Waimanalo Farmstay

5 sites · Lodging, RVs5 acres · Kailua, HI
This is a breathtaking space that our family has poured many decades and multiple generations into. We are surrounded by jungle, with a freshwater stream running through the entire property and unobstructed mountain views. You are welcome to explore the grounds and enjoy the land. Chickens roam freely, with the occasional pig sightings in the evening. We do have a fair bit of bugs and geckos. If you’re especially sensitive to mosquitos, this might not be the place for you! Waimanalo is a small agricultural town filled with nurseries, horse stables, and a high concentration of Hawaiian homes. It remains mostly undeveloped and authentic, and we aim to keep it that way. While nestled against the mountains, we're just a five minute drive from the beach. We are fifteen minutes from Kailua town, where you'll find several grocery stores, shops, and restaurants. There are so many great beach and land activities nearby, and I'm happy to lead you in the direction of whatever you might be interested in! We are very protective of this land and town, but would love to share the space with respectful travelers looking for an authentic experience. While we are very hospitable, we are not in the business of hospitality. This is a working farm. I am happy to accommodate travelers, but I am not here at your beck and call. If that is the experience you are seeking, I think you would be happier elsewhere. We appreciate all of your bookings, and profits go directly back into farm infrastructure and new fruit trees. Thank you for looking!

Beautiful And Peaceful Farm Cabinas

3 sites · Lodging5 acres · Waialua, HI
Our sweet permaculture syntropic teaching farm has gorgeous mountain views and open space, feeling like you are away from it all but still just minutes from Haleiwa town and the incredible beaches of the north shore. The cabina we have created is a tiny oasis of calm, designed so you can feel like you're outside with big windows and lots of light while sleeping on a super comfy bed with soft hotel sheets. Sleeps 1-2 people with space for your stuff and a small deck to sip morning coffee and watch the birds in our beautiful fruit orchard. There is a shared common area with a glamping style kitchen, living room and outdoor seating area. Outdoor hot and cold shower and an off-grid incinerator toilet. These common spaces will be shared with 1-4 others depending on who is working at the farm at any time. Our farm is for people who love nature and live a relaxed, healthy lifestyle. It is a sacred and special place that we steward with deep love and care. No parties or late night loud noise. Come here to unwind, slow down, watch sunrise and sunset and let your nervous system reset. Nearby beaches in Haleiwa, Mokuleia, Waimea Bay and Sunset beach are great for swimming or snorkeling in summer and incredible world-class surf in the winter. If you love being close to nature, quiet open spaces and simple living, you will treasure being on this sacred and special land.

Hawaiian Green Farm Hale

1 site · Lodging5 acres · Waialua, HI
Peaceful, beautiful, modern farm designed 'Hawaii Farm Green Hale.' Salvaged from Demo, we moved this adorable 2 bedroom, old plantation home to our farm. We brought it to bones, then reconstructed it with love and aloha. Placed it on legs for the perfect view of Mount Ka’ala. Set in the middle of our orchard. We call her the green house as we used green through the interior to connect the inside to all the trees that surround the house. Feels like you are in a treehouse. With many windows and double French doors that open to an expansive covered deck, it’s a very special house. We are surrounded by birds and chickens, owls, and a few neighborhoods cats. But the king of our castle is Smokey, our beautiful grey cat. Who is an outside cat but comes and visits. Master bedroom is furnished with a Cal King bed. 2nd bedroom has a single bed and desk. Living room has a Hawaiian style Queen day bed called a punee. Max 4 people. Open kitchen, large front deck. Take a soak in our clawfoot tub on our deck that looks at the mountains. Outside dining table for 8. Another queen size punee on deck. Washer and dryer In laundry closet on deck. In a farm private gated community. Rural farm area of Waialua. Come stay on a private, safe, beautiful working farm in the beautiful old Hawaiian neighborhood of Waialua on the historic North Shore of Oahu. 35 min from the airport, 5 minutes to Haleiwa. 5 minutes to Haleiwa Ali’i Beach park, Mokuleia, and to the 7 mile miracle of surf spots and beaches.
