Such a fun spot for a family camp! We enjoyed the peace & quiet and amenities like firewood and fresh produce. Host was friendly and accommodating. Would definitely camp here again!

Weekend Trip to Black Sheep Flower Farm

We had a great time enjoying the peace&quiet. The view is pleasant, and it is a comfortable place to sleep and camp. There's a kitchen with running water & a fridge, and enough fallen timber in the woods that you don't need to bring firewood as long as you're prepared to chop some up. Dennis is a wonderful, friendly guy. I hope we can make it back here sometime!

Sam and his family were extremely welcoming. We enjoyed "roughing it" on a comfortable bed and our kids loved the farm. Sam gave a farm tour on regenerative farming that was both educational and fun. We definitely will visit again!

My girlfriend and I had an amazing one-night stay in Rabbit Run on Sam’s farm! Upon being greeted, we felt our presence was very welcomed and wanted. Our site felt very private, but still within only footsteps of the bathroom and communal area. Sam is very friendly, accommodating, and incredibly knowledgeable (take the farm tour!!). 10/10 cannot wait to book another stay!

2 nights at Glamping+Goats+Gardens 175Acre Farm

Great place to camp for small and large groups. Tents are close enough together that groups can easily meet up, but far enough you don't feel ontop of other campers. They have all the amenities that you need to entertain kids and adults, including bikes, playground, volleyball, basketball, and communal areas with books and games. They have an interesting tour of the Farm and it is fun to explore. Tent included a table, couch, queen bed, rugs, solar lights and a portable battery for charging. Outside was a shaded table, hammock, firepit with grill. Water is available through a hose on the side of the building. The only recommendation I would have would be for the farm to install more bathrooms/showers/sinks. There is some pit toilets outside, but there is only one bathroom with a sink/shower for the whole farm so it can be difficult to share when there are large groups. Even having one more sink somewhere would have been helpful.

Just the perfect place for primitive camping! Listening to the sound of the creek flowing at night is so relaxing, although train passes every hour or two didn’t bother us much. The owners were very friendly and attentive to their guests. We would definitely go back to foreaker and highly recommend to outdoor and camping enthusiasts.

We really enjoyed the stay in Sunrise Tent we were first guests staying in this tent and it was neat and clean, there are improving some areas and there going to install another tents but still accesible to the learning center where there is a bathroom you can use 24/7. Staying in this place you can disconnect your mind from stress of the city and get connections with nature and realize what is real life, we loved the peaceful place. We tasted pizza baked with real wood and organic tomatoes was delicious. If you are Nature Lover this is the place you should go just be prepared with all necessary stuff to camp and enough food. I was no afraid of my children run and play around there because no dogs are allowed so, you can walk and sleep peacefully. I strongly recommend this place. The host was kind. Thank you and I hope return with more guests to your Farm!!!

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay as it was the best parts of camping without any of the bad. Saturday pizza night was so yummy and we had a farm tour right before which was very fun. The power bank that was provided did die after a couple of hours so do plan accordingly. I assume it was just new and wasn’t charged fully before being given to us though. Would stay again:)

I loved the community and feeling of the farm and the tent was so cozy and fun. My stepdaughter had a ball on the farm tour feeding the baby goats. Pizza night was 💯 Thank you, Sam and fam, for a really delightful stay.

I had a wonderful stay at Dennis’s pond-side campsite! The location is peaceful - perfect for relaxing and reconnecting with nature. I caught a few fish right from the shore and spent time just enjoying the wildlife and beautiful sunsets. Dennis is a great host—friendly, welcoming, and helpful without being intrusive. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with a bit of fishing, fresh air, and natural beauty, this spot is a gem. Highly recommend!

Staying at Hungry world farms was a completely rejuvenating experience. I stayed in the Garden View Yurt with my girlfriend over the weekend and it was a wonderful time. The Yurt has a comfy bed, outlets, a couch, fans, and even a heater. It felt luxurious but still connected to nature. Sam is the executive director and is an amazing guy! We received a wonderful tour of their regenerative farming, through explanations of why it works, goat cuddles and a truly fun sunset hike. We will definitely be returning to check out more things and possibly even volunteer. 100/10 would recommend :)

We ❤️ Hungry World Farm! Sam is a fantastic host and the land is beautiful. We enjoyed the farm and playing with the animals. Only 40 minutes from Starved Rock as well.

Nice cabin, very clean, very secluded. We enjoyed listening to all of the different birds while making meals on the excellent firepit. Definitely check out the hiking trails and of course, the goats and other animals were wonderful.

We loved tent camping at Hungry World Farms! The land was beautiful and everyone was very friendly. I could not recommend the tour more, we learned so much and love seeing the animals. The wood fired pizza was so delicious. We will definitely come back to see all of the changes and upgrades Sam is putting into the farm!

We have nothing but good things to say about our overnight getaway to Hungry World Farm. We got to stay hi to the animals (including playing with all the adorable baby goats), enjoyed a foot bath in the creek, watched the sunset over the ridge while we cooked dinner on the campfire, and awoke dry and cozy to rain pitter pattering on the tent in the morning. The electric and mini fridge helped add ease to our quick weekend away. Bathrooms were clean and a short walk from the campsite.

Loved our stay in the heated tent, which was tucked away in the trees on a ridge where we could easily enjoy the sunset. We enjoyed the trails, observing the farm and the fresh eggs. Everything needed was provided for an easy stay.

I grew up on a farm and thrilled to be enjoying country living once again! We are not annual campground, but we have space on the property for travelers needing an overnight or two. We can be found on HIPCAMP listed under OLD RUGGED BARN. We are in central IL near Historic Rt 66, minutes north of Bloomington-Normal with easy access from I-55. The property is a small 3.5 Acre farmstead that includes our event venue, space that can used for campers, and my home. We offer space for Campers through Hipcamp. We are NOT a campground per se. We do have space on our property to comfortably accommodate up to 8 spaces for Overnight guests. I moved to the farm in 2010 with the intent to simply enjoy the peace And quiet of country living. Then I realized we Could create a place that could serve as a place for community to gather for special events. We are making constant strides to utilize Our 3.5 acres highlighted by the Old Rugged Barn venue and welcome the opportunity to host any kind of public and private event! The Old Rugged Barn..... where happy happens!!
