Johnathan’s spot totally exceeded my expectations. This is a terrific spot for RVers, given the available hookups. I just had a roof tent, but the extra high carport kept everything from getting wet in a blow-through rainstorm, and the fire pit was a lovely way to wind down after a long day on the road. I highly recommend the breakfast add-on to get a little fuel in you. It’s nothing fancy, but it is tasty and delivered when you need it.
It’s a beautiful, quiet property — wish I’d stayed longer than one night to explore the trails around the property. Also, my dog loved it.

Great, covered spot with convenient features for a quick overnight or extended stay. Having an indoor bathroom was nice as well as a port-a-potty closeby. It was very quiet and the pond was beautiful. Friendly, accomodating host.

Jonathan’s place was great. Very nice site, with lots of amenities. We have a 35’ motorhome and had plenty of room for it and our toad. We were there for a wedding on property also. Jonathan and his family have an event center on the property too. While at the reception, I left the table for a bit. When I returned there was Jonathan playing tic tac toe with our son.

Located a couple of miles off of I 80
Metal car port that you can park under if your rig is 10 feet tall or less. Beautiful setting, I would definitely stay here again!

This is a perfect spot to camp simply. Prep was easy - just packed up our tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bags, food, and a change of clothes and we were ready to hit the road. Already onsite were seats, firewood, a fire pit, and plenty of room for so many great activities. My son loved flying his kite, our Hosts were kind enough to let him pitch in and fetch their remote control aircraft, and we enjoyed feeding the fish and riding the boat in their pond. The hot breakfast in the morning - delivered to the tent - was perfect. Unfortunately our dog was a little yippy and got away from us a few times, but otherwise it was such a great experience and we look forward to returning soon!

Had such a wonderful experience at Apple Acres, I now see why the family has such wonderful ratings and reviews. Lots of space to spread out. The carport was a great bonus to hang out under and stay out of the sun.
The walking trails were perfect for our dogs, we were even able to take our stroller out there too (jogging stroller).
There is the porta-potty onsite, but we just use our camper.
There are really nice bathrooms on the property nextdoor (Martha's Orchard), which is also part of the family.
Next to your site is a beautiful hummingbird and butterfly garden. I sat out one evening just to watch and enjoy the peace. 8 females, one male ruby-throated hummer.
They have put so much time and effort into their property and it truly shows.
The hosts are very kind and helpful! Chatted with them a few times:)
Location is perfect. Out in the country, but super close to the Indy attractions.
35 minutes to the Children's Museum and Zoo
20 min to airport
30 minutes to the State Fairgrounds
Can't wait to be back!

This is a wonderful spot! It is obviously well cared for. We are normally tent camp away from potable water, toilets, etc - so this spot felt like a luxury glamping experience. Truly - I have never been in a clean port-a-potty before. While our experience was cut short due to personal reasons - we highly recommend this spot. You are parking near their home, but it feels private. The site is really well maintained. Jonathan was a great communicator and proactively checked via message to make sure everything was okay for us when we arrived. The swing chairs and fire pit are so wonderful after a long cross-country drive.

Fantastic Hipcamp! The host, Melissa, was kind and very accommodating when I asked to do a load of laundry. The campsite itself was well appointed and comfortable with a great picnic area and super clean porta potty. Even better than I expected.

Without a doubt, best camping site ever! 90+ degree sunny day and under the canopy our camper was cool(ish) and the breeze from the field was almost like AC. We had friends over for a cookout (under the canopy) and their infant daughter had no issues with the heat. This family was awesome. We met Jonathan's dad, Gary who told us all about the 5 generation history of the property and gave us a tour of the wedding venue next door which they also operate. Jonathan's wife was busy around the property making everything beautiful.
The campsite was very well kept, Firewood was available (small charge) and the smokeless firepit (you read that right) was so nice. With a couple more sites underway this is going to be very well recieved in the Agrotourism community. Thanx for a great experience Jonathan. I hope we pass this way again.

My family had a wonderful time while visiting Apple Acres. It is close to town for shopping but far out enough that you can sit outside to enjoy nature without hearing the typical city noise. The site is well maintained, beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. For my family it has the perfect mix of rustic living with modern conveniences. The whole family including our furbabies felt welcome and would love to visit again.

We loved camping at apple acres. We were the only campsite on the farm. it was very peaceful, and comfortable. The site had a lovely ambiance. The adarandack chairs, the hanging hammock chairs, the lighting... everything has the touch of a host who is passionate about the experience of their guests. My kids enjoyed the pond and paddle boat. I enjoyed the trails and the historical of the apple trees.

We loved camping at Apple Acres! The reviews here saying that it was better than expected are absolutely correct. The carport was excellent for our little pop up (no need to bring our additional canopy) and we loved the hammock chairs and firepit. The sink area and porta-potty nearby were helpful (the flush toilets aren't too far, but it's nice to have a closer option at night). Improvements had been made even since some of the photos, including a firewood shelter. (NOTE: Don't sleep on the firewood across the road! You get a LOT for $10 and it's the best firewood we have used!) Starter wood and newspaper was even ready to go in the firepit before we got there. Jonathan and his family were very welcoming and helpful - even when our electric went out at almost Midnight and we had to wake him! Jonathan graciously came out and replaced the outlet entirely so that we could sleep warm (and so my husband could use his cpap!).
Our kids enjoyed the dirt bike track even without bikes - especially our 5yo, who just loved playing in the dirt - and we liked the walking trails back in the forest, and the small pond and ducks.
The only possible thing that could make this site better would be a shower, but we brought our own camp shower and it worked fine (on sunny days). We'll be back for sure!

Better than advertised/in the pictures. Would definitely park here again. Fire pit is great, and the carport cover is a bonus if its raining to get stuff in and out of your vehicle.
