Ghost hunters~ many boarders have seen a floating lady in a long white dress.. we call her the "white witch". Often when traversing the trails at night we have found areas with severe temperature drops.
We are far enough away from town to have spectacular viewing of stars
Experience the life on an Arabian show horse facility for a few days! We have 20 amp electrical hook up, hot/cold water in the horses wash racks. a public restroom with toilet.
We have a charcoal grill, and a fire pit. Feel free to gather wood from anywhere on the property for the fire pit. Bring charcoal lighter to get the fire going unless you are a primitive survivalist.
WE ALSO HAVE A PLAYGROUND FOR SMALL CHILDREN!
We do NOT have a public shower but the Love's and the QT station are both 3 miles away and they have several super nice showers available at their truck stop!
The barn lounge has a fridge and microwave, ceiling fan for relaxing and watching the lessons and horse training! Sign up for a few lessons for a fee while you are here! (when an instructor has an opening, must book in advance) Bring your own horses and ride the trails!
**Warning** there are a few weeks mid Summer when the deer flies are swarming and the trails are not good for riding horses!
WE DO NOT HAVE 30amp electrical hook ups but many large RV's turn off hot water heaters and use propane on their fridges and the 20 amp circuit was plenty to power the rest of their RV or use generators!

Very cool spot especially if you want to see the farm animals, it’s well kept and clean. We were there when it wasn’t busy but the camps sights are a pretty close so if you were to have neighbors you won’t have much privacy unless you’re inside. I would definitely recommend the host to include some utensils, cups, and bowls even plastics would be fine. Also grill tools even just a scrubber to clean it off. Aside from small gripes it was a great stay very pleased would stay again!

We absolutely loved our experience here. The hosts, Lisa and James were very friendly, along with their sweet dog. They have tons if animals you can feed. They have cute bathrooms. The place is quiet. We'd definitely recommend and we'd definitely come back.

This was such a fun place to stay! The weather wasn't the best the week I was there, rainy and cold. But nevertheless the experience of staying at a working stable was fun.
Every morning the horses get fed, then let out of their stables into the fields. And every evening they get brought back in.
I stayed around the back of the main stable next to the juvenile pen. They have 2 youngsters who I ended up making friends with.
If you can't tell I'm not a horse person. But being able to stay at Sun Valley, I'm learning to love them! Definitely worth the stay.
Note: you're staying amongst the stables, so expect flies and smells. Enjoy the atmosphere! It's all part of the experience!

Great location and site. The animals are friendly and provide a great soundtrack to your stay. The site included a raised, wooden tent pad which was great. There are a good amount of trash cans available and the area is incredibly well maintained. The outhouse is in great condition and provides enough hot water for a good shower while the laundry facility provides an incredible resource and a free outlet. I felt very safe and had a wonderful experience. 10/10

Camping in the A frame was absolutely perfect. We arrived late and left early as it was just a stop on our travel but it was exactly what we needed. The grounds were clean and quiet. The bed and bedding was more comfortable than most hotels. We used the AC in the A-frame for a little while but it cooled so well we ended up turning it off. The showers were huge in comparison to other campgrounds and they were very clean with hot water. Wish we could've stayed longer than the one night. We'll definitely go back on our next trip!

We have stayed at Piney Hills two fall seasons in a row now, and I can’t envision a year that we wouldn’t return. I love it (wife) because it is gated and I feel safe there, my husband loves it because it gets his wife out into nature (😂), and the kids love digging around for toads and bugs, and they love the farm animals so much. We’ve stayed both in an A frame and a tent site. If you’re staying in a tent and you want sleep, there are roosters at the farm so bring some ear plugs, they crow early! Ha! ;) Lisa is so sweet to the kids, and you can tell they just love providing a great place for families and everyone to enjoy a little slice of nature. 10/10.

This was such a hidden gem! The cabin was adorable, clean, and close to a very nice bathhouse. We were right next to two friendly ponies, and a short walk from a variety of animals, which the kids loved feeding. The campground was clean, quiet, and peaceful. Lisa was so kind, and even brought us a bottle of wine because we were there to celebrate a birthday. We will absolutely be back!

We stayed two nights in the large A-frame and had a wonderful time. The campsites are spacious, not crowded together like so many others. The bath house was clean, quaint, and so adorable. They even had motion sensor lights to light up the area as you walk up to it at night. Their animals are so precious and are fun to interact with. There is quite a lot of acreage and many trails, unfortunately we did not get to take advantage of them this trip (next time!). The hosts, Lisa and James, are incredible people that go above and beyond if needed. Their Farm and Campground is a continuous work in progress, but you can tell it is a labor of love. This is not a place for those who love KOA type campgrounds (no pool, no clubhouse or tennis courts, etc...), but I would highly recommend it for those who truly love to camp. And as we travel with our two little dogs everywhere we go, it was important for us to find someplace that was pet friendly. Our dogs had a great time meeting all the animals and seemed to enjoy their stay as much as we did. Lisa and James even provided some treats for them upon our arrival. Overall, a great experience!

This place is wonderful and I hope to be able to stay here again. My friend and our dog stayed in an A-Frame campsite. Throughout our stay I was so impressed with how our Piney Hills Campground site had all the simple necessities. Nothing more, nothing less, & in a pleasant style/decor. The land is beautiful, and it is filled with the world's cutest animals ! Emus, ponies, geese, ducks, chickens, goats, and three little piggies seemed as happy to see us as we were them. We got to listen to the sound of a distant (perfect volume) train whistle and rooster crowing during our stay too. A very comfortable time in nature was had. Thank you, Piney Hills Campground !

Weekend Trip to Piney Hills Campground
I loved the glamping experience here, lots of cure animals on the property like ponies,lamb,ducks an Emu and the sweetest farm dogs you'll ever meet. Hot water in the showers and every site came with a fire pit,grill and picnic table. Had a lovely weekend here and can't recommend the wine tour enough.

All of the above was amazing!! Lisa and James had great knowledge about nearby attractions!! The bathroom/shower was clean and easily accessible! Laundry was a great add on but bring some quarters (however the hosts worked with us to get us the change we needed). Make sure to give helping hand to feed the animals as it was a highlight for us!! This was such an awesome place and we would be happy to stay here again!!

I loved the livestock right outside the site. Beautiful and well maintained. All the amenities we needed and Dwayne was so super. Waiting for our delayed arrival.

Jessica and Scott were amazing hosts. Lots of wildlife to see as well as chickens and some loving dogs. WiFi was very fast. They also had a nice bathroom with a hot shower. The city of Dublin was cute with lots of different restaurants.

Dwayne is a great host he went out of his way to make sure we got to our site even when we didn’t arrive until 9pm. We awoke in the morning to peaceful surroundings with goats , cows , horses and a few mules in the next field over along with the sounds of peacocks in the distance. Heavenly peace 🙏🙏
