We raise Scottish Highland cattle, goats, sheep, and alpacas on 90 acres of reclaimed coal mine land. We are using the animals and permaculture techniques to repair this land to a vibrant, productive place. We also have ducks, beehives, gardens and a 2200 square foot hoop-house, and we homeschool 3 boys as well. Bird Fork Farm is a small regenerative farm located on 55 acres. Enjoy camping in one of the numerous spots in the beautiful pasture or pop into the woods to find the perfect hammock spot. With easy access, take a stroll through the orchard, woods, or pasture or venture to one of the numerous state parks nearby. Chattanooga is approximately 45 mins SE while McMinnville is about 30 mins NW. The Caverns, a wonderful music venue is about 40 mins away. Nashville is approximately 1hr 45mins NW.

Loved our time at Solace Farm! A very peaceful property with a wonderful agricultural operation going on. You can tell the family pours their hearts into what they do! We booked a "Junior Farm Tour" and enjoyed our time walking around the farm with the kids as we learned about the animals, gardens, etc. The Meadow Site has a great sunset view - secluded and peaceful!

First off big thank you to Chris the host. Chris was waiting for me to personally show me where the site was. The site was beautiful and so peaceful with nothing but perfect. It was very secluded and truly felt like no one was around. I was looking fir privacy and this site was it. Short little walk to the river that even has a swing for your enjoyment. Chris made sure my stay was perfect. Highly recommend.

Chris’s place was so much fun! The creek provided endless entertainment for the kids, and tranquil vibes for us all. The pine forest behind the camp was also the perfect place for our hammocks and many games of hide and seek. There was a fire ring at the campsite and plenty of soft grassy spots for our tents. We also had some of the fresh eggs in the morning that were delicious. We can’t wait to come back.

Chis’s campsite was absolutely incredible! The land felt so open and free, with wide spaces that made it easy to just relax and take it all in. There’s something about being surrounded by nature and trees here that gives you a real sense of adventure and excitement. The river was the highlight for me—it was beautiful, peaceful, and added such a special touch to the whole experience. Sitting by the water and listening to it flow was the perfect way to start and end the day. If you’re looking for a place that feels both wild and refreshing, this spot is exactly that.
