Come and spend some time at a direct-to-consumer dairy farm. Our cows are called Dutch Belted. They are often referred to as Oreo cows. Stay on the farm where the milk is produced, processed, and sold. The farm store is a short distance away and sells a large variety of farm foods. The farm consists of about 200 acres of pasture and creek bottom. The owner, Loyd, has lived on the farm all his life. We are right beside what used to be a Navy base... yeah in Kansas.:) The runway still gets used for gliders. So you might see a glider being pulled up while you are here.

I am proud to be a fourth-generation caretaker of this farm and surrounding acreage. My great-grandfather purchased this land in 1921 and since then, my family has been farming the best way that we knew how. For the last 30 years, that has meant a divergence from traditional farming practices to focus on regenerative farming-- farming that focuses on enriching the health of the soil and the animals instead of depleting it.On our farm, we raise beef, lamb, pigs and chickens and they all live out on pasture. In our farm store we sell meat, eggs, and raw, all-grass dairy products like milk, butter, cheese, kefir, and yogurt. Our customers drive from all parts of central Kansas to shop at Jako Farm because our food is different than food in the grocery store. We call it JakoPure food.Not only do we share our life-giving, gut-restoring food with others, but we want to share the experience of our farm, too. Each location provides a unique perspective on our farm, and you'll engage a different part of our story at each place. The cows and sheep will graze near by while the chickens scratch in the distance. You'll see the farmers moving the animals to new pasture and the llama playing games with the sheep. If you're up at sunrise, you'll see Ken bringing the cows up to the barn for milking (April through November). Its pretty quiet here, except for the subtle noises of wildlife. (Fair warning: if you're in a tent, you will probably hear the milking machine kick on at 6:30am.) We're also proud to be a smell-free farm because all animals live out on pasture. There are killer sunrises and sunsets here. If you're lucky, you'll also see our resident bald eagle pair soaring through the sky.A bathroom with shower is available for your use in the barn nearby.Please be respectful of farm operations, although we're always open to answering questions if you see us around. Hastago Farm RV/tent site is a grass area, plenty of shade available. 110v, 30 amp and 50 amp electricity hookups are available. Water is available on the property. There are no bathroom amenities here. Garbage can is provided. We are 8 minutes from the Abbyville Rodeo Arena and 30 minutes from Quivira National Wildlife Refuge. We are 24 minutes from Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, Kansas. At Hastago Farm we have sheep, goats, steers, chickens, ducks, and they live out on the pasture. We have fresh farm eggs daily. Goat milk is available seasonably. It is peaceful, calm, and quiet here at Hastago. You don't want to miss the sunrises and sunsets. You might even see some deer and turkeys pass by in the fields.

I enjoyed staying on Erma’s land! It was beautiful and peaceful. Her setup was great - string lights, picnic table and electric hook ups. Oh did I mention that she has a miniature horse?!?! I would definitely recommend this place and would sure love to stay again!

Our dog was enthralled with all the animals. Just a little freaked out about the llama. Lol

The view of the stars was amazing. It was fun having all the farm animals around. It was quiet all night, and we knew with a flock of guinea hens roosting behind us, that no one was going to sneak up on us while we were sleeping. Lol. Erma was in touch by message if we needed anything.

It was great and relaxing staying at the Borntrager Dairy. Great site Great Sunrise every morning. Cows before milking alot quieter than I remember on the farm. Guineas around keeping bugs down. If your looking for a peaceful private stay this is it. We will definitely be back

8 nights at The Farm at Yoder

We stayed at the farm for 8 nights and it was Amazing. Erma has thought of everything from the beautiful setting of the campsite to the hookups! No stinky water here. Erma is so very nice and we felt like we were at home. Hanging out with all the animals was such a treat! We were in town visiting family and my niece’s loved hanging out at the farm feeding all the animals and cooking on the campfire. I fell in love with Kona Ermas dog and was soon out buying her some cookies and toys. We will definitely be back again and this will be my first choice! Thank you Erma for making our vacation so wonderful!

Great experience staying on a working farm. Their food store changed the way i will eat from now on. All grass fed animals and the best cheeses. My only regret is that i didn’t buy more cheese curd. Their store is open 24/7 and is on the honor system for payment. Farmers are the best.

We absolutely loved this spot! Full hookups, tons of privacy, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and great access for our big rig (45' toy hauler). We enjoyed watching the cows come in and out of the field for milking each day, as well as the funny guinea hens pecking about. The farm store is AMAZING - delicious milk, butter, yogurt, ice cream, eggs, breads, canned goods...I could go on. DEFINITELY make sure you stop into the store! We spent a week here at the farm and each night we walked down Halstead Rd for a bit to stretch our legs and most evenings we saw an Amish horse and buggy go by which was a fun treat. We enjoyed exploring Yoder and Hutchinson - what a great area overall. We've stayed at several HipCamps in the last year and this one was our favorite so far. We will be back!!!

We really enjoyed staying here! The farm setting is great and the stars are so bright at night. The property felt very safe with our young children and there was plenty of privacy since we were out back a little ways. We really appreciated having a full hook-up, as most places don’t have septic connections. A true rural Kansas farm experience! Great host and location, easy to get to. We will be back.

Had a wonderful night at Jaco Farm. We arrived early evening and was greeted after we started setting up camp. The hosts were very nice and let us know the layout of the place. There is a very nice picnic table next to the silo along with a very clean full bath available in the farm store and is accessible 24/7. The store is filled with the fine products the farm provides. We purchased some sausage and several cheeses. It was a quiet night with a beautiful view of the property. I highly recommend this spot.

Unfortunately I picked an extremely rainy night to stay here but I still loved the spot. Daniel was friendly and easy going. I couldn’t recommend it more! If you go check out the store it’s crazy. I bought a wedge of Gouda and it was delicious. I hope to go back with better weather

Beautiful camping spot overlooks the working farm. Being able to walk the quiet roads running between the pastures was delightful. Enjoyed the birds and live stock. Nice sunset and star viewing. Once again purchased fresh, healthy meats from store on property, always has amazing flavor! 4th time staying on farm on my cross country trip and definitely will return.

Water, electric, and sewer all easily available. Quiet except for the many birds! We were the only campers and enjoyed the private, rural setting. We got there just in time to buy milk (raw) in the dairy store. There were cheeses, yogurt and other delicious items available as well.

We enjoyed the clean and spacious campsite . It was a pleasure waking up and hearing the Grasshopper Sparrows , Dickcissels and Meadow Larks singing. We even got to hear the coyotes yipping in the night . Nice place and nice friendly people . We recommend this place for anyone who wants to relax and rejuvenate in Gods great outdoors. It was nice to see the cows meandering through the grass toward the barn with a beautiful sunrise in the background . Easy to find and a safe place to stay

I do think that any site with this owner and this dairy was very good. Please check in with this owner and he will make sure you have good accommodations and that your stay is great. A working farm. Very enjoyable to stay at. Camping area comfortable with all amenities we needed for comfort. The on farm store is wonderful. I purchased dairy goods and meats. We enjoyed evening strolls on road on the farm, The use of the stores bathroom and shower was a major plus to this already wonderful, experience. I drive from Georgia to utah multiple times a year, I've stay three times at this location and plan to do it again. Top notch!

Our time here was brief and only one night, but it was quiet and clean. Just what we needed. Host was friendly and extremely responsive to our messages. If I find myself back in the Hutchinson area will definitely be back.
