We chose Bare Ass Acres for its excellent reviews and for its proximity to the Tall Grass Prairie National Preserve. The good reputation is well deserved: Brenda is a very welcoming host, the sites are fairly flat, with water and electricity, and availability of sewer. You can hear the train, but it certainly didn't keep us awake. We stayed 2 nights. Brenda, we enjoyed our conversations. If we ever travel to this area again we will definitely stay at this hipcamp again.

This property was beautiful. Big huge sites right by the water with plenty of good shade trees. My kids loved visiting all the farm animals and playing on the swings. The fishing was pretty good. We caught several fish and a couple turtles. It was just a nice peaceful campground without a ton of neighbors. We’ll be back for sure

My girlfriend and I, had an amazing time. The host was very accommodating and pleasantly nice. Raymond the donkey was our favorite, campsites were great. We truly enjoyed the visit and will be back for sure !!

I loved this campground. The property was beautiful, the hosts were kind and helpful, and we were far enough away from other campers to make it feel private. I truly recommend LGS, truly a beautiful spot.

We truly loved the campsite, it was very peaceful and the scenery was beautiful. The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again to enjoy another camping weekend.

We had an amazing weekend camping at Lake Georgia-Sue, staying at Tom’s Meadow campsite. The whole experience was wonderful. Our kids especially loved all the animals (goats, horses, and even a pig!). We spent our days kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, and enjoying campfires in the evenings. The clubhouse was just a short walk away and had everything we needed. Fred was a fantastic host, super helpful and welcoming. We absolutely plan to come back and hope to make this a family tradition!

Brenda was great! Communicative and friendly, and helpful. Her land was lovely and convenient to Emporia and our event destination. There was one other trailer and a couple of tents, but we still had privacy. Very nice!

Our stay was fantastic. The Fisherman's Cove site we were at had a really great view over the water. The host was welcoming and gave us a tour when we arrived and told us about all the animals and other property information and some history. There was plenty of space on the property, and the laid back slow paced vibe was excellent. And we were close enough to town to run in and get a few things we needed for the weekend.
The only downside is it's near railroad tracks. It wasn't a problem for us, but if you're particularly sensitive to sound, you might not enjoy the trains.

Super nice host and staff. Train and hi-way noise but doesn’t affect the stay. Nice lake to paddle and large sites. All the animals are fun to visit. Pretty surroundings.

We had a great time camping in our popup at Lake Meadow 1. The view was beautiful, and the clubhouse was very convenient. Our camping spot was freshly mowed and we enjoyed seeing all the farm animals. As other reviewers noted, the trains are loud, but it didn't bother our family too much (our kids liked seeing them go by!). Thanks for a great weekend!
