A beautiful small farm where we homestead. We have a large garden, including raised beds, and raise everything organically. No pesticides. We raise miniature horses, miniature Highland and Highland cross cattle, Kune Kune and Kune Kune cross pigs, as well as chickens and geese. We have a lovely 1+ acre pond in front of the main house, which is fully stocked with Brim, Channel Catfish and Largemouth Bass. This pond has a wonderful ecosystem and is home to Kingfishers, wood ducks, Storks, herons, egrets, and is a place where a nesting pair of Bald Eagles come for water, and an occasional fish. We have an in-ground swimming pool, and a paddle boat to take out on the pond.
Whether you are looking for a quiet weekend get away, or a chance to experience farm life on a small homestead, this place has a lot to offer.
We offer a canning class, making artisan bread, and a hayride (tractor pulled) around the property. Breakfast and lunch or breakfast and Dinner can be included in the stay at an additional charge.
We have 2 large horses that can be fed carrots, loved on, petted, and the possibility of some riding.
Gathering eggs, feeding the hens and pigs, playing with Titan the farm mascot (our Great Dane dog), or just relaxing around the pool, or around a fire pit, there is always something happening on our little farm.
The lady of the house has her Serv Safe certification for preparing and serving food and has been a home chef for parties and catering for several years.

We had a wonderful stay at this rustic cabin this weekend! It was the perfect little getaway for our family. The cabin was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed being able to fish and relax right there at the property.
The peaceful setting was exactly what we were looking for, and it was great having the convenience of running water, AC, and a nearby bathhouse while still getting that fun camping/cabin experience. We had a great time and would definitely come back again! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly getaway!

Weekend Trip to Small Stuff Farm
This has to be the best property offered on Hipcamp. I have rented places through Hipcamp as well as other apps, and this is the best property and best experience yet. The hosts Loretta and Erik could not be more kind and welcoming. They live onsite, and will give you space and privacy when you want it…but will also quickly make you feel like an Important part of the household.
The property is first class.
You can meet the farm animals and experience farm life as much as you’d like.
Yet you can also lounge by the pool and swim, and feel like you’re at a 5-star resort.
Very unique.
Also check out the large pond for wildlife viewing and a paddle boat ride if you’d like.
The bedroom and private bathroom is really comfortable and they have every amenity you can think of.
And be sure to include Loretta’s home cooked meals when making your reservation.
They are delicious, made with ingredients straight from the farm you are staying on, and the fellowship with new friends is the best.
Your best bet is to arrive for check-in, and not leave the property until it’s time for check-out.
You will love every moment.

Weekend Trip to Cbo & Dana's Farm
I reserved an overnight cabin and had a great time! The view was incredibly beautiful and the lake was steps from the room -76)built into the dock. I was able to get in a kayak and fully immersed myself in the beauty of the lake. They were kind enough to help me in/out of the yak. The cabin and bathrooms were clean. I made a fire and a cute kitten came to visit. I am an adventurous, single female, and I felt very safe. I overslept and the host was kind enough not to make a big deal of it. I highly recommend and would revisit!

An amazing experience! The cabin was very clean and Tara thought of everything. There are instructions on how to use anything in the house and everything was very well stocked. Make sure to visit the sandbar if you stay at the cabin.

We were had a concrete pour construction site to film in Vidalia at 4am and coming from Warner Robins I didn't want to drive in so early and this was the perfect location not to far form I-16. I also run Paddle Board Georgia so when I seen this small cabin on the lake we got excited. The cabin was perfect place to set up all our camera equiptment and get everything fully charged for the morning. This place is so rare I don't think we will ever find a place to stay again that we can walk out the door and just get on the water and paddle board. We met the owner as well, super nice guy and he was excited to see what new photos we will be taking of his cabin and surrounding areas.

Group trip
We were on a road trip up the east coast and found this unique stop. The cabin was great! We cooked our meal on the grill and spent time on the boat and fishing from the dock. We had an excellent time at Dana’s cabin and would visit again if needed time away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We weren’t “campers” so we weren’t as prepared as we should be but Dana was able to help us with our fire and additional utensils need.

We absolutely LOVED this camp. We're a family of 5 (2 adults, kids 14yo, 12yo & 10yo) roadtripping across the States. The kids have all said this was our best stop yet. We spent 2 nights, Beds were comfortable & everything we needed. Bathroom & shower were lovely. We spent our time swimming, kyaking, laughing in the sun. Kids barely touched their devices which is awesome. Very private but Dana was close by if needed. Couldn't recommend this place more. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Me, my boyfriend, and two dogs absolutely loved this place. We spent 4 nights. Typically when I search Hipcamp I’m looking for quiet locations away from the loud city and usually active activities for me and pups to enjoy.
This place was cozy, and just what we wanted. Upon arrival we met host and received information on what was available where.
The grounds were clean and well kept, gorgeous lake, the porch/pier off the cabin was just the right size for lounging on at night to star gaze (excellent star gazing location). We fished with their provided fishing poles/equipment/lures. This was super fun because neither of us had fished since being kids and we even tried it from the kayaks.
The air conditioning kept it cool when it was upper nineties weather outside. My shepherd absolutely loved being able to run around off leash and be able to jump in the lake whenever he wanted. There is a nice path around the lake to explore. Also, the bathroom was clean and well lit.
They even have a covered outdoor shelter to hang outside under during the summer rains when you want to be outside.
We would love to come back here again. I highly recommend this place. The hosts are friendly yet give you privacy which is something I appreciate.

My boys and I had a great time. The moment we arrived they were in the water, and couple hours later were fishing. The next morning, they were up bright and early and it was a repeat of the same thing. Barely could make them stop long enough to eat and drink. The directions from hipcamp website was flawed but if you put the address in on Google maps it was easy. Once we got there it was good. The fishing was pretty good but the moss was pretty thick. We enjoyed it and will be back. Thanks for everything.

Weekend Trip to Opal Island Sandbar
This was by far one of the best stays. I have stayed in many vrbo and air b&b and there is usually ample supply but Tara and Daniel have thought of everything. It was raining hard when we arrived so we did not want to unpack but they had snacks and coffee there for us to make do until the rain let up and we could unpack. The property is very nice as well. We enjoyed a day on the sandbars relaxing. And at night the bedding was so comfortable. I will definitely be back.
