Black Squirrel Creek runs through the back of our beautiful praire land. Although it does not run most of the time, there have been a handful of times it has run in the past several years. Even so the soft creek sand is magnificent. The creek shore is fantastic for building sand castles. The property backs up to nothing thus preventing light pollution. It's amazing for stargazing.Learn more about this land:Beautiful views of the plains. Mountains are visible in the far distance. Nothing beyond the back of the property in sight which means no light pollution. AMAZING for stargazing. Nothing but the neighbors cows to be near in the camping area. Can see the houses off in the distance.

Welcome to Monument Glamping! Nestled between Denver and Colorado Springs, we're thrilled to be your hosts on this enchanting glamping journey. Chris and Wendy your hosts here, and since 2019, we've been sharing our slice of paradise with fellow adventurers like you. We're dedicated to providing a safe and relaxing semi-outdoor experience on our beautiful creekside property.

The 2024 season offers your choice of 8 unique units with the option of a renting the main house for large events. Most of our units are perfect for a romantic getaway for two, and we offer a few venues with room for kids, dogs, or some friends. Allow us to introduce you to our offerings:

1. The Classic - A container home that marries modern convenience with natural splendor.

2. Big Red - A cozy tiny home equipped with all the amenities, including a deck overlooking stunning vistas.

3. Sunshine - Discover paradise within a safari tent, featuring a private back room and grill for your indulgence.

4. Stargazer - Immerse yourself in nature's beauty within a safari tent beneath a canopy of pine and scrub oak.

5. The Family Glamper - With queen and bunk beds, a family of 4 fits nicely, and maybe 6 can squeeze in. The creek is a stone's throw away.

6. Braveheart - Find solace beside the creek in a bell tent or yurt, your off-grid hideaway featuring a camp toilet and creekside porch.

7. Beauty - Delight in the tranquility of a bell tent or yurt, your secluded sanctuary with an off-grid camp toilet and creekside porch.

8. Butterfly - Unplug and unwind in a safari tent, complete with off-grid privacy and a grill, a stone's throw away from the flowing creek.

NEW for 2024: The house has been remodeled and is available for group outings. The 3/2 home has full kitchen and spacious living area with front and back decks for gatherings. Available for rent only with complimentary rentals of our glamping venues. Perfect for reunions, wedding parties, church or office retreats, and other large-group gatherings.

Our standard extras include a second vehicle, extra guests, propane service, early arrival or late check out, and pets. But consider additional enhancements like our Romantic Surprise, Colorado Cookout, Private Hot Tub, and Homemade Wine Tastings. With advance notice, we can have quite the experience set up for you when you and your loved one arrives.

Falkor Ranch

Falkor Ranch is located on rolling hills on the Palmer Divide about an hour southeast of Denver, Colorado. Located at 7,000 feet with a beautiful view of Pike's Peak and the Rocky Mountains. Your camping fee includes a farm orientation, indoor plumbing, a hot shower and a picnic table.

You will meet 12 beautiful alpacas, 16 Nubian goats for milk, weed control and just because they make us happy, and a large flock of laying chickens for fresh eggs. We have a variety of gardens and a year-round geodesic dome greenhouse that provides us with fresh produce. This is a quiet country setting - we can see our neighbors only if we try hard. There are many popular and diverse activity sites less than an hour away. Come escape the hustle and bustle of home, avoid the quarantine of the day, and enjoy the beauty of nature and our loving animals.

We offer both tent and RV listings to suit however you like to travel. We have a hot shower, bathroom, picnic tables, potable water, and trash and recycle bins. Our RV listing has both 20 and 30 amp electrical hookup but no water or sewer hookups.

Our guests love us too! "We had an amazing time here! Diane is so sweet and showed us all of their beautiful friendly animals and plants when we arrived and even offered fresh goat milk and a plant starter! The land was gorgeous and we got to watch adorable goats from our tent. One of my favorite camping experiences ever!"

Standiford Goat and Equine Ranch

Our family-owned noncommercial ranch/campground is nestled against the Raspberry Butte hillside and near the Front Range Mountains on the West side of Highway I-25. It is 51 acres of rolling hills, Ponderosa Pine, and Douglas Fir Trees. Our property extends halfway up Raspberry Butte therefore there are lots of large rocks on our property. It is a working ranch with several horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, ducks, and dogs. WE ARE EXPECTING BABY GOATS AND A FOAL IN APRIL 2024. It is our goal to constantly work towards improving our property.

In the past we have accepted all dogs at our campsites. However, a change in insurance through Hipcamp only allows for service dogs on our property. 

On our property you will see an enclosure with Nigerian Dwarf goats, chickens, ducks, and two donkeys. You can enter the enclosure by appointment only.

Our eight-stall barn is where we feed our horses and raise our baby goats, chicks, and foals. We offer our hip campers an opportunity to learn how to care for our animals; horseback rides in a round pen; and a dump station. Just sign up at the time you book your stay under EXTRAS. 

Thirty acres of our property are fenced for the horses and located directly behind the campsites. In addition, we have lots of wildlife including but not limited to: Deer, Elk, Coyotes, Bobcats, Wild Turkeys, Mountain Lions, Snakes, and Bears. 

We are approximately 2 miles from the town of Larkspur between Spruce Mountain Road and Perry Park Road. (Please note Google Maps will try and send you to a location on Perry Park Road which is incorrect. Please refer to the map located on this website.)

Due to our remote location, we have spotty Wifi. Typically ATT, Starlink, and TMobile work best. Verizon reception can be located at certain spots around our ranch.

There are three restaurants located in the town of Larkspur including pizza, Mexican food, and a pub. There is also a large park with lots of kids' play equipment. During the summer there are concerts at the park on the weekends.

We are approximately 2 miles from the Colorado Renaissance Festival located in Larkspur. The Renaissance Festival typically runs between June and July. We are 10 miles from the town of Palmer Lake which has fishing, kayaking, and several restaurants. Spruce Mountain hiking trails are 2-3 miles away.

We are approximately 40 miles north of Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Seven Falls, and Manitou Springs. We are approximately 40 miles south of Denver and all of its attractions.

Campers will be required to sign a Waiver and Release of Liability when camping with us. The following is a copy of the Waiver:

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

IN CONSIDERATION OF the risk of injury that exists while participating in CAMPING (hereinafter the “Activity) and

IN CONSIDERATION OF my desire to participate in said activity and being given the right to participate in same:

I HEREBY, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, or personal representatives, (thereinafter collectively, “Releasor”, “I”, or “me”, which terms shall also include: Releasor’s parents or guardian if Releasor is under 18 years of age), knowingly and voluntarily enter into this WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY and hereby waive any and all rights, claims or causes of action of any kind arising out of my participation in the Activity; and

I HEREBY, release and forever discharge Clint and Teresa Standiford (Standiford Ranch LLC) located at 1225 Fox Farm Road, Larkspur, Colorado 80118, their affiliates, managers, members, agents, attorneys, staff, volunteers, heirs, representatives, predecessors, successors, and assigns (collectively “Releasees”), from any physical or psychological injury that I may suffer as a direct result of my participation in the aforementioned Activity.

I AM VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATING IN THE AFOREMENTIONED ACTIVITY AND I AM PARTICIPATING IN THE ACTIVITY AT MY OWN RISK. I AM AWARE OF THE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH PARTICIPATING IN THIS ACTIVITY, WHICH MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO PHYSICAL OR PSYCHOLOGICAL INJURY, PAIN, SUFFERING, ILLNESS, DISFIGUREMENT, TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT DISABILITY (INCLUDING PARALYSES), ECONOMIC OR EMPTIONAL LOSS, AND DEATH. I UNDERSTAND THAT THESE INJURIES OR OUTCOMES MAY ARISE FROM MY OWN OR OTHERS' NEGLIGENCE, CONDITIONS RELATED TO TRAVEL TO AND FROM THE ACTIVITY, OR FROM CONDITIONS AT THE ACTIVITY LOCATION(S) NONETHELESS, I ASSUME ALL RELATED RISKS, BOTH KNOWN AND UNKNOWN TO ME, OR MY PARTICIPATION IN THIS ACTIVITY.

I FURTHER AGREE to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Releasees against any and all claims, suits, or actions of any kind whatsoever for liability, damages, compensation or otherwise brought by me or anyone on my behalf including attorney’s fees and any related costs.

I FURTHERMORE ACKNOWLEDGE that Releasees are not responsible for errors, omissions, acts or failures to act of any party or entity conducting a specific event or activity on behalf of Releasees. If I should require medical care or treatment, I authorize Clint and Teresa Standiford to provide all emergency medical care deemed necessary, including but not limited to, first aid, CPR, the use of AEDs, emergency medical transport, and sharing of medical information with medical personnel. I further agree to assume all costs involved in my medical treatment and agree to indemnify and save. and hold harmless the Releasees and each of them from any loss, liability, damage, or cost including bodily injury or death.

I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND HAVE SIGNED IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT, ASSURANCE OR GUARANTEE BEING MADE TO ME AND INTEND MY SIGNATURE TO BE A COMPLETE AND UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY TO THE GREATEST ALLOWED BY LAW.

the campsite - large enough for a van or car 

Entrance to our property from Fox Farm Road which is a paved street. 

Campsite 1 is 50 feet in length. It is next to 30 acres of our fenced in wooded property. It backs to a spring-fed pond.

Campsite #2 is located approximately 120 yards from Fox Farm Road. The site is outlined with tree trunks and has a sign. You can pull in or back into the site.

Campsite #3 is the largest campsite and will accommodate two families. It is on the west side of the entrance and approximately 150 yards from the entry.

Campsite #3 is the largest of the 5 sites. It is circular and will accommodate a large motor home or 2 small trailers.

Campsite #4 is on the east side of the driveway approximately 160 yards from the entrance. It is closest to the petting zoo.

Campsite 5 is next to Campsite 3 and across from the petting zoo. It will accommodate a truck and trailer up to 45 feet. Campsite 5 backs to 30 acres of fenced horse enclosure. In addition, much of our wildlife includes deer, rabbits, turkeys, and coyotes. Occasionally we will get a bobcat or bear on our property.
