The campground has a bathroom facility with indoor shower and outdoor showers. We have a hot tub guests can use along with hiking trails and a propane grill.
Sunset Mountain is near the Elk River in Noel Missouri and close to Northwest Arkansas where there are mountain biking trails, museums and many other activities. Sunset Mountain is listed on the Monarch Butterfly Waystation registry as well. Come stay on the buff bluff!
We are located 1.2 miles away from the Noel city park that has free Elk River access, 4 miles to Mt. Shira free Elk River access near Shady Beach and 5.2 miles to the free Elk River access in Pineville, MO near Shady Beach Pineville.

Behind the hedgerow (to the North) there's a mowed areas for a tent. There's also a tree platform. A train runs through town about 10 x day and night about 5 blocks away. There's capacity for leaving your trash/recycling here (I have to pay for weekly pick-up but rarely is my bin full), there's also washer/dryer that can be used (within reason)

There were two towns very close by for anything we needed and Tony was very friendly and able to accommodate a last minute added night! Booked this about a month out for my trip thru Texas. The RV park is pretty new according to Anthony the owner who greeted me after my arrival. It's very well laid out with 10 newly built tiny homes and many pull thru fully equipped RV spaces. The park also contains full bathrooms, laundry facilities, dog park, pickle ball court, code enabled entry gate and a disc golf course. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay especially if you like full rv hookups resort like atmosphere spotless clean amenities. The price to stay was a bargain considering all the amenities provided.

We were able to roll up just a bit before sunset and it was perfect! This was our first clothing optional Hipcamp and talk about freeing! Not only was that a fun discovery, the property was outstanding. Clean and nice touches everywhere from A-frame wash/shower room, the hot tub, pool, fire pit, BBQ, wash tub for dishes, etc. James and Amy greeted us to make sure we had everything we needed. The pool was made ready for us the next morning for the tiny window of sun we got (thanks James!) you can really see the pride and care for the land and the experience they provide to campers.
We didn’t get to meet any other campers this time however this stop will remain at or near the top of our camping experience list for quite some time - highly recommend. We will be back!

My boyfriend and I stumbled across Sunset Mountain and, while we have never even considered a nudist lifestyle, we figured so many positive reviews couldn’t be wrong. We are so glad we gave it a shot! Whether or not you practice a nudist lifestyle yourself (as long as you are open to others around you being in the buff!), you should certainly give this a try! James maintains his property so well and you can tell he loves the land. The facilities were immaculate! From the bathroom and outdoor showers to the pool and hot tub, we were incredibly impressed at how clean everything was. We went into the weekend figuring it would be something fun to say we did once, but by the end of the weekend, agreed we will definitely return! Sunset views were amazing and we took the opportunity to snap some fun pics too 😆 Thanks James for sharing your beautiful property with us!

John and his wife were so kind and attentive. Very responsive and communicative, and made me feel welcome and this spot was safe and laid out nicely!
The cedar outdoor shower with the inline water heater worked perfectly, and was just heaven. This spot is on an old Drive-In movie theater property, and you can feel and see the nostalgia.
I highly recommend this spot!

If you are looking for a peaceful, freeing escape, this is the place for you. The amenities provided are nice and well cared for. There was only a small handful of guests during our stay, so nothing is crowded. The campsites are a bit close together, but since we came late on a Saturday and stayed until Monday, it was fine for us. James is a very nice guy and communicates well. We enjoyed the location, scenery and privacy.

Weekend Trip to Sunset Mountain
My wife and I were very pleased with our stay at Sunset Mountain. The place is very scenic with wonderful views of rolling pastures and forest. The campground is rustic but not at all shabby, unlike some C/O places we've been. I can tell that a lot of work is put into maintaining the grounds and keeping them tidy. The trailer was well-maintained, clean, and comfortable.
The hiking trails were a little rough, but not a problem if you wear decent walking or hiking shoes and can handle short hills. We met one fellow on the trails doing them in flip-flops, and he sort of regretted that. Hiking naked really is the best part of the stay.
James and Amy, the owners, are pleasant and helpful people who bring a comfortable vibe to the place. Facility improvements are in process, too, and I know that in the months and years to come, it will be an even more delightful place to stay or camp. We definitely plan to return.
