As all the land here is born of lava, many moons ago this land began to host plants and critters. Long after, it was sculpted and a number of families and farmers have contributed to what we have today. An abundance of fruit and vegetables within sight of the ocean. Peaceful breezes and warming sun make for unparalleled tranquility. Today the land still gives back to its visitors. Come recharge. As this is agricultural lands, there are many critters. Dogs, chickens, pheasants, peacock, mongoose, and many birds. Tge invasive coqui frog is annoying to some and calming to others. The micro climate here swings from warm and dry to wet quickly. Best to always prepare for rain. There is snorkeling, beaches, local food, Cafe, BBQ, poke, fish-n-chips, grocery, Sunday farmers market and hiking nearby. It is peaceful here, but also an active farming community. As an organic farm, we put alot of effort into soil building and as such, there are soft places that will be damaged by the weight of a vehicle. Staying on the driveway is best. We will guide you to where you need to go. Our road is paved, but bumpy. Any vehicle will make it without damage if driven slowly. 1 to 4mph tops. *Be sure to avoid the camper rental companies that restrict certain roads. Aloha and have a great day.

We have a hidden exotic fruit orchard tucked away through rolling green hills, perched over the Hamakua cliffs, overlooking the pacific. We sell our fruits ripe and cut ready to eat at our roadside fruit stand, open 10-6 daily including holidays! We serve local fresh juices and machete open coconuts to drink ice cold. We grow mango, durian, lilikoi, star fruit, chocolate sapote, buddhas hand citrus, finger limes, tangerines and tangelos, jackfruit, tree grapes, mangosteen, white pineapples, mountain apples, berries, spices and much more. We are home to dozens of rescue animals, many who came from Puna during the 2018 lava flow. Meet peaceful sheep, lambs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese and a lovable pet pig. Not to mention our friendly farm cats. We are a community of a few passionate farmers and fruit lovers. We offer a secluded, private parking area located at the foot of Mauna Loa in an agricultural region on the Big Island of Hawaii. The property features sweeping ocean views with beautiful sunrises and sunsets overlooking the Pacific Ocean, South Point, and Pohue Bay. There are no streetlights in the area and minimal lighting on the property, making it very dark at night — perfect for stargazing. We are ideally located on the southwest side of the Big Island, about 50 miles from Kailua–Kona and 50 miles from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Just two blocks south of the main highway (Hawaii Belt Road), our large gated lot in Ocean View Ranchos is the perfect campervan staging area for popular destinations on the east, south, and west sides of the island. It’s a short drive to Punaluʻu Bake Shop, Black Sands Beach, South Point (the southernmost point in the U.S.), and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, home to one of the most active volcanoes on the planet, Kīlauea — only an hour away. We know firsthand how difficult it can be to secure safe overnight parking, as the State of Hawaii doesn’t allow it on public roadways. This is no-frills overnight parking. Breathtaking views! The best bathroom and the kindest host. Something to note is that the site is right by the house if you don’t mind. Overall one of the most beautiful remote site! (Don’t drive down to the lower part of the property like me, volcanic rocks are no joke on an incline)

Nice private camp area behind locked gate. Careful there is a lot of broken glass as you drive past the gate towards the campsite, I cleaned up a lot but the more I cleaned up the more I found. The code to the gate was wrong on the directions - luckily there was a worker at the fruit stand that gave me the right one. Tried to get a hold of the host regarding wifi but took over a day - called twice, WhatsApp, text - she finally responded to a text. Nice place to unwind and not have anyone bother you.

Bumpy road up for us in a sprinter van but slow and steady made it happen no problem. Colin was available and super helpful navigating us up and even telling us the best way to park our large van. Susan stopped by to quickly tell us about the critters and plants nearby which was fun to learn about. The toilets were not available as they hadn't been serviced so ask ahead if that’s a need for your stay. Overall a peaceful stay. Thanks Colin and Susan!

We camped in our campervan and it was easy parking, quiet and level. Make sure you communicate with the camp before getting there as we didn’t have cell service once there and the starlink did not show up on our phones. Also make sure you screen shot the route or download your map app.

Lovely and peaceful spot! Unfortunately we couldn’t make it before dark so had a hard time navigating to the place and within the grounds. But once we got settled we were amazed by the Milky Way view - best stars I’ve seen in a long time! The sheep gave us a very friendly greeting & we thoroughly enjoyed the fruit stand offerings. Def recommend it for a basic and peaceful camping experience!

A somewhat dusty but otherwise lovely spot in the middle of nowhere. Well maintained port-o-potty. Curious sheep under a spectacular milky-way night sky, shooting stars included. We got free fresh fruit in the morning. Thanks! :)

Eddie’s place rocks! Giant lava rock mountains everywhere. He has a spot for RVs and vans to park and sleep—it looks out over the ocean. It’s so quiet here and there’s a lot to take in. We had an especially interesting stay since it was the evening of a tsunami warning. Eddie reassured us we were safe at 1400 feet and let us borrow his binoculars :) nice bathroom, two sweet dogs, just a really great evening exploring the lava terrain and looking out at the island below. Cool rainbow eucalyptus in the driveway! Eddie’s place forever!

Rose and Family were very nice and accommodating, making it very easy to find. It felt very safe and secure there. Her beautiful land and Fruit Stand were the real stars of the show!!! We woke to a deeply beautiful landscape with sheep roaming close by, who grazed pleasantly close to us during our breakfast; and afterwards we partook of her very tasty Fruit Stand!!! Definitely recommend both the chilled coconut and the fresh squeezed sugar-came and ginger juice!!!
