My husband, Randy and I enjoy the peace and quiet we get and the plus of being close to the Interstate for when we need to make trips to Atlanta.

We own a small farm on 64 total acres with around 59 wooded. We have 4 primitive camping sites with lots of woods, wildlife, and two small creeks. We are even located on a short dirt road to give you that country feel.
All of our sites are spread out from one another and you will feel secluded in the woods with nature.
On our farm are free range chickens, peacocks, goats and a donkey in a pasture, turkeys (wild and domesticated), honeybees (in the field), and a few outdoor cats.

WE ALSO HAVE A PLAYGROUND FOR SMALL CHILDREN!
We do NOT have a public shower but the Love's and the QT station are both 3 miles away and they have several super nice showers available at their truck stop!
The barn lounge has a fridge and microwave, ceiling fan for relaxing and watching the lessons and horse training! Sign up for a few lessons for a fee while you are here! (when an instructor has an opening, must book in advance) Bring your own horses and ride the trails!
**Warning** there are a few weeks mid Summer when the deer flies are swarming and the trails are not good for riding horses!
WE DO NOT HAVE 30amp electrical hook ups but many large RV's turn off hot water heaters and use propane on their fridges and the 20 amp circuit was plenty to power the rest of their RV or use generators!

The Fried Green Tomatoes cafe and Sac-O-Suds (famous from the movie "My Cousin Vinny") [Edit: Sac-O-Suds store is currently closed. But still a scenic drive-by] are an easy drive as well as Covington GA where you can see The Vampire Diary clock tower (or take a tour of other filming locations). There are many quaint shops in town, a 10 minute drive, or in nearby Madison GA. This is a great country getaway to reconnect with nature and peace. We are just far enough away not to be intrusive, but near enough if you need assistance.

We have a charcoal grill, and a fire pit. Feel free to gather wood from anywhere on the property for the fire pit. Bring charcoal lighter to get the fire going unless you are a primitive survivalist.
WE ALSO HAVE A PLAYGROUND FOR SMALL CHILDREN!
We do NOT have a public shower but the Love's and the QT station are both 3 miles away and they have several super nice showers available at their truck stop!
The barn lounge has a fridge and microwave, ceiling fan for relaxing and watching the lessons and horse training! Sign up for a few lessons for a fee while you are here! (when an instructor has an opening, must book in advance) Bring your own horses and ride the trails!
**Warning** there are a few weeks mid Summer when the deer flies are swarming and the trails are not good for riding horses!
WE DO NOT HAVE 30amp electrical hook ups but many large RV's turn off hot water heaters and use propane on their fridges and the 20 amp circuit was plenty to power the rest of their RV or use generators!

The Fried Green Tomatoes cafe and Sac-O-Suds (famous from the movie "My Cousin Vinny") [Edit: Sac-O-Suds store is currently closed. But still a scenic drive-by] are an easy drive as well as Covington GA where you can see The Vampire Diary clock tower (or take a tour of other filming locations). There are many quaint shops in town, a 10 minute drive, or in nearby Madison GA. This is a great country getaway to reconnect with nature and peace. We are just far enough away not to be intrusive, but near enough if you need assistance.

SureWood FoRest is a fantastic spot for escaping to nature. The sites are a way back on the property and well separated. It was a little muddy where I set up, but rain will do that. My dog loved being off lead and exploring nearby while I cooked and tended the fire. She was a little disappointed that the goats didn't want to meet her. We took some nice walks around the property, and drove over to High Falls State Park to hike the trail there.
I definitely recommend this camp if you're looking to unplug and unwind.

This is a great secluded spot for over night or a weekend trip. Me and my two brother in laws wanted a quick getaway. It was easy to get to. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. I had plenty of room for my sprinter and a jeep with two tents and space for cooking around the fire. I would highly recommend checking this spot out.

I had a wonderful stay on JoLane and Sam's place. JoLane offered prompt replies and all information needed for arrival. Sam (a veteran) met me and guided me to Site 4. We had a nice chat about local going-ons... all the more making me feel at home. The site was just right for my Colorado and 16ft camper. That being said, this site would be perfect for single or multiple tent camping! I enjoyed the peaceful feeling of being in remote, deep woods... without really being far away from conveniences or access to major roads. Do yourself a favor a spend a night or two here!

Staying at the farm has been one of the best camping trips I’ve ever taken! Mrs Jo and Mr Sam were the absolute best hosts anyone could ask for! Had help unloading and bringing my gear to the site. They were also so nice to let me borrow a small heater for when it was going to get down to freezing. The weather was beautiful and the walks through the property were great. My dog and I thoroughly enjoyed being around the goats and the mule since we stayed at the goat site. Enjoyed waking up to the roosters and peacocks. Plenty of good deadfall for firewood and the sites are set up very well. I also brought home some soap and honey that were made at the farm. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend of relaxation and time in the woods. So many great things, but too many to list! You will definitely have to go experience it for yourself! I will definitely be returning!

This was such a fun place to stay! The weather wasn't the best the week I was there, rainy and cold. But nevertheless the experience of staying at a working stable was fun.
Every morning the horses get fed, then let out of their stables into the fields. And every evening they get brought back in.
I stayed around the back of the main stable next to the juvenile pen. They have 2 youngsters who I ended up making friends with.
If you can't tell I'm not a horse person. But being able to stay at Sun Valley, I'm learning to love them! Definitely worth the stay.
Note: you're staying amongst the stables, so expect flies and smells. Enjoy the atmosphere! It's all part of the experience!

Scott was incredibly nice guy. Love what he is building at the Golden Goose. Living the dream! Showers and toilets are built ans is the party shed and they may not yet show on his page. This was just a “passing through” trip for us and he is a little off the beaten path but worth the few minutes to get there. Maybe 20 minutes from the Buc-ees at Warner Robbins so you’ve got everything….and a beautiful drive to get there!!
