For those not ready to take on such a rustic sleeping arrangement, we have a camper available for rent that sleeps up to 5 people. Or you can bring your own. Come have a meal cooked over the open fire. Bake bread or cookies, you can even mill your own wheat! Our wheat has been in the family for generations, and we've been told is the softest and tastiest bread around (try it with our homemade apple butter!) Take a ride on our customized wagon. Our Amish farm is nestled in the heart of Amish Country, Douglas County Illinois. We're located just 45 min. from Champaign & Decatur,
5 minutes from the Aikman Wildlife Adventure & 35 min. from the fishing spots & walking trails at Walnut Point State Park. Relax in our quiet lodging right here on the farm where you'll see horses, goats & chickens. For an additional fee, we're happy to offer Amish buggy rides & wagon rides for our guests.
The camper is 28 feet with a 12 foot tip-out. It has one bedroom with a king size bed, and another with a double bed. In the common area there's a sleeper sofa. There's a bathroom with shower in the camper and another bathroom with shower about a 1 min. walk in a separate building.
Our farm is just a 5 min. drive from the Great Pumpkin Patch, Yoder's Country Kitchen and various Amish owned shops. Beautiful Lake Shelbyville is a 35 minute drive. We are about a 45 min. drive from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and 35 min. from Eastern Illinois University.
This Amish owned camper doesn't have Wifi (TV only plays DVD's). Depending on your phone carrier & plan, you shouldn't have any problem getting cell phone service & internet on your phone. It may be possible to funnel the internet from your phone to your phone to your laptop using a "personal hotspot".

We had a great time camping at Green Meadow Farm with our two dogs. Merle was communicative and very accommodating. The farm was easy to find just outside of town and a beautiful spot, with horses, cats, and sheep around. It was peaceful and lovely to wake up to the sunrise across the fields. Very nice bathroom and shower facilities available. Anytime we return to the Arthur area we will definitely be giving Merle a call. We really enjoyed our stay!

Weekend Trip to Willenborg Woods
everything from our weekend trip was a 11/10. Rebecca and Craig were the best hosts! it was the a great off the grid weekend surrounded by the most beautiful landscape and easy to navigate hiking trails. felt like being in the middle of no where without being in the middle of no where. we cooked all our meals by the fire and were giving coffee, pastry, and eggs saturday morning :) we’re already plotting when we can come back!!

Our entire weekend was made better not only because of the gorgeous and expansive property but also because of the incredibly helpful and friendly hosts! The trail system here is upkept very well and is easy to navigate with minimal effort. The property has a little bit of everything (creeks, hills, forest, etc.) and a weekend wasn’t nearly enough to see it all. Waking up to hot coffee and fresh eggs outside the cabin was an unexpected delight! We came for a calm, peaceful weekend and that is what we got. We will be coming back one day and you should too!

Weekend Trip to Willenborg Woods
This place is amazing! I have zero complaints! We had everything we needed and more, all in the middle of secluded woods. We stayed in the teardrop trailer and loved the comfort of kitchen, fridge, shower, bathroom, AC, etc. the beds were comfy and so many included supplies. Farm fresh eggs, bread, and coffee were delivered each morning. The hosts Becca and Craig are incredible people who really care about you and your experience. They were so responsive, kind and helpful. They delivered xtra firewood and even gave us a ride down to the river and to see the riverfront A frame rental, which I definitely want to rent next time. The grounds were well kept, with bathrooms available and an outdoor shower for those not staying in the teardrop trailer to still have a bathroom and shower. Subtle touches like flowers planted, picnic tables, stacked rocks, tiki torches, and more made it feel xtra special and inviting. We loved the chickens roaming the property and coming to visit. Becca the host is a rockstar! Such an amazing person with so much life experience, humble, minimalist, accepting and full of positive energy. I can’t wait to come back!

Becca and Craig were the most amazing hosts. When we were dropped off at our site, it felt like making new friends. We had such a wonderful stay at the A-Frame! The setting was peaceful and private, with beautiful river access just steps away. Our hosts were incredibly gracious and thoughtful, even arranging a kayak ride on the river that became a highlight (despite low water levels) of our trip. Breakfast each morning was a perfect touch and made us feel so welcomed. At night, we fell asleep to the calming sounds of nature all around us—a truly relaxing experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the outdoors with the comfort of warm hospitality. When we left on Sunday, it was like visiting old friends. This site has everything you can want. Additionally, in our excitement to continue chatting with Becca as we were leaving, we left quite a few things behind! She was SO generous enough to mail it (washed and folded) back to us. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

We had the best time camping at this hidden little gem! My sons are bmx riders who have taken up mountain biking. The location had tons of trails for us to explore. The host was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The camper was the perfect size for us and included everything we needed like linens, dishes, fridge, gas stove, sink, toilet, AC, two beds, television. Would definitely book it again in the future. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed staying at Bella Vita Resort! It’s an up and coming spot so it wasn't crowded, At one point we had the entire lake to ourselves which was amazing. If you’re looking to fish, swim and relax then this place is perfect. We’ll definitely be back!

Took my son here for a weekend fishing trip right next to the dock on the island campsites. Very peaceful place to camp for a few days. Rented a boat for the lake one of the days and spent time fishing on the lake. There are plenty fish to be seen but we unfortunately did not catch any. But they are there. Although we were there on a Sunday to Tues they were closed to the public but still made sure to take care of us if we needed anything which was cool. They opened up mini golf so me and my son could get in a game of mini golf together which was nice. It was nice having the place to ourselves those few days aside of an occasional fisher.

My husband & I live in the city & wanted a peaceful weekend in the woods. The A Frame cabin was super cute & clean. Its placed along a river. We enjoyed watching the water turtles, giant birds & even saw a baby deer. We spent the afternoon walking the trails with our 3 dogs & watching the moon & stars with our telescope at night. The host was very nice & provided firewood & water. The cabin has an outhouse but its also very clean.

Weekend Trip to Willenborg Woods
From the moment we arrived it was clear that we were in for something special. Nestled among towering trees and serenaded by the gentle hum of nature. This camping trip was everything we had hoped for and more. The camp site was impeccably, maintain and spacious with stunning views of the river and surrounding forest. We loved the morning gift basket, full of eggs, warm bread, and coffee made the start of our day even more spectacular. This camping trip allowed us to unplug recharge and connect with nature and with each other. Whether you are a seasoned camper or trying it out for the first time I couldn’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely come back in the fall season!
