Trapper's used the area until the U.S. market collapse of the beaver skin top-hat in the late 1830's. Mormon pioneers began settling here in the 1890's. My great-grandparents settled in Teton Valley after moving from Nebraska in 1917. They farmed this land; growing potatoes, barley and hay. Today we raise alfalfa/grass hay that we feed to our horses. Just south of its older brother, this land spans Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho, and is a crucial spot for supporting caribou populations. None of the animals here are bashful: bison, moose, deer, mountain lions, falcons, elk, and even black bears abound! Beautiful to snap shot from a distance. Just south of the forest, Bear Lake is a fun spot to take a dip after you hike one of Caribou’s dozens of peaks (Mead Peak and Hawks Peak have gorgeous views, as does Big Elk Mountain at the northern tip of the park). At the south end, you’ll find campgrounds, fast flowing creeks, and the Minnetonka Cave at St. Charles Canyon. What an awesome spot! Joy is a phenomenal host—communicative, welcoming, and has great energy. A little rain and cloud did little to dampen the experience, which was highlighted by a nice long sweat in the sauna (a MUST) and a brief but invigorating dip in the cold plunge. Shoutout to a couple of friendly four legged friends, who I also had the great fortune to meet. While I didn’t get to experience the epic sunrise over the Tetons due to an early departure, this was easily remedied by a quick journey back over the pass to the national park (another must!). This was my first, but certainly not my last stay!!

I loved this cozy cabin!! It had everything my dog and I needed to get a good night’s rest before we set off for our hike. Instructions to check in were very simple and it was easy to find even though I got there pretty late at night. Would definitely stay here again.

The yurt was really nice and had two single beds / one queen sized bed- it could definitely house an average family. It was clean and comfortable, with a nice covered outdoor patio area, and access to full bathroom / shower facilities. Would highly recommend; great value for the price!

3 nights at Hover Campground in Swan Valley!

The cabin was cozy, bed was comfy, and bathroom worked well. Used the A/C because we couldn't open the two windows up front, which restricted a beautiful, cool airflow. No toaster. No utensils. All bedding was there and clean. Hosts were friendly and a good resource if local information. Price was right! We would stay there again.

Great site for exploring Teton National Park! The site was well-leveled with gravel. We loved having a picnic bench—not just for meals, but also for tying up the dogs. We enjoyed being the only camper, and of course, nothing beats having water and electricity onsite. :) K’Lea was super communicative and checked in a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. Victor is a cute town with everything you need to stick around for a few days. Highly recommended!

I stayed here with my dog while attending a concert in Jackson, WY. Quiet, serene location. Beautiful scenery. The cabin was cute and stocked with towels, basic toiletries, and a few disposable kitchen utensils. The cabin was cozy with comfortable beds. I utilized the TV, refrigerator and coffee machine with no issues. We enjoyed spending time relaxing on the porch. We would definitely stay again!

Weekend Trip to walking distance Down Town Driggs

This was hands down one of the best camping spots we’ve stayed at! Claudia’s land is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and the amenities were top-notch. The location made it easy to enjoy both quiet relaxation and quick access to downtown for exploring. Even though we didn’t get to chat much with Claudia, the thought and care she put into this place really showed. It felt like a perfect retreat and we left feeling refreshed and grateful. Highly recommend this spot, we’d love to come back!

Weekend Trip to Hover Campground in Swan Valley!

We absolutely loved our stay at this adorable cabin in Swan Valley! The cabin itself was so cute and cozy, and the AC was a lifesaver after being out in the summer sun. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The whole campground was beautifully kept, peaceful, and had such a charming atmosphere. It truly felt like the perfect little getaway spot. We will definitely be coming back again~ we loved it so much! :)

4 nights at The Aspen Grove Inn at Heise Bridge

The grounds were extremely well maintained, beautifully decorated and lovingly tended to! The place had a lot of extra nice touches and amenities that made one of a kind. Staff was helpful and made sure we always had what we needed. I will say, the service is extremely spotty, especially depending on your phone carrier and there is no WIFI. For safety reasons this is something I wish we had access to as the site was in a pretty rural area.
