1 night at Mini Acres Farm

If you are looking for a peaceful place that’s not too awfully far from civilization then this is the place. Camper was clean as was the property. Super nice people and even two dogs that are happy to see you and give and get some love. Lots of quail spotted in addition to the chickens and ducks on property. Birds roost at dark so all was quiet keeping with the peaceful theme. It’s a camper and not a honeymoon suite so as long as you are in tune with that you will enjoy your time with Ron and his wife on their mini farm.

Weekend Trip to Mini Acres Farm

Mini Acres Farm is a beautiful spot and the Guest House is super clean and surprisingly spacious. The main bed was very comfortable. The other bed however would only work for someone very small. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend a stay.

1 night at Micone Ranch

I needed a place to park my trailer after a long day of driving preferably with electric hook up. This spot was perfect. Right off freeway. A little bit of afternoon shade and quiet. Good communication and friendly.

2 nights at Little Creek Campground

Parking is in a dirt backyard next to a cornfield, which I thought was neat. It looks like they were in the process of planting new trees to add shade. There is a large common grass area with a fire pit that can be shared with other campers. They have a bathroom in a shed. That may sound off-putting, but it was very clean, nice, and unique!! Also, without hook-ups, it was convenient to have a bathroom on site. We were in the area to visit friends so we didn't spend a lot of time at the site during the day. It was quiet and peaceful at night. Kimberly made sure to call and check in on us after we arrived. She was super friendly.

1 night at Micone Ranch

Great for small groups. Easy access to the bathroom and shower. Goats were friendly and enjoyed feeding time, though the babies had other interests. Being a ranch, flies are ever present, I would highly recommend an electronic fly scatter for tent camping. The pigs and chickens stayed pretty quiet, and their duck was constantly patrolling the property. If I pass through again I'll definitely stay here if its available.

Wir haben die Ranch gut gefunden. Die Zufahrt war für unseren großen Camper eine Herausforderung, die wir aber gut gemeistert haben. Der Stellplatz war oberhalb des Hauses. Anfangs war noch die Autobahn gut zu hören. Tamara war eine sehr nette Gastgeberin.

Great place to camp! It was so wonderful to see all the birds (red wing black birds, quails, magpie, etc) in such a comfortable space. Tamara was so responsive to messages, kind and communicative. I truly appreciate her opening her space to us, as well as the chats. Feeding the goats and saying hello to all the animals was such a joy. Hello, Cheese (the duck)! The flush toilet is only available when the hosts are home, since (currently), it leads into their house. I know Tamara said that is something they plan on improving in the future, so this may be out of date quickly! The shower is supplied with towels, soap and hair wash. Would absolutely recommend!!

No issues whatsoever camping here. Easy to find, easy access to a bathroom, easy communication with host, and nice and quiet at night. All in all, a great experience.

This pla e is really nice, the house has the old southern house vive with big trees, Kim is a great host, she tried to accommodate all my needs, the driveway down to the house it's gravel but really very easy , I've made it with my 28ft trailer. You can use the firepit, she has smores ready to go. I would totally recomand the place. Also super close with Caldwell downtown, that is cute with great places to eat.

1 night at Little Creek Campground

Just a small, quiet campground which has had a lot of improvements from the previous year. We loved our stay last time and throughly enjoyed staying here again. The owner was not in town so we were greeted by her friend who was house sitting. She was super cool and gave us several recommendations of restaurants in the area. I was not cooking after our long day of travel!! I really enjoyed waking up to the sounds of the birds and fresh country air verses the road noise when we have to stop at a Cracker barrel or rest stop. We will definitely come here again, next time we are traveling through. This place is close to I 84 so very easy to get to.

This place is great fun, clean and just a walk everywhere. Hospitality was great!

Weekend Trip to Micone Ranch

Stopped over in the dark and found easy directions to a private hill. Paid for two vehicles. Nice and quiet, then we left at dawn to continue south. Perfect place to stop. Beautiful sunrise from here. I hope to arrive earlier next time. Would have loved to feed the goats.

Great place to stay for the night. Lot's of chickens with for or so beautiful roosters. Nice gazebo fire pit area. The beef we bought was great. Be sure to eat at the Irish restaurant in Ontario very good homemade food.

Hello. My name is Tamara and my husband is Andy. We bought this place in 2022 with the goal of raising animals humanely and providing good food options to purchase at reasonable prices. After moving to Ontario I noticed there are not many good options for nighttime sleep. I fondly remember camping with our kids in a location we named Neverland. We decided we wanted to create that for people. That’s why we joined Hipcamp. We have several sites that range from close to the house and bathroom access to remote in a field with the sounds of the creek to lull you to sleep. To increase safety and aid in positive memory making, only one group is allowed at a time. We have lots of space so whether you are a lone traveler, a family, or a group of friends looking to make memories consider staying with us and our animals. We generally have goats, chickens, and pigs. From July to October we have pheasants. Oh, and we have Cheese, our patrol duck, who wanders and keeps an eye on everything. He loves treats. Look us up on Facebook under Micone Ranch. Our driveway is immediately off Ontario Heights Rd. Google tells people to turn on Grand View Lane. There is no access to our property from that direction. We have a 300-gallon trash bin next to our mailbox that says camp host. Our driveway is immediately across the road from there. The bridge at the entrance to our property is 11' wide, which should allow a standard 8' RV to pass into the property. RV hook up is right off the driveway by the power pole. Ground is in its native form and only gets minimal rain. Some weeds and goatheads may be present. A small, creek runs through the front of the property year-round. Water is clearer during the winter and spring months. The spots I have cleared in this area are small. I recommend tent camping in this area. It is densely wooded. We have goats in this field; they are shy. We have goat treats available for sale if you would like to feed them. Oregon has an invasive, poisonous weed called Water hemlock. If you camp in this area, familiarize yourself with this plant so you can avoid it. Camping areas have been cleared of this plant. If you wander along the creek, you will encounter it.

Yurts are designed to withstand cold winters and this one is no exception. Temperature Control: The decking is insulated underneath to help with the cold winters. When the sun is out on a warm day the yurt will heat up nicely through the dome and can be cooled by opening the windows, the dome, and running the ceiling fan. Also keeping the outside windows up keeps the heat out if you get to hot. the yurt is equipped with a mini-split w/remoted, allowing personalized temperature control. Kitchen: We have everything you need to cook a meal at your home away from home. Refrigerator w/freezer, 2 burner cooktop, microwave, Keurig, and toaster oven. Have all the basics from napkins, plates, silverware, cooking supplies, spices, flour, sugar etc. Don’t feel like cooking then head down to the local bar & restaurant for a nice meal, drink, and meet some locals. Living Room: Inside is a quaint living area with a couch where guests can gather, unwind, and enjoy the yurt!. There is no TV but feel free to use the wireless internet for your own devices.
