As all the land here is born of lava, many moons ago this land began to host plants and critters. Long after, it was sculpted and a number of families and farmers have contributed to what we have today. An abundance of fruit and vegetables within sight of the ocean. Peaceful breezes and warming sun make for unparalleled tranquility. Today the land still gives back to its visitors. Come recharge. As this is agricultural lands, there are many critters. Dogs, chickens, pheasants, peacock, mongoose, and many birds. Tge invasive coqui frog is annoying to some and calming to others. The micro climate here swings from warm and dry to wet quickly. Best to always prepare for rain. There is snorkeling, beaches, local food, Cafe, BBQ, poke, fish-n-chips, grocery, Sunday farmers market and hiking nearby. It is peaceful here, but also an active farming community. As an organic farm, we put alot of effort into soil building and as such, there are soft places that will be damaged by the weight of a vehicle. Staying on the driveway is best. We will guide you to where you need to go. Our road is paved, but bumpy. Any vehicle will make it without damage if driven slowly. 1 to 4mph tops. *Be sure to avoid the camper rental companies that restrict certain roads. Aloha and have a great day.

We have a hidden exotic fruit orchard tucked away through rolling green hills, perched over the Hamakua cliffs, overlooking the pacific. We sell our fruits ripe and cut ready to eat at our roadside fruit stand, open 11-6 daily including holidays! We serve local fresh juices and machete open coconuts to drink ice cold. We grow mango, durian, lilikoi, star fruit, chocolate sapote, buddhas hand citrus, finger limes, tangerines and tangelos, jackfruit, tree grapes, mangosteen, white pineapples, mountain apples, berries, spices and much more. We are home to dozens of rescue animals, many who came from Puna during the 2018 lava flow. We have peaceful sheep, lambs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese and a lovable pet pig. Not to mention our friendly farm cats. Our current camp sites are not in the fruit orchard, but in a rolling hills open pasture land near the fruit stand. It is rustic and pastoral. We are a community of a few passionate farmers and fruit lovers. Weekend Trip to Volcano National Park Orchard Camp

I made a last minute reservation when I decided I was done driving for the day and found myself nearby. I was able to connect with Adam right away, and he patiently explained how to find them. They were right off the highway, a few minutes down a rough road that I suspect is pretty normal by Hawaii standards! I had peace and quiet for car camping. One house off in the distance, a little traffic noise from the road but it faded in the evening. It was just what I needed! Thanks so much.

The meadow is soft for sleeping on and in the morning we could see the ocean in the distance. Lots of different plants and trees including a big tree that smells like cinnamon and sounds like a rain stick when the breeze blows. It is a long bumpy road but Colin will give good directions. There is a grocery store mall not far away for supplies (and rest rooms)

As per other reviews, this place is great. Peaceful and quiet. There were some wild pigs rummaging about at night but they weren't too disturbing and when we caught sight of them in the day we were excited to see them. The porta potty was fine. The campsites flat. Good all around.

Collin and his wife are living in a really nice place. There was a kind of jungle feeling up in the hills. The road is fine to drive, just drive slow and enjoy the nice plants. The toilet is nothing for picky girls but was near the ground. Go at night and your fine 😉

The property was undeveloped but that made it fairly private and more immersive. We saw a lot of birds, which we loved. Colin was very communicative which was helpful in finding our spot and enjoying our time there. If you’re looking for a spot to just sleep for a night, this is a great choice! But if you want more amenities, it might be best to look elsewhere.

We had a beautiful view from our campervan parking pad. We arrived just at dark on a Christmas Eve. The drive in is well paved, though moderately bumpy. Because we caught some rain overnight, I was concerned about traction the next morning for our departure. The pad and driveway presented no problem. We were a close distance to a fire ring and porta potty. The restroom was very clean.

Weekend Trip to Ohia Hale

This is nice land to stay on, if you’re lucky and the sky is clear at night the stars are unREAL. Colin was very responsive and helpful. It’s a bring your own everything type of place, but there is a portapotty that works just fine for what you need it for (hasn’t been serviced in a while but it was perfectly functional and not gross. There’s a beach with a shower not too far away so that’s helpful! There are pigs roaming around the shadows at night but none bothered us or came near our camp while we were outside. We really liked our stay and would stay again and recommend to folks that can handle the minimal amenities like we can. Thanks Colin!!

Bumpy road up for us in a sprinter van but slow and steady made it happen no problem. Colin was available and super helpful navigating us up and even telling us the best way to park our large van. Susan stopped by to quickly tell us about the critters and plants nearby which was fun to learn about. The toilets were not available as they hadn't been serviced so ask ahead if that’s a need for your stay. Overall a peaceful stay. Thanks Colin and Susan!

This was a great spot to camp! Easy to find with Colin’s directions. It was a very place to put down our tent and settle in for the two nights we spent there! We would absolutely back.
