We're a non profit community garden in the Old Algiers neighborhood of New Orleans on the West Bank of the Mississippi River, a 15 minute drive or ferry ride to the French Quarter. We use the money from these bookings to fund the community food access work that we do. While you're here you can enjoy our peaceful and spacious garden property, and we encourage you to get to know some of the fantastic neighbors who use our community fridge and herb garden.
Take the scenic Mississippi River Levee Path 1 mile to get to the Algiers Ferry dock which departs every 30 minutes and drops you off at the foot of Canal Street in the heart of New Orleans. If you have a car you can cross the bridge and get to most of the city in 15 minutes. You can also explore Algiers Point with its many restaurants, bars, local art and historic buildings. The levee trail is a block away, where you can jog, bike, or just watch the boats go by.
Property amenities include an open air bathroom and shower, communal screened porch with seating area, propane grill and various pots/pans, cooking gear and tableware, fridge, picnic tables and a small fire pit. There is an herb garden out front and there may be fruits and vegetables available for you, fresh from the garden, depending on the time of year.

This cozy fenced-in spot provides a place to plug in your RV and stay in the Big Easy in a safe, tucked away side yard just minutes from the Bywater, Marigny and French Quarter and a few blocks from the Mississippi River. You can drive, bike, or Uber to hundreds of bars and restaurants in less than 15 minutes.
Enjoy your morning coffee on the brick patio and feel free to use the fire pit (fall/winter only) and hammock! The description says an acre because it is impossible to put in a smaller number, but the actual parking space is about 25 x 50 ft, with additional hangout space nearby.
I am right next door (on the other side of the fence) if you need anything and can help navigate entering and setting up and give you a key to lock the gate with.
Warning: If your camper/RV is tall, it is tight getting in because there is a branch near the gate that hangs down to about 10.5 - 11 feet. This is best for small pull behinds and camper vans.

This sprawling historic retreat offers 10 beautifully appointed cottages that can accommodate 50 overnight guests. There is a very large, beautiful meeting room as well as an enormous banquet hall with a well-stocked commercial kitchen, compete with all linens, tableware, and stemware. The covered, screened pavilion is enormous and is the perfect place for a wedding ceremony, reception, or conference. Guests absolutely love to stretch out on the 13 acres and explore the neatly manicured grounds. The river is easily accessible and is usually the right depth for wading, swimming, kayaking and canoeing. We are located at the dead end of a quiet one-mile road called “Happywoods.” Our camp, built on piers, is situated in the wetlands along the Tickfaw River and adjacent to Tickfaw State Park.
We overlook a wilderness sanctuary home to turtles, alligators, beavers, and otters, along with a variety of water birds among the wildlife. The camp is centered around a 300-plus-year-old cypress tree.
The space
The cabin is an open-concept design with high ceilings and two open lofts for sleeping. The bathroom includes a sliding door for privacy. There are two walk-up decks for entering the cabin from the outside. Below the cabin is a long, semi-covered deck. Directly beneath the cabin is an additional sink, as well as two toilets and two showers. The camp is situated on two acres of land with adjacent wetlands on two sides.

this place was definitely bare bones but also very safe, clean and accessible. the owner was super nice and made sure to stay up and available for our arrival around 10pm.
there is a train that goes behind the park and it’s super loud!! we play rainstorm noises in the RV at night so it wasn’t too bad but maybe bring earplugs if that sort of noise would bother you.
this is a great place to pass through! we will most likely be back when we take some time to visit new orleans.

Kat was wonderful on all fronts, the location and proximity was ideal, and the neighborhood vibes were local and chill. Great stroll to the riverfront. Unique spot in the city. Felt very safe. Kat was available from the moment we clicked. Easy enough access for my class A size van We were able to stay parked and got the day pass for the RVA public transport and moved around with bus and trolleys. Get the APP. We had a pleasant 3 day stay with easy access to downtown New Orleans. The RV park was exactly how it was represented online, a big parking area with good connection to new hook ups. The place was very secure and we felt safe. Very quiet and we enjoyed the intermittent sounds of nearby trains. Management was very friendly, met us on our arrival and very helpful with set up.
Be aware to be sure you call right before you arrive so security gate can be opened - otherwise you’re RV will stick out into busy street. Thanks BJ!

A safe place to stay the night! This was a no frills RV park (no bathroom, simple grassy lot) but the gated entrance and well lit area was comforting. Brijesh was super friendly and welcoming! There was a bit of noise from the nearby train, but also super fun to watch it go by. Overall I would recommend! Great value.
