trails to explore. The view from the cabin porch was beautiful with lots of colorful trees. The firepit was huge and we used the grates to cook over the fire. We’re coming back next summer!

This place is awesome!!! The cabin is so cozy and it is clear that a lot of thought has been put into this stay (extra lights, lighters, charcoal for the grill, multiple chairs, condiments, lots of wood etc.). My dog and I were nice and toasty when it got down below freezing. The outhouse was spotless. The fire pit and yard were so charming at night. Lots of trails to walk. The hosts were fantastic and treat you like family. I will be going again

Rick's place was such a gift. There were so many signs of thoughtfulness and insight into his prepared mind. Not only was the cabin equipped w/ basics but he also offers extras such as raincoats, hammocks, and what not. The property is well cared for, he has beautifully growing plants on the front porch The outhouse was actually nice, well stocked, and it was clean! The cabin too, was very clean, cleanest tiny cabin in woods I've seen yet! I like how he designed and decorated the cabin, it felt much bigger than it was. The framed bear art was so enjoyable to look at, each time I'd find something I hadn't before. It was like a mix between a Hieronymus Bosch piece and a teddy bears picnic! I highly recommend, he's a really nice easy going guy, pleasant to communicate with.

Carole and Art are two of the sweetest, most accommodating hosts you'll ever hope to meet! The amount of care and effort they put into making you feel comfortable is second to none. Like I told them, they thought of everything! Even the doggos and kiddos are made to feel welcome. There were even games for children of all ages to play - outdoors and in. For me, it was a solo trip. Carole and Art's property is so quiet and relaxing and was just what the Mental Health Professional ordered! I highly recommend the Arcala Bunkhouse for individuals, couples, groups, and families alike. The property has hills all around and is adjacent to a tree farm. Everything is so beautiful! I took so many pictures of the landscape and wildlife. I shared the atypical ones in order to not repeat the pictures that were already posted. Thank you Carole and Art for being amazing hosts and making my weekend truly memorable!

Carole and Art met with us and showed us exactly where we were going, it is definitely not on any main roads. It was beautiful and private. The hosts were very nice and helpful. The outdoor shower was super cool to use. The trails are well maintained. We got to see plenty of deer and even a bobcat! We will definitely be returning!

My wife and I had to change our plans last second for our vacation, and what we thought was just a nice little cabin in the woods ended up being a true up-north getaway that we will definitely be returning to! Carole and Al were wonderful hosts, and their property was beautiful. The fireplace and back patio were inviting, the grounds well maintained and easily hike-able, the inside of the cabin very charming, and overall the experience was far better than I could have expected.

Rick's cabin is so beautiful! He really has built a little slice of heaven in the woods. We had so much fun talking to him and meeting his sweet dog! We loved relaxing on the covered deck watching the fire below dance in the stoic stone firepit. Our son rode his bike and explored all around the trails on Rick's land, we hiked them too. Lots of nature to observe and the smells of the woods were delightful. This cabin was just what we were looking for in a quick family getaway! Rick has a large table for the kitchen counter setup with propane stoves, utensils, and a large glass water jug with an electric pump! The beds on the bunk were really comfortable, and the wood stove was so nice in the early mornings to warm the cabin up. The small dining table was perfect for taking it easy, drinking coffee and gazing out the window at the diverse trees. Rick also has a battery powered fan, and shop vac which were such nice things to have! He provided the firewood for both the outdoor pit and the small wood stove inside. The cabin is also a few miles from Yoder's of Tustin for some groceries, supplies, lots of baked treats and deli items including sandwiches. We drove to see the Pine River and the scenery around the area. Rick is a wonderful host! We will be back!! Thank you, Rick!!

This is an excellent place to stay very nice house. Both her and husband are great house and they’re making sure that everything is OK. Show us where the place was and ask us if we needed anything. They were amazing even through the little bit of rain and stuff. We enjoyed the place. Very much. Very nice place. Just to get away and relax with you and your friends. I welcome anyone who likes to be out in the wilderness, just by yourself and relaxing to come joy this place. It is amazing.
