The Cabin at Welder Ranch

If you are looking to get far away where you can see every star at night, enjoy the sound of a pristine headwaters stream, look out on horses and green pastures and walk out your door to some of the most beautiful alpine trails in the world, the Cabin at Welder Ranch is your place.  Moose, elk, and deer travel these forests and meadows, and the Cabin's adjacency to the enormous and pristine White River National Forest gives you incredible space to imagine yourself back in time. Unwind and rejuvenate in alpine nature, with each season offering its own incredible and unique beauty. Make a fire, cocoon over your own homecooked meals, enjoy a cocktail or hot chocolate and listen to the outdoor sounds as you sit on the porch overlooking open meadows with beaver ponds and gushing streams.  Ride horses,  hike, fish, and explore. This is a dream location for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.    Our ranch property is surrounded by the White River National Forest and has been in the family for over 30 years. There are 100's of miles of streams and trails for hiking, riding, and OHV's.

  There is an additional charge for pets but they are welcome as long as they stay off the furniture. 

 We operate a guide and outfitting service from the ranch and provide horseback rides and back country trips. 

 The cabin was built around 1973. It has a bedroom, full bathroom, living area, and kitchen. It uses electric heat and has a wood stove.

The cabin is pet friendly and comes stocked with firewood to keep you and your furry friends warm and cozy!

Ward Family Ranchette & Homestead

We own a beautiful 10 acre property with awesome views going up Current Creek Mountain Road in Fruitland Utah and a 5 acre property with awesome mountain views in front of the Dinosaur National Monument in Dinosaur Colorado. We look forward to sharing both with you!

Fruitland is a great location and it's only an hour from the property up on the mountain to Park City Utah. There is a full service gas station with a restaurant, RV Park, and even a small church building in town just minutes down the mountain. There are several reservoirs within a short drive in every direction from the campsite. Amazing amounts of wildlife right on the property throughout the year.

Dinosaur is a great location and it's 5 minutes from the property to the CO side of the Dinosaur National Monument and less than 30 minutes from the UT side and the Dinosaur National Monument Quarry Visitor Center. There are full service gas stations, restaurants, cannabis dispensaries, as well as a convenience-store, liquor store, RV Park, and electric vehicle charging station in town just minutes down the road. There are several well known hiking trails within a short drive in every direction from the campsite.

The Fruitland campsite is best for tent camping. Pulling anything bigger than a small camper into this campsite will be difficult. There will be flexibility on cancellations due to weather on the mountain.

The Dinosaur campsite is well suited for tent & RV camping. Pulling in campers and motorhomes into this campsite will be very easy. Direct year-round access to the property is off of HWY 40. 

Pets will also be allowed without restrictions.

Mountain View Camping

Learn more about this land:This is an active cattle ranch.  Camping is located in a nice shaded area near a stream where there are resident Eagles, Sandhill Cranes, Blue Herron, Deer and Antelope.  It is only 3 miles north of Craig!
