Harmony Lake welcomes you to our Farm. We are proud to be a registered member of Missouri Agritourism. 
Agritourism connects our guests with the great outdoors via Farm Stay. 
We hope you enjoy your stay at Harmony Lake Farm. 

We are walking distance to Harmony Lake: a private 12-acre lake for fishing, swimming and paddle boats. Our lake is home to record large-mouth bass and Missouri's longest free-floating walkway leading to a private island.

We are located just 15-minutes from the highway and one hour to sites and attractions of Kansas City. We are 15-minutes to Lexington historic district or Odessa.

We have a variety of tent and RV sites for your party to choose from so just reach out if you would like clarification on anything. Campfires and pets are allowed and all sites have access to bathrooms, a shower, bins, and an outdoor grill house.

The Light Center

The Light Center is a 95 acre natural sanctuary nestled in a wooded valley amidst the farm land of Kansas. We have a refinished barn with two private rooms and a community kitchen, a 30ft Pacific Yurt and lots of great places to camp. If you're just driving through or want an 'easy' camping experience with wifi, pitch your tent in the spacious yard around the barn. We also have lots of places to hike to and several wonderful remote camping spots. Choose from hiking out to camp near the large creek that winds through our land, gathering with friends in a meadow or tucking into a spot in the woods with a beautiful view of the Kansas plains. Out here, on a clear night, you can see all of the stars.

We also are an organic sustainable farm, providing natural sacred spaces for hiking and camping.  We welcome peaceful camping for people with reverence for the land and all beings. We have goats, free-range chickens, guinea hens, dogs and cats. For the safety of our livestock and other guests, we do require visitors to keep their dogs on a leash at all times. 

The Light Center is a retreat center serving as a beacon, lighting the way into a vibrant future. We are creating new paths into the future with open hearts. We offer events, celebrations and ceremonies about harmonizing with the earth and inspiring personal, local and global connections. We provide a safe space to nurture and inspire spiritual growth and empower youth. 

The campground is surrounded by beautiful trees. 

There is a creek near by that allows for some nature walks or a place for your dogs to splash. 

The Hitch N' Post

Enjoy the beautiful timber, canoe pond, peaceful creek, the native wildlife, and the sound of nature throughout the property. Disc golf, hiking trails, canoeing, fishing, and swimming in creeks are favorites by most guests. Guests can also learn how to throw a tomahawk, hunting knife, and atlatl near the camping sites.

Our campsites are just a short walk from the farmhouse ,or drive right to your camp site.   .   To your own private location. If you are bringing an RV, for an additional charge there is a gravel lot with water and electrical hook ups.

The host was so nice and set up a barrier between the ground and our tent since it was chilly out. 

We set up camp, just on the edge of the tree-line. Enjoyed the shade of the trees, but also had a nice breeze coming through at night.

There are four ways of cooking and enjoying a fire. Smoker BBQ Grill, t-post horseshoe fire pit, open fire with adjustable cooking tray, large BBQ Grill with stainless steel top, with lots of room for pots pan Skillet barbecuing Etc all at once.

RC Estate

We invite you to see what this land has to offer when we care in sustainable ways. 

A variety of flora and fauna are found here, from prairie plains to wooded creeks with clear water and flagstone foundation. 

Beautiful trails to hike, bike, ride or drive (horse carriage) are well marked with safety and good humor in mind. While we have paths mowed, they are not mowed weekly like lawns, so expect a bit of nature length on occasion.  Bring your choice of bug deterrent for a comfortable stay. 

Be one with nature, and also a part of what is to come. 

From berries in the summer to eggs year round, we hope to offer a fully sustainable experience

Annie's Main City HIDEOUT

Pitch your tent on one of two wooded islands or back in woods by the creek. Opened new hiking trail up creek cross bridge, down opposite side. Badminton, fishing, paddle boats, hillbilly swimming pool, half court pickle ball inside the dome.  Second Saturday musician night from 6-9 pm. Stage, PA, drums, mics, amps, dance floor.

Fangthorn Forest

In the 1840's there was a trading post on the property known as Lick Skillet because the owner would set the pans out at night for the dogs to lick.  Today, we call it Fanthorn Forest and it's our dream, our haven and our home.  We love sharing our farm with others and allowing them the same experience of peace and tranquility we get from the land.Learn more about this land:Located only 50 miles SE of Kansas City, MO!  We have woods and pasture with Settle's Ford Wildlife area (fishing and hiking available) 1/4 mile away. Camping is primitive with only an outhouse and no shower facilities. There are MANY thorn trees, so hikers must have proper footwear.  Fire ring, wood and a grate for cooking are provided.  Livestock encounters are also available with owners in attendance.  All proceeds are put back in the farm to care for the animals and the land.  RV's are allowed, but we do not have any hook ups available and they are not allowed in the woods.  Parking area is at the end of the driveway for both cars and RV's.  We love kids and will provide lawn darts or any other games we have available if requested.  Please visit our website at fangthornforest.com for more information.
