Great location!! Nothing fancy but a great place to park within Yosemite. Would highly recommend if you have a small RV or camper van.

1 night at Musick Creek Falls

Gorgeous views, granite falls, small and quiet! What more could we ask for?! Turns out - time is what we wanted more of in this spot. The spring nearby, the provided bench and sun cover were helpful, too. We were a group of 4 + 1 dog, staying in our way to a longer hike further in the mountains, and this location was perfect.

This campsite was incredible. The multiple private falls were so beautiful and peaceful and the host was so kind. Great location, great amenities, great campsite.

2 nights at Bridgeport Reservoir Campground

Absolutely wonderful stay!! The lake is beautiful in the morning. They have the option to rent kayaks so we took two out in the morning (afternoon the water gets choppy) and it was fabulous! There were a lot of lake files when we went in July but they don’t bite, just hang around. Amazing and wonderful time!

This spot was amazing—peaceful, spacious, and truly secluded. We had a huge area all to ourselves, with a beautiful view of the creek below and small waterfalls in the distance. It felt like our own private retreat just outside of Yosemite. A perfect place to unwind after exploring the park. Highly recommend if you're looking for quiet and nature-filled camping!

Private lot with a good shade. Adam is very attentive and makes sure things are right. Yosemite National Park was not very far away.

1 night at Bridgeport Reservoir Campground

Gorgeous spot with a great view of the reservoir. We arrived late but had no trouble setting up—flat ground and easy to find in the dark. The moonlit view of the water at night was absolutely stunning. There were lots of little flies around, but no need to worry—they weren’t mosquitoes and didn’t bother us much. Peaceful, scenic, and a perfect stop near Mono Lake!

2 nights at Musick Creek Falls

We loved tent camping at Shandies and Jesses incredible land!Shandie was very welcoming and gave us a quick run down of the land and some direction. We camped with kids.The campsite is a little at an incline but level in some areas mostly dirt. We had a 6 person and a 4 person tent.I would say it fit two 4 person tents or just the 6 person for this site. there was a picnic table covered by a netted gazebo with a lantern which was nice because we didn’t bring ours. Shandie let us use two umbrellas for a little more shade.The site wasn’t too big but definitely enough room for the 5 of us.They provide a delicious fresh spring tap! We followed a recommended path down our campsite to a beautiful waterfall and natural pools. The scenery and energy of the land was just intoxicating.The natural pools and waterfalls really help you appreciate such a simple pleasure. We saw fish, a turtle, a tiny little green snake and beautiful butterflies/dragonflies.The rocks can be very slippery! We all took precautions but still all fell with water shoes lol.The experience was unforgettable we stayed two nights and the weather was bearable.The day heats up quick but the water and little shaded areas near trees are very refreshing we had a little breeze at times.The night sky was dark and lit with stars!It was beautiful.the sunsets are unforgettable and my kids are already planning a trip to come back next year we want to try out a different site.There’s two fire pits on this site &clean outhouse.

Super awesome creek!! The watering hole was so refreshing on a summer day. Christian was an amazing host as well, our truck got stuck in a ditch and he was right there to pull us out! Overall amazing campsite and stay.

Campsite had beautiful views of the water, mountains, and sunsets. Sites are closer together than they appear but not bad. 10/10 would come again. The lake was really fun we had brought paddle boards to use and the have water equipment to rent during ur stay.

This was a perfect place to stay after a day in Yosemite! The directions were straightforward, easy, and the camp spot was beautiful.

Site was good! Plenty of room to set up XL tent or multiple smaller tents. Only downside was the amount of mayflies. Not the owners fault at all, but they were bothersome. Set up a bug zapper and didn’t have too many issues after. Did enjoy having the corner/end of row site!

Weekend Trip to Bridgeport Reservoir Campground

The general store was super convenient for the last minute items we forgot and ice. The woman working it was lovely as well and super helpful! The views from the campground were absolutely gorgeous, both during the day and at night. With no light pollution, the stars were the absolute brightest I'd ever seen them. The moon reflecting off the lake was *chef's kiss*. My family and I loved looking for constellations and basking in the magic of it all. The site itself was the largest we had during our two week trip and the shade over the table was a really thoughtful touch. Everyone we met around camp was very nice. They have two bath houses so when one is clogged or unusable (which unfortunately it was) you can still use the other one, which we were grateful for with kids. A couple things to note, that I wish I would have known previously. There is a MAJOR mosquito issue. I always expect to see a few and a few bites anywhere near water, but this was something completely different. They were EVERYWHERE. It felt like you were breathing them in. Our car was so covered it looked polka dotted and they kept getting in when we were setting up and tearing down. We had several to kill during our drive. During the night the sound of them hitting the tent was enough to disturb our sleep. It was actually kind of crazy. However, now that I know that and can come prepared with spray, bands, and a citronella candle I would absolutely still stay again. The positives far outweigh the issue.

3 nights at Musick Creek Falls

I absolutely ADORED this stunning gem. We went during the week days and it was so quiet and peaceful. The lower falls site was set up with a gazebo over the table which was awesome to have for shade while cooking when the sun was high. There was a sky deck with a little table and chairs to enjoy a little romantic dinner while watching the sunset. The stars were INCREDIBLE. There’s no shortage of trails and pools to explore along the creek and the abundance of wildflowers all around was amazing. We didn’t get a chance to check out shaver lake because we just loved being at camp so much, but we definitely will be back and will be sure to check it out next time. The town was super cute and just a short drive away for supplies runs. I honestly loved the composting toilet/outhouse. Haha. It was private and stayed cool even during the hottest time of day and was impressively clean. Shandie was an amazing host and absolutely wonderful to talk to. She greeted us shortly after we arrived to give us the run down and shopped some wood for us. Any questions we had before/during our visit were promptly answered. You can tell how much time and care they have put into creating this beautiful getaway and I’m so thankful I got to experience it. I cannot recommend it enough and I will absolutely be coming back.. like. A lot. Haha.

3 nights at Hidden Falls Yosemite Camp

We loved our stay at Hudson’s + Wendy’s campsite and would recommend it to any of our friends. Getting there: This is a private campsite nestled in between properties. You will need to take a private road with a few switchbacks to get to the site while passing by a few houses. You will pass by Rena’s house(there may be boxes/trash on the side) and she is an incredible person to get to know during your stay if you enjoy talking to people. She gave us local recommendations and after our car battery died, offered to help us if we needed it. Although this may not impact everyone - the house right before the last switchback you must pass to get to the site has a Trump flag, which made us feel uneasy but we never ran into them directly. During the stay: The setup includes a working hose with water, 1 extension cord with electricity and access to a shed with a toilet + biodegradable bags. They also offer a bathroom + shower if you take the small walk up to their property located in a private area. All of those things made our stay comfortable and Rena(the neighbor) really made us feel safe at night after getting to know her. There’s also a beautiful waterfall + creek running right behind the camp site that too. Preparing for the trip: We used our 2023 Nissan Pathfinder for this one and if I had a longer car, I would’ve been hesitant to drive it down myself because the turns are sharp. If you have a car low to the ground it’s doable but it may scuff the bottom cover.

Awesome place incredible hosts. Jesse and Shandie are the bomb. They make you feel like family and are so darn accommodating. There property is unreal it’s like place out of a story book. Waterfalls, hiking, exploring. Etc. They have camping equipment if need be just ask. Firewood is on site. Shaver lake is right up the road. they will even accommodate you with kayaks to explore the lake. Definitely going again 5 out of 5 stars in my book

Bridgeport Reservoir is a lake at the lower end of Bridgeport Valley in Mono County, California. Its earth-filled dam was constructed in 1923 by the Walker River Irrigation District, along the East Walker River. The campground and marina was built I-don't-know-how-long ago, but it sure is nice! Within the Toiyabe National Forest, Bridgeport Reservoir Marina and Campground is conveniently located near two distinct hot spring areas. A true angler's paradise, the Reservoir has excellent trout fishing from spring through fall and is close by to multiple rivers for incredible fly fishing. A 35 minute drive on highway 120 will take you to the Tioga Pass Gate of Yosemite National Park. This gate is a great start to several different areas inside of the park that you may want to visit beyond that gate. Off-road enthusiasts would not have enough time in one visit to explore all of the 4x4 trails, abandoned mines, and sites in the area as well as the famous trail that brings you right to the Bodie Ghost Town. Climate and Ecosystem: At 6,400 feet (1,950 meters), this high desert climate has little to moderate tree coverage and gets hot during the days and cool at night. The conditions are much like Joshua Tree National Park or Alabama Hills camping area. During your visit, you will notice many flying insects that resemble mosquitos. These Chironomid are harmless and do not bite. On the contrary, the mosquito presence is very minimal. Swimming in the lake is possible usually between April to July.

We do have modern conveniences such as wifi internet; however, we encourage our guests to “unplug” and immerse in the slow paced life instead. At Paradise Shores, we believe in protecting people, animals and the planet. We make sure that the majority of products we use at our camp is recycled, composted, or re-used. We prefer to use products that are produced in a sustainable way and avoid those that aren't. We are continuously reducing the amount of waste we generate and actively promote recycling of aluminum, plastic, glass, and cardboard. We pack our own recycling and haul it to the nearest recycling facility which is an hour away. We co-opt the drive with other activities to reduce waste. We don’t use individually packaged toiletries or one-use products. We use plant and planet friendly detergent. We're based in a desert. We share our precious water with the entire planet. With only 326 million cubic miles of water on the earth, the decreasing amounts of access to quality fresh water is alarming to us. We monitor how we use water in our day-to-day activities and are constantly working on ways to reduce our consumption of fresh-water resources. We hope you can help us maintain this greener camping! We hope Paradise Shores Camp becomes your home as it is ours. It’s located in one of the most spectacular areas in the world. We’re surrounded on three sides by the high Sierra Nevada Mountains. The excellent hiking/running trails including the Pacific Crest Trail, thousands of miles of ATV, dirt bike and mountain bike trails are accessible right from our camp or within a short drive from here. The surrounding terrain offers endless activities and unbelievable scenery in remote wilderness settings. Pet Policy All our RV & Tent sites are pet friendly and we allow up to two dogs per reservation for a small fee. We can also accommodate up to two four-legged campers in our pet-friendly Baja or Tatra trailers for a small fee, we ask that they stay off the furniture (beds, sofas etc.) and are not left in the rental unattended. We love dogs, but sadly won’t be able to accommodate heavily shedding pets that aren’t house trained. Additionally, our insurance will not allow "aggressive breeds" that include any mix of: Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Doberman, German Sheppard.
