If you are looking for quiet, privacy, stars, wildlife and adventure, you’re in the right place. Sleeping arrangements comfortably accommodate up to five guests with one bunk bed and a futon. Bring your own bedding and pillows based on the season. We recommend zero degree sleeping bags in winter and lightweight bedding in summer. Towels are not provided. There is no running water and no shower. We provide fresh five gallon drinking water jugs and a clean private porta potty. There is a sink inside for washing dishes. The yurt is heated and cooled with a mini split system. We do not provide firewood for the wood stove or firepit. Firewood can be purchased locally in Crouch or Garden Valley. There is interior lighting but no exterior lighting, so bring headlamps or flashlights for nighttime use. Cooking amenities include a two burner propane stove with cast iron griddle, a private deck with propane grill, and a fully stocked cooking setup including dishes, utensils, spices and olive oil. The yurt is accessed by a short walk from the parking area and terrain may be uneven, muddy, snowy or icy depending on weather. In winter, AWD or 4WD with winter tires or chains is required. We live on the property but respect your privacy completely. You will not see us unless you request assistance. The yurt was erected in 2022 and in 2023 we added all the rooms and beautiful woodwork inside. It is on a Kiln Dried Tongue and Groove decking. Yurts are designed to withstand cold winters and this one is no exception. Temperature Control: The decking is insulated underneath to help with the cold winters. When the sun is out on a warm day the yurt will heat up nicely through the dome and can be cooled by opening the windows, the dome, and running the ceiling fan. Also keeping the outside windows up keeps the heat out if you get to hot. the yurt is equipped with a mini-split w/remoted, allowing personalized temperature control. Kitchen: We have everything you need to cook a meal at your home away from home. Refrigerator w/freezer, 2 burner cooktop, microwave, Keurig, and toaster oven. Have all the basics from napkins, plates, silverware, cooking supplies, spices, flour, sugar etc. Don’t feel like cooking then head down to the local bar & restaurant for a nice meal, drink, and meet some locals. Living Room: Inside is a quaint living area with a couch where guests can gather, unwind, and enjoy the yurt!. There is no TV but feel free to use the wireless internet for your own devices. Great place, mama kitty gave us a great warm welcome and even spent the night with us in the tipi. They do have a propane heater for the tipi but you have to light it with a lighter so keep that in mind for cold nights! (We didn’t bring a lighter and wished we did because it got pretty cold)

Spot was a beautiful little oasis in the middle of Idaho plains. Was so cool to be nestled in farmland next to a streamer and actual green grass. Tyler went above and beyond to accommodate me and when we did get a chance to meet he was genuine, kind and gave me tomatoes and an onion from his garden! Cute, safe spot for a quick overnight stop. No issues finding the location and setting up on the designated tent spot. We were able to squeeze a 4 person and a 2 person tent on the ‘designated’ established site. Super clean bathroom. Host was very respectful and courteous. Other reviews say the highway noise wasn’t noticeable but it was for us. Still didn’t take away from our experience.

Great spot! Good views of the city and the sunrise, with clear stars at night. It looks close to the interstate on the map, but because the site is on the other side of the tower hill, I could barely hear any traffic out there. Our first night there it was windy, so bring stakes for your tent (we did and had no issues), and the second night was very peaceful. Tyler was a good host and made sure we were set up for success.
