We are 5 miles east, outside Pocatello, Idaho at 5900' elevation. We are on 5 acres next to public lands (BLM) We have trees and some flat ground. Great accsess to mountain biking, hiking and ski turing. There are some springs within walking distance & beaver ponds just up the road. In summer you can jump on (or sleep out under the stars on the trampoline and cook over a fire. We have accsess to many miles of MTB trails. Bristol is bordered by the Portneuf River to the North and Mt Moh to the South, offering river access and a host of trails. Fishing in the river is great, boasting rainbow, cut throat, brook and brown trout. There's also a few great swimming holes right below the property, including a 15 ft. waterfall. Guests may hike trails to the old mines, or be directed to a plethora of trails for biking nearby. The setting at Bristol is uniquely peaceful for the busy tourist town of Lava Hot Springs. Although still technically within city limits, the place offers an atmosphere of it's own, seemingly outside of time. Once a miners camp and stage coach stop along the Oregon Trail, we have worked hard to maintain the buildings and grounds. With an abundance of trees, (bonus if you can name all varieties) the main compound is well shaded through the hot summer months. Our single room, quaint cabins have a shared bathroom with showers and towels available. We are a minutes walk from the hot springs and downtown, so no need to fight for a parking spot!

The property is absolutely beautiful. We rolled up just in time for an epic sunset. The yurt is cozy and warm, thanks to the propane fireplace and charming decor. Even the kitchen sink and outhouse are ingenious and adorable. The guidebook to the yurt was so cute and informative--our daughter enjoyed flipping through the handwritten and drawn pages. It's clear that a lot of love went into this space. We'd definitely stay here again!

I love love love this spot. I decided to do a road trip instead of fly to my destination just so I could stop here and stay overnight. The site at the top where they are building a glamping type dome is just gorgeous. 360 views. Last fall I stayed here with my dog, and I have since lost him to cancer so this trip was a bit of a memorial. I remember him joyfully running around and exploring as the sun set on the mountains. Definitely recommend if your goal is privacy, beauty, and plenty of space.

First time staying in an RV Park. I liked the little cabin. It's a little humid inside the cabin in summer but we had a box fan that helped a little. The park has doggy play areas, playground for the kids, chess and basketball. The bathroom was very clean with warm showers. The pool was clean and everything seemed to be taken care of and clean. The little shop has some food and gifts. Everyone we met employees and guests were very nice. The little food truck has some yummy chicken tenders and onion rings. The food truck employees were also very nice.
